Small rooms but we weren't bothered as we only used the room for sleeping in - we were there to explore the City. Staff friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast fine. Location excellent - paddington statuion is a 2 minute walk away. Would stay there again.

Room is in need of refurbishment, Bathroom nice, but shower function was really poor only "dripping" water from the tap. Room was located on the top floor so that maybe explained the poor water pressure.

Value for money? Maybe, but get ready to hear some noise. Both from the traffic and rooms nearby. Small rooms, small bathroom but good priced
The hotel quite small & compact, clean. It think it worth money with such amount I paid. The only think is that breakfast just very simple, some breads, scamble eggs & cornflakes, fruits juices and coffee or tea.
The hotel also located in very stategic place, Its took me about 3 minutes walk to Paddington train & tube station, as well as 2 minutes walk sight seeing bus stop.

Had an urgent appointment in North London on 26th March 2009, so booked the hotel very last minute. Excellent location near to Paddington mainline and tube stations which was what I needed. Had not seen photos of room before booking but Reception, Lounge and external areas looked excellent. As I prefer to sleep in a double bed rather than a single I opted for a double room at extra cost also assuming it would be better furnished than most single rooms...How wrong I was ! On arrival the staff were very obliging, efficient and well dressed. The Reception was grand...all marble and gold and a magnificent chandelier. The elevator and corridors were clean and well presented....however the same could not be said of the room. The door was marked and not easy to shut: the carpet was awful and hadnt been hoovered; there was a double and single bed so very cramped, the delin was of poor quality though clean; the wardrobe was a very old MFI flat pack and therefore not that strong; there was no clock or radio; no remote for the small tv which was on a wall bracket and located high up on the wall...I am 5'8" and could only just reach the buttons; the guest info was on photocopied paper; there were no drinking glasses only thin plastic cups; the en-suite was tiny, with a wall mounted half sink, a clean toilet, and a shower that I couldnt turn or bend in easily, there was only small soap tablets and no shampoo etc. but there were plenty of clean towels. I had a room facing inwards and therefore no view, which didnt bother me except it was hot and stuffy. I didnt have a great nights sleep but hoped breakfast would make up for the room. The waiting staff were curteous and efficient but the food was poor...watered down fruit juices....chewy toast.....very watery scrambled eggs and cold baked beans....coffee was weak also! So all in all not that great. As for recommending the Hotel......all I would say is never book without seeing photos of the rooms as I was greatly disappointed.

I have stayed at the Westpoint more than 8 times, and while it is basic, it is very good for the price and well located. Always recommend it to friends.

If you are looking for an basic overnight stay in London then this hotel hits the spot on budget etc. Couldn't fault the cleanliness at all and its central position makes it ideal for tourists.

Hotel was undergoing refurbishment when I arrived; this didn't affect my room though, which was tiny and smelt odd (like Milk that'd been left out in the sun) - Breakfast looked so awful I passed it up and went elsewhere. There are far better hotels available around town for 5 more per night. I won't be going back.

This could be a nice hotel. Instead the rooms are much in need of a refurbishment. Gloss work looks like it has not been done for 20 years, likewise the carpets! There are much nicer rooms at similar price in the area. Also to note is that the Westpoint Hotel also goes under the name of the Abbey Court Hotel. It is the same place!

The hotel was easy to find and for inner London accessible from the motorway. On site parking was a bonus. No restaurant or bar but several choices for bothg iwthin a minutes walk. Staff helpful. My business meeting was at Paddington station so at 2 mins walk away was very handy. Hotel let me leave car for the morning of my meeting with no extra charge. Single room was very small, tired and ancient TV with no remote. Bathroom was cramped. I would use it again only for the conveniance from the motorway system, the parking and it's close proximity to meetings at Paddington.

Another budget hotel (or guest house maybe?) which needs their rooms refurbished (very scary ancient carpet!). The reception area looks very smart but the rooms and corridors above not so good. It looks like refurb work is underway, so may by one for the future. In it's current state I'd have to be desperate to stay again.

Fine hotel as such, but sadly we had a lot of problems with flushing the toilet it worked okay sometimes but not other times, also we booked a family room which we thought would be quite large but was much to small for our needs and very cramped for us as a family of three. Finally there was not a lot of draw space to unpack your suitcases so most of our clothes had to be left in their cases. Sadly we would not use this hotel again
