Very comfortable stay

Considering the price of the room (£55 for a twin room, for one night), I thought this hotel was very good value for money. Unfortunately we were not able to partake of the free breakfast, but all staff were courteous and polite, and very helpful.
The room was very clean and tidy, as was the hotel in general, and we essentially had a fully functioning apartment, with a very good bathroom and kitchenette. The location was perfect for our needs, and the place seemed very secure and comfortable.
I would completely recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying there. Very easy access to the Piccadilly line tube, which gets you in to central London in about 10-15 minutes.

Great value, lovely staff

We got in around midnight and were greeted warmly by very professional staff. The room was clean and large with a fridge and a counter and sink - only one of the taps worked but that was all we needed! There were tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom was clean with a bath and shower which we didn't have time to test but seemed to work fine, and there were plenty of clean towels. The hotel was quiet and we weren't disturbed by the traffic or noise outside. It's in a great location, one minute from Manor House tube station but there is no sign for the hotel so just look out for number 6 and go straight in, we were left wandering around for a while! There is a corner shop v nearby which is also useful. The breakfast was very basic, cereal and toast and tea and juice but at the price this was no problem!

We knew it would be hard to find, it looks like a massive house with a big black gate infront. Two car parking spaces that you would only get the cars out if the other stayer was there so would recommend arriving at earilest check in time. Very quiet didn't like the idea of leaving our room key if we left the hotel so we locked all our belongings up. Didn't try the food but looked very basic. Was clean thou the taps and handles could do with a good scrub. Hot water was boiling hot so shower was hard to use. Next to manor house tube station went to ally pally for the darts and was a short train and tube ride away. As we left the cleaner just took our key and said bye wasn't as formal as expected. All in all a good place to stay but wouldn't pay 80 pounds for it again.

Below average b and b with no signage so walked past it three times, had to call and ask for receptionist to come outside and wave. That guy was friendly and pleasant. mix up with accommodation. shower leaked in three places. breakfast was from 8am, we'd left by then.

Ok hotel for a reasonable price

Book in was ok, the days expected arrivals were spread out over a table and gave the impression of being a little disorganized (I had to point out which reservation was ours) therefore taking a little longer than expected.
Our room was airy and clean, fridge and microwave were both clean, and bathroom was clean if in need of a little tlc.
Breakfast was only cereals and toast, but we were aware of this before booking. Food was simple with little choice, 2 cereals, brown or white sliced bread, jam, ham and cheese.
Our door to our room was located in the reception area which we thought would be very noisy in the night. This was not the case, the night staff were very quiet, and as it turned out was probably better for us as we came back late on a couple of occasions and didnt disturb other residents.
Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels.
Got exactly what we wanted, a basic room with simple kitchen facilities at a reasonable price. Would certainly use again.

Convenient for the tube

Manor House tube is literally 2 minues from the door to the steps to the trains. The room was tidy but the en-suit kitchen, which had no door also had no curtains.

Brazil v Scotland .

We were 4 men looking for accomadation for the football. Unfortunetly due to train delays we didn't arrive untill 3 in the morning but were happily greeted by the owner and soon tucked up in bed. Our family room was pretty basic but all we really needed for an overnight stay. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom and the toilet didn't flush very well. Breakfat was fine (cerial, toast, jams, cheese & ham . Tea ,cofee, fruit juice.) all we needed to set us up for the day. Hosts were friendly and helpfull. If you are looking for a no frills overnight stay you will be happy with this hotel. Not the easyest place to find but its near the corner at Manor House undrground station ,opposit the church.

Too hard to find

This was a nightmare to find it took us over an hour to try and find the place, we would never stay here again , the rooms are about 100 degrees plus and we was passing out with the heat, the bathroom was shabby with tiles missing off the walls, the food was disgusting what there was of it, we would never stay again in a million years, when we explained the rooms problems they smiled and practicly ignored us, its not 5 minutes from finsbury park as stated it took us an hour to find the place, disgusted with stay and want a refund really, they give you a kitchenette, no cutlery, no plates, nothing, hated every minute of it. road noise all night it was unbearable.

Exactly what we were looking for.

This converted house looks deceptively small from the outside but was actually pretty big. We went for the world darts final at Alexandra Palace and it was ideal for us. It's only 70m away from the Manor House tube station so it was easy to get to Alexandra Palace and everywhere else. The lady in charge was quiet but very courteous and showed the three of us to a large room with a double bed and two singles, all very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was big and clean and the kitchenette was very handy to make us a meal when we got back that night. We never went down for breakfast hence we can't give our opinion on the food. Excellent value for money, would definitely stay there if I went to Alexandra palace again.

A nice hotel in a great location. Clean rooms and friendly staff.
Off-street secure parking was brilliant and invaluable for any stay in London. I would definitely stay here again. the only drawback was the quality of the breakfast and selection. However, nice to have breakfast at all!

Not what i was expecting at all.

Firstly, the description of the Hotel on the internet is nothing like the house that has been converted into self contained appartments. The signage is so bad (small white writing on a black gate) that i walked past 3 times and when i asked if anyone had heard of the Hotel the answers i got were no - never heard of it. The problem is that the proposed kitchette which has a microwave kettle and single sink and three tea cups with no sauers and three teaspoons - no coffee mugs was just not funny. After looking at three different rooms the lady who rans the place offered me a room which had a double bed and a single bed with a view from the front which was the best of the lot and i was too tired to go and look for another hotel. Anyway, i had a rest and then went out as my aim was to visit the emirates stadium. On my way i thought i would buy a couple of things to eat that i could make in the kitchen etc a sandwich, cup of noodle or a cup of soup. What a shock when i got back with my goodies to find that there was no cultery, plates, glasses etc i just could not believe it. There is no point advertising a kitchette with non of the necessary tools!.... i was very disappointed. I did not eat breakfast because upon arrival i found food that was left out and not covered and the fridge was standing wide open, so again a lost money on my breakfast. The entrance hall was also full of towels and black bags which is not a good first impression. Very noise street as there is a church over the road that carries on until earlier hours of the morning so sleeping was very difficult. I do believe that someone needs to visit all these hotels that are advertised and re-evalute there status and up date the pictures on the website. As a person visiting from abroad for the first time i was very disappointed. The lady that works there really tried her best and has a lot on her plate as she also does not understand English very well but she still had a smile on her face. Thank you to her. But the owner really needs to get his act together.

Good budget hotel

The room was pleasantly surprising, given the exterior of the hotel. Very hard to find - despite being opposite Manor House tube station there was nothing to identify the hotel (signboard etc) so I only found it by accident. Reception area very basic but pleasant and helpful staff. I didn't get a receipt because the machine was broken(?).
Otherwise I enjoyed a comfortable night.
Many thanks

It was OK

Hotel was not signed, it had no name plate or sign to say it was EVEN a hotel! We were lucky to find it!
We were unable to access the buildig via the intercom system & ended up knocking on the door to gain access.
The room was nicely decorated but it appeared unfinished. The bathroom tiles had been grouted but not cleaned down.
The room had a kitchenette but had no crockery or cutlery except for 3 cups & a couple of spoons.
We were also UNABLE to park due another guest leaving their car in the entrance & the staff had not checked access ti the car park. We had to park at another hotel 10min walk away & walk back.
If this hotel gets finished off & parking is sorted then i think this would be a good place to stay, BUT it needs to be finished 1st.
