Family room was rather small, but clean and good equiped, although the furniture would benefit from some upgrading. Good location for exporing the centre of London. I would recomend for short stay.

We stayed on the top floor, (4th) but with no lift the 86 stairs to our room was a bit of a hike, check first as this could be a problem. Our room had an en-suit which was a bit tatty and cold. There was a shared wc & bathroom out side our door on the corridor which was noisy when being used. The stay was ok but have stayed in better for the same price.
Summary
Needed a restful place for visits to several doctors/tests and this was a perfect location. Being a guesthouse, it was small, quiet, and in a residential area, with quick access to our Marylebone area. Good quality for price.
Summary
My wife, sons (7 and 9) and I stayed here for three nights just after Easter.
On arrival we discovered we had been upgraded from a double with twin beds to a suite with two rooms which made our stay much more enjoyable at no extra cost - hence the value for money rating. All the staff were friendly; the ladies on reception particularly helpful as to things to see and local bus information for example.
We only ate breakfasts at the hotel (which might actually be the only meal on offer), but the range of hots foods suitable for vegetarians (as we are) was rather limited.
Wigmore Court calls itself a hotel but it definitely is not. While the rooms are a good size for a family there are no hotel facilities. We were kept awake by people above us. It was not their fault but very creaky floor boards. When we mentioned to staff we were told that we should have banged on the ceiling. There were no staff available at night should any problems arise.
The only good thing about the guest house is the very central location.
I had a very enjoyable stay at the Wigmore Court Guest House and I have already
recommended it to my friends. Its greatest asset is of course its position to all
the shops and entertainment in London. While not a five star Hotel it is clean and
very reasonably priced for where it is, also the staff were very polite and helpful.
Do not feel wary about booking a stay here.
Mine was a last minute booking to avoid travelling in the snow. Receptionist was lovely and helpful. The single room was small, but comfortable. Bathroom had a fairly big bath and powerful shower overhead. 5-10 minute walk to Marble Arch tube (Central line) and about the same to Baker St (Metropolitan, Circle, Bakerloo, Hammersmith & City) So, a great location, cosy room, friendly staff. Shame breakfast begins at 8 - I should have thought most business travellers would have checked-out by then. Will stay again without hesitation.
Summary
My husband and I stayed here over night when we travelled to London to visit the theatre. The staff were very friendly. We were able to book in before the 2pm stated as someone had cancelled. This was a massive help to us as were able to drop our bags off and walk the 5 minutes to Oxford Street. The room was very comfortable with tea and coffee provided. The breakfast was ample with a choice of toast, cereal.yoghurt, cooked breakfast. The location was superb, just off Oxford Street by Marble Arch. We would definately book this hotel again it was great value for money in the centre of London!
Summary
Had an early start so was not able to get my breakfast I had paid for as breakfast did not start till 8.
Had everyhing else i needed.
Really nice choice of foods at breakfast with both cooked and continental on offer.
Small, but clean, low cost room. I had a room at the back of the hotel which was quiet; surprising given the busy locatiion. OK for a one or two night stay.
One big disadvantage however, no lift and I was on the 3rd floor.
The Wigmore is a nice hotel near Marble Arch and was just so convenient for me. The single room was comfortable and had a nice en-suite with a bathtub! Very unusual in London hotels. Breakfast was nice, had good variety of hot and cold items. Very comfortable and good value for money.
Summary
This was a very reasonable priced hotel in easy walking distance of Park Lane for a dinner function. The accommodation was small but clean and everything worked, what more can you ask for the price in this part of London.
Summary
Very friendly and helpful staff at this hotel.Excellent location, very well equipped room within easy walking distance of the main attractions.Perfect for a short break.
Summary
Initial room booked was on 4th floor, very narrow, steep stairs from 3rd floor, only to find that the doormer windows had been left open during recent heavy rain, thus room smelt badly of damp. Upon bringing this to staff's attention, the staff were happy to move us to the next available room, a large 'family' suite on the first floor at no extra cost, which was very clean and comfortable; it was good to see a suite for families rather than adults and children sharing a room.
Although in the centre of London and just off Oxford Street, there was no double glazing in the room, (understandable due to planning constraints) but there was no noticable noise from traffic or other rooms, and, more importantly, no drafts.
Due to our restrictive diet (Low Carb), we could only enjoy the 'Hot' breakfast option, which was wonderfull, thick sliced bacon, well cooked sausage and scrambled eggs with salmon, would have liked to have seen mushrooms as a side option (rather than beans/tomatoes) but we can't have everything!
