We arrived and the tired looking woman at reception did not acknowledge that we were there in front of her. We waited until she finished her 15 minute phone conversation until she finally lifted her head. The reception area was cluttered with suitcases and piled up furniture - very messy. She checked us in and told us that we could go downstairs to our room. We went downstairs and there was laundry all over the floor. There was a woman cleaning who exclaimed at us "No... room not ready!" shaking her head at us. We went upstairs and the woman at reception apologised to us and said we'd have to wait until the room was ready - she couldn't tell us how long it would take. After 30 - 40 minutes we went downstairs and at least the laundry was removed from the ground. We were given a room that could accomodate 5 or 6 people on a busy Friday night when there were only two of us. The room was decent besides the brown and drab coloured bedding/carpets. If we didn't have earplugs we would have had an uncomortably noisy night due to the traffic right outside our window, but all in all we had a good nights sleep.

The location is good, being close to both Pimlico underground and Victoria. Staff are friendly, rooms are nice and cosy. The hotel was being refurbished when we were there, room 36 was newly refurbished which was done to a good standard.

Whatever you do if you end up booking...
Whatever you do, if you end up booking this hotel, make sure that you do not end up in room 4a. this room is in the basement, overlooking a yard filled with 20 broken TVs, 15-20 dirty stained mattresses, the main vent for the hotel ( incredibly noisy all the time- but worst of all it is slap bang next to the only kitchen. We didnt get in until 5am and really needed 5 hrs of sleep before a long drive home. We were awakened at 6.30 am to clatter, bang, wallop, ping,crash- not to mention loud conversations in all languages.this lasted until 10am and despite complaining at 7am, were not offered an alternative room until 830 am, on the proviso we packed all of our stuff and went 4 flights up stairs, by which time it would be checking out time !!awful, awful, awful !!!also beware as the money was debited from my account 5 days prior to arrivinggood point - the location- 5 mins from victoria and free on street parking outside on Sunday, and excellent vietnamese restaurant on the next street

The room the light bulb in the lamp...
The room the light bulb in the lamp did not work and the bulb was dirty as was the bedspread, it had a large stain on it but the sheets were clean as were the towels. The toilet did not flush properly as the flush was broken, and there was a hole where the cistern was supposed fit. The bathroom was tiny and if you were on the fat side you would not fit in it. The toilet in the corridor was next to room 6 and water ran for ages, making the room noisy. There were new beds stacked in the hall way making it not very welcoming, and the window did not shut properly in the room and there was old furniture piled up in the garden. The good thing about it was that the staff were friendly, helpful and pleasant, and it was near the tube station. Until it is refurbished, I would not recommend this hotel.

Anges who is the lady who greets you is just lovely. She is really accomodating and friendly. The rooms are clean and well kept. Only issue I had was another lady (who may be the owner)behind the counter who was really rude and unpleasant. However, it didnt put me off purely because the rest of the staff were so great. It is close to work for me, so that works. Plenty of fabulous restaurants close by, a tescos and a sainsburys.

Stayed in a recently refurbished room. Although the main light didn't work (reception offered me a new room and provided me with a table lamp when I explained I was happy to stay put) and the electronic key didn't open the door, the room was comfortable, neutral redecoration, excellent bathroom and quiet (back of hotel). For a value hotel, I thought it was very good. Had to leave early, so can't comment on breakfast.

Hotel was a joke. Room was a good size but wallpaper was coming off the wall because of the damp. Bathroom was dirty and grimmy. There were 2 holes in the bath. The security light was facing our window and had a 600watt bulb in so was like daylight until 11.45pm when it finally went off! Breakfast was very basic and toaster had to have a knife rammed in to make it work. Would not stay again or recommend!

The place is reasonably friendly, the location of your room problematical, the keys are absolute rubbish! One fell apart when I removed it from the third room I was unable to access, then the staff had the cheek to charge me for it. The rooms were small and clean. The tea/coffee provided was foul - powdered whitener I was frightened to use. The minute corner shower tray in the tiny cubicle nearly broke my ankle going in, towels thin and grey, no toilet roll holder, thin bedding - but there was something in the wardrobe. No safe and the desk would not look after my laptop - something about changing shifts!Breakfast was OK-ish, however there was a very limited supply of croissant - about one between four at a rough estimate!Would I stay there again? Probably yes because better the devil you know than some of the even worse horrors in the area!

I should know better than to try to...
I should know better than to try to go for hotels under 100 British pounds, or Euros or US Dollars. But this time I thought it would be OK with GBP 68 per night accommodations at this place. Nope. I learned my lesson the hard way. After waking up two mornings in a row with what I thought were mosquito bites, I told the receptionist lady who didn't seem very concerned or interested. On the thrid night I was to spend at this horrible place, I was a bit suspicious. Mosquitos aren;t out at this time of year. So I took a cursory look at my bed and in 20 seconds saw s pot on the bedcovers -- whcih, when threatened with some toothpaste, began to crawl. It was the biggest bedbud I'd ever seen.Needless to say, I immediately packed, moved to another Hotel and laundered all my clothes. After initially denying that there were bugs, I have to say that the receptionist, in the end, seemed embarrassed. She and the owners shopuld all be ashamed.Avoid. Avoid at all costs. And remember: You get what you pay for.

This hotel is very conveniently located to Victoria station and the Westminster area. The room was basic, but had everything I needed for a one night stay. I had no complaints but on the other hand wasn't overly impressed with anything. All in all, it met my expectations and was good value for money.
