Great Hotel, lovely view shame about the price of everthing in the hotel

Great hotel in a lovely part of Chelsea, i was disapointed they dont have parking facilities, £15 in the ncp next door or you can pay them £40 for valet parking. Nice staff very helpful, use of the pool and spa was a bonus, prices within the hotel are high so dont empty the mini bar or you will end up with about £500 worth of headache in the morning. Oh and the complementry slippers were a nice touch too (even though i couldnt get em on my feet) Overall though a quality place for the price

Easter Break

Slight disapointment as we had to change rooms twice. 1st room had window that wouldn't close properly making it very noisy, 2nd had no sofa bed for the children. Highly frustrating and lucky we hadn't fully unpacked. Staff were extremely helpful however in resolving the issue. Staff in fact are definitley a strong point in making staying here a positive experience, all are eager to please at all times.

Great but it so could have been superb

The location and quality of this hotel is excellent but a few things let it down. Firstly some of the staff were a little unfriendly and some looked undoubtedly bored which is never leaves a good impression. we wanted to find out about wifi in the room and had to call reception as the full details were not in the book in the room. Having to pay for wifi in a room that costs over £200 per night seems just a bit much when you can go to McDonalds and have it for free?! Having to use a key card to use the lift seemed a pain but there must be a good reason....somewhere. Lastly the gym and pool facilities were good but having no mixed steam or sauna was disappointing - I sat in the girls steam room on my own and my boyfriend sat in his boy one on his own. The hotel has so much going for it but it's sometimes lots of small points that make the stay just perfect and these were missing from the Wyndham.

Business & Leisure - Family with young children

I was looking for a hotel as I was required to be in London for business and wanted to extend the trip for leisure with a young family. I need a hotel with parking close by (NCP car park just round the corner), a swimming pool for the children (the hotel put no 'adult only' time restictions on access and had a very useful family changing room) and easy access for London sights (there is a London overgoround station, Imperial Warf, next to the hotel with lift access to the platforms). This hotel, while not the cheapest ticked all the boxes and so provided value for money.

Family weekend break

We stayed here end of November 2011 after getting a half price deal on lastminute.com We were looking for something a bit more special, and the hotel initially did have that WOW factor.
The negatives: I wouldn't say our welcome at reception was particularly warm - staff not particularly "smiley ", we had to remind housekeeping that they hadn't yet made up the sofa bed for the children, though that said when they were reminded it was sorted very quickly. The route to the pool and spa was a bit like walking through a tradesmans entrance, scruffy lift and corridors, not what we were expecting from a hotel of this calibre. (though the pool was very nice when you were there) . Quality of the food was average.
The Good points: Concierge very helpful, Rooms were good size and very well kitted out, lovely bar overlooking the harbour, close to tube station, lovely pool,
Good value for what we paid, but would have been disapointed if we had paid the full rate

Just lovely

Great for a stay with children - the pool made it for the kids and the staff made them very welcome. Having a suite was handy as we could watch TV in the bedroom while they slept on the sofa bed next door. I would have liked some child-friendly drinks in the room, not just tea and coffee, but they kindly brought up some complementary hot chocolate.

Review of Weekend Break

Booked through Late Rooms, fabulous Suite in lovely 5 star hotel.Would like to have over looked the harbour instead of train station, but nice as weather was warm for October.
Evening Meal was good and reasonably priced.Breakfast very expensive at £23.50 per person(the only reason we had it was that my chile ate free, however the evening meal only cost a little more, and that was with drinks included in the price.Have a Childrens room with a DVD playing in evening right by restaurant ,so you can keep an eye on the Children. We enjoyed our stay ,and would return,if I managed to get a good deal on the price again.

An excellent and spacious suite hotel

Ive stayed here many times, and it's always good. The doorman is always cheerful and helpful and helps park your car. The rooms are superb, I've always had a view over the marina and Thames, and the rooms have a balcony where one can enjoy a sundowner before an evening out. The hotel is walking distance from the 606 club, for Jazz lovers, and it's only a short cab ride to the Kings Road area of Chelsea with shops restaurants and cafés.

Summer Holiday 2011

An excellent choice of hotel for any family, the staff were really friendly and helpful and made the kids (and parents) feel extremely welcome. Had read reviews which had generally been positive a few negatives on location however we found the hotel a great base both to visit sites and friends (C3 bus to Earls Court, tube in to town, five minute walk to the No 11 bus on the Kings Road takes you in to the heart of the city via a lot of the major sites and the kids favorite river taxi to the Embankment and the London Eye). Leisure facilities at the hotel were good, pool great and kids allowed in at any time accompanied by an adult. Whilst not the cheapest hotel I can not recommend this hotel more as a family base for a stay in London. Think we have created a monster in my 8 year old daughter who now thinks all hotels are this good.