Decoration wise, a good balance of traditional and comtempory styles, the 'original features' could do with being stripped of some layers of paint, but other than that, it worked well.
Overall the staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us, the hotel was clean and quiet, just what we needed after a loud rock concert!

Reception shuts at 10pm and breakfast starts at 8am.
My room was at the rear and on the top floor (4th).No noise from street so very quiet.Guest House not ideal if elderly or infirm, unless allocated ground floor rooms..No lift !!. Room was comfortable, however one socket on wall had become detached and could have been dangerous.Breakfast hours disappointing....8.00am/9.30am....I had an appointment at 8.30am and did not have time to have a proper breakfast...I would have expected the hours to be at least from 7.30am ..if not earlier,so if you have an early appointment give this one a miss.Generally the staff were friendly and accommodating, but would only use this Guest House again as a last resort if nothing else was available
Summary
We arrived here after an accommodation disaster elsewhere.
Wigmore Court staff were friendly. Our family room was spacious for central London and most importantly the room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was included in our deal and had a good choice of continental and English dishes. We would definitely stay here again.
Was just there for one night, small but adequate room with no view on top floor but was comfortable enough. Quiet night. Service was friendly and even provided me with toothpaste as I had forgotten mine :)
Summary
The staff were pleasant, the guest house was clean, breakfast was acceptable. The double room with its four-poster bed was dowdy. The curtains did not block out the light from the lamp-post outside. Sadly the four-poster curtains that might have done the job were only partial and therefore useless. My main concern however was the poor quality, near useless lock on the room door, which would make it easy for someone to enter the room, hence the warnings not to leave valuables anywhere. The use of double adapters to provide extra power for lamps and tv, with trailing wiring could also constitute a fire risk.
Summary
Bad points - 1. We had a room at the top, this meant the water pressure and temperature of the shower was low, was glad to get home and ave a hot shower 2. Bed had the previous occupants hairs in it. The general cleaniless of the room could have been better.
Good points - 1. Good self service breakfast with a choice of hot or cold options. The breakfast area is a little small so avoid breakfast between 07.30 and 08.30 if you like some space.
Conclusion - We were in London for 1 night only, to see the sights and nightclubs, Ok place to crash out if that is all you want.
Make the food A+++ by having freshly cooked eggs
Summary
Our stay at Wigmore Court was only for a single night and was sufficient for our needs. It's situated within a convenient location...only 5 min walk to Oxford Street and Hyde Park. The hotel itself is dated and our room was situated at the top floor, which involved climbing 6 flights of stairs. This could prove troublesome to elders or the disabled due to there being no lift or other means of assistance available. The room was ok... it was clean and basic with tea and coffee making facilities but I and my partner did have trouble getting to sleep due to the hard bed. Breakfast was pretty much standard, continental and traditional English available.
Summary
Very generously sized ground floor twin room with couch, recliner, fridge, wardobe, and plenty space. good size bathroom however shower pretty weak and no lock on bathroom door. also there was a tv there but no reception was available, not even on normal channels after i tried re-tuning/re-scanning. also there was no 'do not disturb' sign for the door so we got disturbed a couple of times but this was no big issue-just maybe not a pretty sight for the person on the other side of the door!! also we got to keep the hairdryer for the week which saved us going back and fore to ask for it. would definately stay here again, lovely place and our issues were all minor.
Summary
At first entering the hotel I found the receptionist pleasant and trying to be helpful. Unfortunately, she was not able to confirm that I could have a cooked breakfast at 7.30am. So no breakfast for me. On first glance the room was fine, not big but enough for me. However, the unpleasantness soon started. The toilet bowl had not been cleaned after the last guest. I know i should have contacted Reception immediately but I had been travelling for 11 hours and needed to get to bed, so I cleaned the toilet myself. That finished, the last thing to do was have a wash, especially after an unpleasant cleaning task. Lo and behold no hot water, so wash in cold water. Still no hot water for shower in the morning. I did report all of this to reception and thought I would have at least received an apology from the hotel but 7 days later no apology.
Summary
The room was clean and there was enough space to move about. There was hot water on the Sunday morning (always a bonus) but a slightly thicker pillow would have been nice - mine was about 1cm thick! The room was quite basic but adequate to sleep for a night - no major complaints once the chap next door turned off his music - thin walls!
