Nice Location and very friendly staff. Would have been nice if breakfast was included, at £19.50 each was a bit pricey. A bit of fabric conditioner on the robes would have been nice as a bit hard when putting these on after a shower! Overall had a lovely time here and would book again.

Long queue to check out with not very friendly staff on desk but otherwise a nice and convenient if somewhat soulless hotel.

The doorman was very helpful both with check in and directions, along with the night staff who brought some extra tea bags for me straight away and seemed happy to help.We were allowed to check into the room early which was a bonus as we only went to leave our bags before we went sight seeing. The room was clean and tidy, and also looked very nice. I would reccomend choosing a room with air con as it was rather warm, even in March! The hotel is in a good location, just a minutes walk from the underground station and on the victoria line. It was also just a short walk to buckingham palace. The only thing that let their image down was one member of the reception staff was rather rude when we checked in and muttered 'oh good' when we checked out at 13.55, which i (obviously wrongly) thought we were allowed to check out anytime before 14.00.All in all the time spent at the hotel was good and i will be returning there on my next visit to london.

The last time I stayed here the noise from the air con kept me awake all night (this is in the switched off position). I explained this when I rebooked and they assurred me of a quiet room. This happened agian and was given three different answers to the problem. Was moved at 9.45pm to another room but still the air con was noisy - air con switched off. Great power shower and lovely clean and up to date room but found it hard to get to sleep. Would stay again if there was not this one vey annoying problem.

Well appointed and comfortable hotel. Moderately priced for what is a very expensive part of town. Stylish decor, pleasant and professional staff. A proper hotel that you wouldn't be embarrassed to take your mother to! Only down side is that the rooms are quite cramped.

Very disappointing accommodation. The only bar was closed for a private function and lift carpets were absolutely filthly. Room was ok but nothing special. Location good but would not stay here again.

Customer service was not commensurate with a 4* London Hotel, particularly not given the Mayfair location. Room was spacious and well equipped but "tired".

Excellent location (just behind Green Park tube and in front of Shepherd Market), excellent service and superb, spacious room - and having stayed in many on business, I can honestly say that few have even come close. Spectacular value on the Laterooms deal. Only had breakfast but that was a groaning buffet of quality and variety, served up to 11:30am (as opposed to the usual, unleisurely 9 or 10). All in all, for what we wanted and expected, perfect.

This is a nice hotel in a great location. For me, it's the little things that make this kind of hotel great. We booked an executive room and we were lucky to get a suite. The fittings were nice but it was sparse and a little dated. No tea and coffee making facilities let it down. The TV picture was fuzzy on both sets and the internet didn't work. The bar was short staffed so wouldn't serve cocktails. OK, small things but for a 4* in Mayfair with the prices (even at LateRooms rates), you'd expect all these things.

This hotel is one of the nicest I have stayed in in central London. Slightly away from the crowds of the West End but within a very easy and pleasant ten minute walk of Oxford and Regent St for shopping, Soho and Picadilly for Saturday night. Sunday morning spent wondering around the amazing shops and boutiques of Berkely Square. I cannot recommend the location enough. On a lovely quiet street, the hotel staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I rang ahead to check it was non smoking and ask about parking and the man was very helpful indeed. He also upgraded us when he heard it was our anniversary - I was very touched by his friendliness. Naturally we were delighted with our room on the six floor but I did check out the executive rooms for our (definite) return and they were large and confortable enough, particularly by London standards. No noise issues in the room but boiler outside in the central quad was on all night long - bring ear plugs. Room clean and beds very comfortable with good pillows. Nice extra touches.Didn't eat at the hotel - instead went for breakfast across the road in a little square. Several excellent cafes to choose from and full breakfast for a fiver. No hassle with checking in or out. Having stayed in so many grim central London hotels it is a relief to find one that doesn't cost the earth (well if you book it through laterooms or similar) and does what it says on the tin. Bowled over and will be back

I booked this hotel for my girlfriends birthday. I was worried we would be given not such a nice room frpm paying less, but I was very wrong! The en-suite was really nice as was the bedroom, good size, really clean and modern throughout.

Check-in flawless. Immediate attention, booking to hand. In my room within 5 minutes.Great room - very, very large, bright and modern. The hotel is just far enough off the main drag to be quiet(ish), but within 10 minutes walk of Picadilly Circus.I couldn't get through to Housekeeping at any time during my stay - always engaged, but the concierge was happy enough to convey messages and requests were carried out immediately.I did have a problem with the whirlpool bath...but again, sorted immediately. They actually seem to care - which is unusual in London!Check-out as quick and efficient as check-in. Perfect for the business traveler who just wants to get out. Great stay.

I used laterooms.co.uk to book a room at the Washington Hotel Mayfair. My reservation was for the 24/10/09 at a discounted rate. Mid afternoon the day priot to my arrival, I receive a telephone call from the hotel stating that my room has been double booked and that I can have a room at an alternative hotel. Due to the location of the alternative hotel not suiting me, I requested a refund, which I am still waiting for. I am guessing that the hotel managed to sell the room that I had already paid for at a higher rate thus stitching me up. I wont be using this service again.
