I recently stayed at the Zetter weekend of 5th Septmeber, it was a real find, the room was lovely, small but lovely decor and extremely clean - with regard to small room my cousin who I stayed with said it was not a small room at all by London standards! The staff were brilliant, over the course of the stay a few queries and help was asked for and each staff we both spoke to were very helpful, they seemed to definitely like working there but in any event definitely had good customer service skills that some hotel staff dont seem to have at other places I have stayed. The bar area and restaurant looked great, we only had cocktails but the next morning at breakfast it looked full and the food looked good. We ate out at nearby pubs during the 2 days which were both very good, and then out to Islington in the evening so very good base to do this, would definitely stay there again!

My husband and I stayed at The Zetter for a couple of nights on Aug bank holiday weekend 2009. We are big fans of boutique hotels and this one certainly lived up to all our expectations.
The Zetter is a super cool hotel and is situated in a superb location for restaurants, bars and clubs. The food was excellent and we loved the jazz on the Sunday afternnoon.
We would highly recommend staying at The Zetter.

The hotel is located in a great spot; Clerkenwell is great for bars and restaurants and is pretty close to Shoreditch etc for more choice (easy for tube access via Farringdon for the rest of the city). The staff were all welcoming and very efficient, the rooms were decked out really nicely and extremely clean, and the restaurant served great food / booze! What more can anyone ask?

The Zetter was outstanding on all levels, no request was too much, facilities and rooms were a joy, boutique chic to a T. I must say the staff are fantastic with a friendly professional "can do" approach that made our stay a dream. Having stayed in west end hotels on previous London breaks this was our first time in a smaller slightly out of the way hotel, however this is the only london hotel we've visited that we would return to in the future.

In a great part of London is this great hotel. The staff are excellent, the design and decor to this building are stunning and the rooms are also exceptional. It was not a grand room, however, everything is designed and built well. The design, the furniture, carpets and shower stood out, however, it's the little things such as umbrella, map of the area with points of interest and hot water bottle, that please me.
Breakfast was also good!
Unfortunately, not the hotel's fault, the wake up alarm from the room next door playing Coldplay excessively loud was unwelcome. Oh well.

The Zetter is a lovely hotel in a nice area. I thought it was expensive considering breakfast wasn't even included. Room was hot but nicely furnished and clean. Tea & coffee facilities are outside on a communal landing, which wasn't very convenient! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again if they did a reduced fee/special offer...too expensive otherwise.

Had a great first visit to the hotel and would use again. Its in a less frantic corner of the City in the evenings (however the traffic noise was evident yet to be expected somewhat from a central hotel) The room and hotel in general was comfy, modern, well air conditioned and quirky with all staff very personable, welcoming and helpful.

Excellent small hotel. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room we had was not huge, but nevertheless perfectly OK for a leisure stay, and nicely decorated. The only downside was that the clothes hanging space was a bit limited.
Breakfast was cooked to order and quite excellent. Area looks to be up and coming with plenty of pubs and restaurants used by locals, and within walking distance of the City.
Overall, exceptional value for money

At 139 on laterooms this was just about livable with but I stayed here for the location (I had a 7.30 am meeting close by) and could have got a much better deal elsewhere. From was modern and pleasant, though not much space around the bed. Bed was comfortable, walk in shower superb. "Mini-bar" was presented on what looked like a courtesy tray with the price list hidden, and could easily have got fleeced - usual 4 for a small toblerone etc. What really annoyed me was that there was a "shaving kit" provided in the room (consisting of the cheapest possible disposable razor and a totally inadequate mini tube of foam) and I initially thought this was a nice touch, commensurate with the price of the room, only to find that it was charged at an additional 2. I expect this sort of penny pinching from a Travelodge, but not from a supposed 200/night hotel.
I didn't get to experience much of the hotel otherwise, as arrived late and left early, but the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful, making more effort than is often the case in London hotels.

The atmosphere in the Hotel was laidback and chilled which is exactly what we were looking for.
After a busy time in town we came back to a late night drink in the Bar which has a great view of the Atrium.
The Room was also very nice and I particularly liked the descrete Air con. This was my second visit to the zetter and I have to say it is one of the best value hotels in central London. Staff are uber friendly, the rooms are smallish but very well kept and the bathrooms very cool. My only gripe is the PC based TV system...seems pointless and annoyingly slow and noisy, have no idea what the benefit is. Overall, great hotel in a superb location.

We had a great 2 day stay at the Zetter hotel. It's not as cheap as some rooms but worth the little extra money. The "Guest Rooms" (cheapest) are compact but quite funky & very clean with comfy beds. The staff were very helpful & friendly. Read the black information book in your room for a wealth of tips & walks. We enjoyed the neighbourhood feel in Clerkenwell as opposed to the indifferent touristy area of Kensington which we had experienced twice previously. Lots of places to eat nearby. We walked down to St Pauls cathedral & over to Spitalfields enjoying a beverage or two on the way!! Pity we had to leave after 2 nights but would definitely go back.

The hotel was acceptable and clean the room...
The hotel was acceptable and clean, the room was fairly standard sized for a london hotel, but very hot and stuffy despite the aircon plus the shutters didn't quite shut properly so we were woken up by the sun pretty early. Our main issue was that the Superior Double description on this site said we would have a queen sized bed, which is why we chose to pay extra for it rather than going with an ordinary double. We didn't get a queen sized bed and when we spoke to reception they said that the booking confirmation they recieved only said double, and their superior doubles are normally only doubles not queen sized. I had a screen print to show that we were led to believe otherwise and eventually succeeded in getting some money back, but it was a struggle!

A very trendy boutique hotel. The rooms are very contemporary, but not at all gloomy, unlike many. However, they are small. So, they're fine if you're on your own, but probably a bit too cosy for a couple, unless you upgrade. The other downside is the location. It's on the Clerkenwell Road and the surrounding clubs and bars are great, but this means the risk of being disturbed in the early hours as retreating revellers search for taxis. A good spot for young and trendy things and 'meedja' types.

A truly outstanding stay. spotless rooms where comfort and minimalist design were in perfect balance. An excellent restaurant with first class service. Some nice quirky design treats. Beats the pants off My-Hotel.
