Das Einzelzimmer im Keller ist einfach nicht empfehlenswert !<br />Sehr schlechtes Bett und zu kurz !<br />Man fhlt sich vernachlssigt im Keller abgeschoben.<br />Das Personal ist sehr gastfreundlich.<br />Breakfast entspricht einer sehr guten Qualitt.<br />

Nice little hotel although lots of stairs so...
Nice little hotel, although lots of stairs so not suitable for those with mobility problems. Comfortable and clean, reasonable breakfast. Very friendly staff. 20 minutes walk from Victoria Station and abotu half an hour to Westminster area, so a bit far out for where I needed to go. If I needed to be in the surrounding area then I would stay here again.

Staff at the Windermere can't do enough for you and give the impression of a happy, professional team. I was there on business and found the over excited tourists (to see the Marathon) rather noisy at night waking me up, but this was dealt with swiftly. Not suited to those with mobility problems as there are lots of steep stairs, a bit of a challenge for me with my luggage. But the rooms are immaculate and the breakfast very good. 20 minutes' walk from St James Park tube.

I stay here often and the staff are...
I stay here often and the staff are most friendly and helpful. Stairs could be a problem for the less than agile as the place is a rabit warren! But overall very convenient for Victoria, and feels safe for the lone female traveller.

The staff were very attentive but they sometimes struggled with the language.<br />the room was clean but the bath was only suitable for a child due to the size.<br />the iron we used, or tried to use was badly damaged and looked dangerous. It was suggested to the chambermaid this was replaced but i am not sure she understood.<br />

Good location in terms of access to the underground. Small and friendly hotel, with helpful staff that were very accomodating to our family needs. Ideal for a short city leisure break. Excellent food.

Hotel was easy to find and convenient for coach/railway and underground stations. Room was clean and fairly spacious. Breakfast was very good and service throughout the hotel was friendly, helpful and efficient.

We stayed in December We had a Superior...
We stayed in December 08. We had a Superior room which was clean and spacious. The breakfast and the service of it were very good and the service at breakfast also. The only unsatisfactory element was that the breakfast room was too small to accomodate all guests and people were pushing past a lot. Overall a good place to stay in a good location. I would stay agin.

In an area full of hotels offfering similar priced rooms it can be hit and miss to the level of comfort and servive you will receive. This hotel is very clean and comfortable, the rooms are excellent with luxorious feeling bathrooms. The breakfast is cooked to order and very good. The staff are all extremely helpful.

my wife and i stayed at the windermere...
my wife and i stayed at the windermere hotel in victoria and can honestly say we had 5 nights of excellent accommadation the room was large the bath room was spotless and the beds were great
the staff was very helpful and friendly and went out of there way to make us feel at home we can recomend the windermere hotel , victoria as a hotel that has a very high standard
and the italian guy at reception [mr per-fect ] was fantastic
well done everybody

we stayed in a "family" room, but obviously this room is not enough for 4 people, we even could not open our suitcases as there was not room even for us

Was very pleased with the hotel a stone...
Was very pleased with the hotel, a stone throw from Victoria station, thus allowing good acces to tube. But also quite walkable distance to many of the main sites / shopping.<br />Had meal at the hotel, and was very impressed, good traditional food but with a twist and quality.<br />Overall very enjoyable stay.

Hotel was within walking distance of Victoria tube station. It was within walking distance of Chelsea Flower Show which was the reason for our visit. <br />Our room was lovely.

Friendly owner-led hotel with excellent reception personnel, now my hotel of choice for business trips. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. Single rooms small but ingeniously designed. Very handy for Victoria coach and rail, plenty of shops nearby, brisk walking distance from Westminster area for those of us on Government business. Not cheap but good value.

Booked in on April th on leisure Single...
Booked in on April 19th on leisure. Single room was extremely clean and well decorated. Shame that the restaurant was closed on Saturday evening, I had to go to the pub around the corner for something to eat. However, the cooked breakfast next morning was very tasty. Overall, excellent value and would definitely stay again.

fantastic hotel for what we paid to stay in central london for new years eve. we booked two family rooms & one of the rooms was tastefully decorated the other was a bit plain!! But staff & location was perfect would definatly stay again.