Great rooms

The rooms in this hotel are huge for London, spotlessly clean and come with every luxury you could want. The only negative for me was a slightly surly receptionist when we arrived (much better on check out!) Hotel is in walking distance of the Kings road and a short cab ride to the west end. We chose not to eat at the hotel as breakfast was £50! per day. Definately would visit again.

NICE SPOT

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Wyndham Grand. Staff were courteous and helpful but not effusive. The suite room was perfect for the four of us. Pool was lovely, although the times when children could swim was restrictive. Didn't eat in the hotel as prices were high and we ate whilst out. A 30 minute tube trip into the City, with a wait sometimes at the local station but that is part of the London experience!

Great Hotel in London

We had a wonderful stay, everything was great!
Downsides, were that there is nothing much locally. Nearest tube 20min walk or £6.00 Taxi! Overground Station next Door (Noise, can be heard through double glazing!) great during the week but at weekends expect it not to be running!
Good bus service, but loads of changes to get central London.
Would stay again, as Hotel and staff great!

Superb

Stayed here for the first time on Saturday. As we arrived the Chelsea football team were just leaving the hotel to go to Stamford Bridge which was a big bonus for my 11 year old son as we were off to see the F A Cup replay which unfortunately Chelsea lost on penalties. The staff at the hotel were fantastic and the room very comfortable. Great value for money and defo will stay there again. If you like Thai food try Thai Rice on Waterford Road about 15 mins walk just past a Tesco petrol station.

Weekend Break

I was upgraded on arrival to a fantastic Suite in this beautiful hotel in very picturesque surroundings for London. Our room overlooked the harbour. Complimentary wine and fruit was much appreciated. Only down side was, the area was absolutely dead at the weekend, all the shops were closed and the train station was also closed. Only a short walk to Fulham Broadway tube though and ten minute taxi ride to Westminster so no drama. It was a shame that the pool was out of use, as I had factored this into my agenda. All in all, a most enjoyable stay.

Valentines Stay

Had dinner booked in Central London on the saturday night and normally stay at a hotel in West End however on this occassion we decided to try out the Chelsea Harbour Hotel after a recomendation from a friend. Though the taxi journey to and from Central London was longer than expected with roadworks etc this was the only downside to a wonderful stay at a great hotel.
The staff were wonderful throughout the stay but a special mention to the ladies in the Spa who were v v friendlyand extremly professional.
The room itself was delightful with every need thought of from the espresso coffee machine to the bottled water by the bed.
We didnt eat on this occassion as we had a table booked in the West end but did have time to spend a relaxing couple of hours in the bar with a great view of the harbour and the opportunity to try out a couple of the great champagne cocktails on the menu.
We are back in London in 3 weeks and we will be staying at this fantastic hotel again. Thankyou to all the staff for a very memorable valentines weekend

We stayed here this weekend and had a wonderful time. The staff are so friendly and there attention to detail is fantastic.
Our daughter was celebrating her 6th birthday,When we got to our room there was a cake with Happy birthday on.
We booked this hotel on a deal with secret rooms so they did not have to go all to that trouble but they did.
We have stayed in alot of five star hotels in London and this one just ticked all the boxes.

We booked this hotel as we hadn't stayed in Chelsea before. The room we had was very spacious with a separate bedroom for my husband and I, and a sofa bed for my daughters. Unfortunately the pool area was being renovated, but to be truthful I don't think we had any spare time due to the sales being on and wanting to hit the shops!

Mini Break at the Wyndham Grand Chelsea Harbour

This hotel was fabulous! A beautifully decorated modern hotel in a quiet classy area of London. Superbly located near to a good quality Childs soft play - Gambado, but also walking distance to the designer boutiques on King Street, Chelsea. An over ground train station is conveniently located nearby which links travellers to the underground trains too. On a final note, I must add that I have rarely stayed at a hotel with such exceptional staff!!!! All - without exception, were friendly and helpful throughout my stay - I will definately return to this hotel!

Service was excellent, room service was also good as was the breakfast.

Expensive, but worth it!

We treated ourselves to a stay at the Wyndham, as the cheaper alternatives nearby were fully booked. I'm so pleased we did! London hotels are generally a huge let down - over-priced, unfriendly and tiny rooms for treble the price of lots of hotels in other great UK cities. However the Wyndham is one of the best we've stayed in - friendly staff, great location and lovely rooms. Yes it was just over £200 per night for this all suite hotel, but we had such an enjoyable and relaxing time that we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