There is no lift so I thanked the lord that i had packed lightly and although my thigh muscles were burning by the 4th floor I focused on how fit I was getting.... There was an outside door to the shared roof next to my room and I did wonder about security, but all was well, although there were no locks on my windows, just catches. I took my ipad etc with me just in case when I went out to eat (Black and Blue restaurant, not cheap but great food and happy to let me sit for a couple of hours and eat/read at a leisurely pace - perfect).
Breakfast smelt ok but i had no time to eat. As i checked out a pipe had burst in the room above reception and the receptionist passed me my forms through a curtain of water.....
Room was comfortable enough, but unfortunately it was at the top of many flights of stairs, which was quite exhausting after a long day.
Summary
Very central location a short walk from Oxford Street. Great value for money. Large charming room if you don't mind that the floor is not exactly straight. Receptionists are very helpful and kind.
Summary
Great value hotel, comfortable
Summary
Nice big rooms, but no air condition. Very central.
Summary
Staff welcoming and helpful. Room a little small, bathroom reasonable size, shower very good. Breakfasts were excellent . Availability of laundry facilities a bonus. Very handy location.
Room was small, but clean, could hear everything in the room, walls very thin and the fire alarm went off 3 times around 6 o clock,it is in a good location and the staff are very nice
Summary
At £85 a night, this is cheap for a London bed in this location. The place was full, no vacancies.I had a room at the front of the hotel, and couldn't change. Being at the front of the hotel it was noisy. The walls are thin, so when the cars arn't keeping you awake the next rooms snoring is. The bed/ matress wasn't good; reminded me of a ski slope . And the ensuit shower room is very very small. Hey the Savoy would cost eight times as much, but other London hotels can be found for another £50, and for me that would be better value . Cheap is a long way from value for money.
Summary
The staff tried very hard to solve the problem (she really was a gem) but I had to insist on changing rooms as the 4th floor became a death trap with a deadlocked fire escape. Who was put in my room?
I checked it. Most people would not.
It is a great shame as the hotel has lovely food and the rooms are pleasant..
The owners offered to investigate the matter tomorrow! I was staying one night. We could have all been dead by then!
Good standard. Only small issue for me was I left credit card details to confirm as required but wanted to pay cash. however they had already taken the credit card payment before I had even arrived. Nice and clean, good breakfast, window banged a bit. I would go again.
Summary
It was pleasing on arrival to be allocated a double rooom instead of the single room I booked. Shame it was on the 4th floor. I do wish hotels would stop trying to make scrambled egg at breakfast. There is nothing worse than solid, leathery scrambled egg. They should try offering poached or fried eggs. Don't like tinned tomatoes so cooked breakfast was very dry. Great bacon though and attentive staff. Not such a good breakfast of you want continental. It wouldn't take much to offer a selection of cooked meats and cheese. Very convenient location and ok for a short stopover.
Summary
This hotel was very conveniently located for me as it is just a few blocks from Oxford Street near the Marble Arch Underground Station. Be aware that the name of the street changes from Gloucester to Portman between the hotel and Oxford. This is a London trick to cause confusion for visitors trying to find the hotel when leaving Marble Arch Underground and finally realizing that Portman becomes Gloucester as you head away from Oxford. Would be nice if the hotel information mentioned this bit, but that may exceed the maximum words in the advertisement. The locals I queried did not seem to know about Gloucester Street - only Portman. Obviously, they are part of the London conspiracy, too. The hotel is quaint, though if you are on the 3rd or 4th floors, the wooden stairs and floors are very creaky and noisy - especially when dragging your luggage behind you (no lift). Actually, it's kind of fun trying to find a path through your room with the fewest squeaking boards - or the most. You can hear neighbors playing the same game-or maybe other games. Room was very clean though very dated and old-looking (not antique, just tired). Supposedly, William Pitt stayed here. I think he is still in a closet somewhere. If you want a hair dryer or ironing board, you have to ask for one. I guess most people use hair gel and wrinkle-free clothes these days - or don't care. Breakfast was good, but I am easy to please. Eggs, sausage, cereals, toast, fruit, yogurt, and juices - not necessarily in that order, but you have to clean your plate or the help will speak to you in an undiscernable language. Overall value for London was good. I saved my customer some money, was able to walk to work, and felt like I was staying at Grandmother's house.
Summary
I think it fits in the budget, it's closer to the oxford street and the tube stations. Breakfast is okay. Problem with the shower pressure, it's too low. Can't stay in the hotel during the day, as work is going on that time and hear all kinds of noises. It needs to have a lift, as climbing up and down 4 stairs was a bit too much more than once.