Our overnight stay started with a reasonable 16 taxi fare from Kings Cross.On arrival at 9.00pm we were met by Phil from reception who immediatley made us feel as ease after a long trip with a young family.We were shown to our room,washed in the beautifully clean bathroom and went down to the hotel restaurant.The chef couldn't have been more helpful and friendly towards my two young son's in helping them choose their meal.The fish fingers he produced for them certainly were not out of a box.My steak was perfect.Our room was clean and the beds very comfortable.Breakfast was delicious and we were not rushed at anytime.<br />A lovely break at this nicely situated hotel,once again thanks to the chef and Phil.

Good idea to have dinner at least once whilst staying. I had the rack of lamb. It was freshly cooked, none of this microwave nonsense & was delicious. Breakfast was good too & also freshly cooked.

Very simple to find from Victoria Station, which was only about a 10-15 minute walk. The hotel was nicely decorated, and clean. Only had the breakfast which was very nice, and overall I had a very pleasant stay, and would return again to this hotel, when it is a convenient location for my work.<br />

We found this hotel to be very family...
We found this hotel to be very family friendly and proved to be an ideal location for vsiting London. It was a quiet location with no street noise and the children enjoyed having their own interconnecting room, it gave us a chance to relax. The rooms and en-suites were very clean and well maintained.

Rooms pokey, no toilet brush, hot and cold water taps were mixed up and we got burnt. <br />Rooms old fashioned, TV with 3 channels which were all blurred.<br />4 star - I think not.<br />No Lift, stairs something like the house that jack built.<br />Woman very nice, but man rude!!!<br />Take it off your list!!!

We stayed for 3 nights in mid June, 2005
Room: nice and clean room with reasonable size (superior double); clean and large bathroom; suprising not too hot when you turn the fan on
Dining: superb food; recommend the egg benedict in the morning
Activity: free access to internet!!! Wow!!!
Staff: very nice and accomodating staff
Location: central location, minute walk to various stations; very quiet place --pros: you'll have a good sleep though you are on the ground floor, cons: must take a cab when you go back to the hotel at night time

Very friendly staff who are always accommodating. I have stayed here a half-dozen times. Some of the rooms are more comfortable than others. But the bases are always covered, the place is immaculately maintained.

Very clean and comfortable, however room was in lower ground floor which was very hot and stuffy. Also a slightly musty smell although there did not appear to be damp anywhere. For £75 inc. breakfast good value. Staff very friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful find This charming hotel is...
What a wonderful find! This charming hotel is an easy walk from Victoria station with great access to train, coach and tube stations. Warm and helpful service, lovely rooms and one of the best restuarants in the area (I highly recommend the lamb). Great value for the money.

We stayed in hotel in October 2002 for four nights.
The room cost GBP 89 per night for a standard double room (special offer).
It was very small room in the basement, forget about daylight, with a very tiny bathroom under stairs.
The bathroom had a permanent damp smell.
… And noise, we could not sleep all nights. We could hear all the street noise, extremely loud noise from upstairs room, noise of squeaking floors and stairs, slamming doors, noise from a men’s room next to ours.
OVERPRICE. It’s the worst hotel we’ve ever been.

I didnot think it was possible to stay...
I didnot think it was possible to stay in London, in Pimlico, with a family of two kids and two adults for £99 including breakfast. Well we just did !
The hotel is clean tidy and comfortable. We went to the London eye, to the theatre to see Fame and to the Tower of London and all were easily accessible. The bedrooms were large enough for all of us to sleep in comfort. The only neg was you can hear people moving around upstairs so take ear plugs!
The breakfast was excellent and the attention we recieved was first class. Thanks alot.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at the Windermere. The room was excellent, the bathroom extremely well appointed and all spotless. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed, the beakfast was also very good.We will definitely use the hotel again. We would also like to commend hotels-london.cvo.uk. Avery efficient service, no hassle, easily booked on the internet, we will use this service for all future visits to London
