Summary
To be honest I wasn't expecting much from the hotel... I'd packed extra layers to sleep in at night in case it got cold, ear plugs in case it was noisy, and an eye mask in case it had thin curtains that let the light through. I needed none of these - the heating was always on and made the room toasty, the location was quiet and the windows thick enough to mask most street/traffic noises in the morning, and there were net blinds covered by thick long curtains.
The two males on Reception were very friendly, one kindly offered to carry my heavy roller-case up all the stairs for me (I don't think there's a lift, in case you have difficulties with stairs).
You have to leave your key at Reception when you go out, but I guess this is to save having to replace lost ones.
The room was just what I needed, the bed was a bit hard but that comes down to personal preference I think. The TV had channels 1-5, it was a small TV but I wasn't there to spend much time relaxing in my room.
There were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe for me - usually I find there are never enough! There's a safe in the wardrobe too but I didn't use this.
The bathroom was clean, and towels were provided - 2 large and 2 small with one to stand on when you get out of the shower. There was sufficient hot water - also a pleasant surprise as I'd heard stories of 'budget' hotels running out!
I called reception for the wi-fi code and logged on... it was fast and consistent, I was imagining it would be like dial-up!
I had breakfast on my second morning, just a regular continental where you can request tea/coffee and toast/croissant, with a small selection of cereals and fruit. It wasn't an outstanding selection but it did the job, and when my croissants (I got 2!) arrived they'd been heated nicely.
Honestly, I was really surprised and pleased with the standards of my stay. Good job!
I am gutted that I have to say two bad things about this hotel because overall I would recommend people to stay here. I'll start with the good hoping it will outweigh the bad.
The customer service is excellent, greeted with a nice welcome and given enough information about the surrounding area. Also at breakfast they were polite and quick with serving tea's and coffee's along with hot croissants. I also needed some documents printed and the reception was able to do this me at no charge and also was kind enough to ask about my stay and how i finding the hotel. Again great Service!! Lastly each night I was able to get a good 6-8 hours sleep due to it being quite on the 3rd floor.
Ok so here's the bad, on the fourth night I went to get into bed and pulled off the first set of covers, I then saw what appeared to be stain on the sheets, I took a picture of this and I will try to upload it. I changed the sheets over, trying to avoid the stain. This however didn't bother me too much as I've helped out in hospitals before, but I feel some people may find this totally unacceptable. The second bad point is that the hotel is very old, this then meant that the floorboards creaked on every step, I don't think there was a part to the room you couldn't stand on without it creaking.
Found hotel through late rooms. Needed to be near coach station which is about 10 minutes walk.
Also for restaurants in Pimlico
This hotel met these requirements. The bus stop just outside and tube five minutes walk. Just wish we had asked for room at the rear. Otherwise just what we wanted.

Summary
Not a pleasant experience at all. Lost room electricity at 6:00 am. Called reception 10 times, no body picked up the phone. Without electricity for hours and hours. Horrendous.
Summary
For £75 a night you're not going to expect the Ritz.
Room was big and kept clean. Shame the TV was a bit knackered, but wasn't their to watch TV.
Shower was nice and powerful.
Staff were really friendly.
Oh and free WiFi, although note it's using WEP encryption, so you'll want to make sure you're using https browsing for many sites.
So if you want a good place to stay in the heart of london (the hotel is a short walk from Victoria Station) this is a great option.
£85 per night, not great but not completely awful. Quieter than I thought it would be but room could do with a hoover and paint. Bathroom was cleaner. Very basic but as stated on the website. Wasn't able to have breakfast as they are very un-flexible with breakfast time.
Summary
Basic. No air conditioning. Shower so hot it was a safety hazard. I would have been scalded. The reduction was £100. If I had it at full price it would have been vastly overpriced. It was only worth the £85 I paid.
Summary
Could really do with new mattresses , you feel every spring. The pillow in my room was also the thickness of an envelope
