Comfortable Hotel with Original Features

Very well furnished, excellent reception, great dining room and bar, few minutes walk from Earls Court Tube. Highly recommend. Only issues were phone didn't work in our room, so couldn't call reception when they forgot milk for breakfast cereal and unusually light went out in bathroom when showering as it was motion activated! Apart from that, very comfortable stay and would return.

Funky bijoux

Pros: near Earl's Court tube, good eateries in walking distance (see SquareMeal.com), small town house style hotel, interesting furnishings, very friendly and efficient reception and other staff, complementary tea/coffee any time which arrives within a nano second of being ordered, very clean & comfy, so quiet (from external noise) you wouldn't think you are in London, luxurious curtains, bedding, soft furnishings, great garden room style area for breakie.
Cons: four poster bed not what I'd anticipated (not closely examined but made from sticks of 3x2?), rooms smaller than I expected for the price (but I am from Yorkshire!), miniscule shower, basin light mounted so high I couldn't reach to turn on/off, cold meats for breakfast seemed to be Spam and other such processed, woken at 7am Sunday morning by the washing machine in the next room, only provides breakfast (no other meals)
Summary: it's different, not a bog standard big hotel, lovely fabrics and quiet. I'd go again but would think carefully about the price.

A clean hotel with friendly staff

Location is great, very convenient to find food and the shops around the hotel. The staffs are very friendly. The suite we stayed has a unique style, gives a fresh feeling. The balcony facing the garden is very pleasant. . It is quite clean with the laminated floor, the downside of it is that when you walk on it in the night, it makes a loud cracking noise. The lounge and the corridor are too small though, not very suitable for children.

Best hotel I've used in London

What a great little hotel, rooms were lovely, attentive staff with nothing too much trouble.
If I was making a suggestion it would be to add a few more items to the continental breakfast, more salad etc to go with the meat and cheese, maybe boiled eggs. It's a minor niggle on what was a lovely stay. Recommend fully.

Great value & good service

The room price is good value although the rooms are very small, this includes breakfast, unlimited tea and coffee bought to the room 24/7 and no tray charges for room service - great value for any hotel never mind London. The staff were great which i wasn't expecting after having read some recent reviews and the location was good too.......worth paying the extra and ordering the cooked breakfast occasionally as it was superb. Really enjoyed the stay here, especially the 2 days in the Terrace room.

Judging at GBBF

Decided to treat myself to a local stay for GBBF as I needed an early start on 2nd Aug. Had booked a four poster room, but was upgraded to the Ottoman Suite (which is their best room apparently) although it's not a four-poster. Overall the room was great - pros were size, decor, view, aircon machine, large TV screen, radio, dvd player. Downsides were no slippers (robe provided), shower temp very unstable, no tea tray in room, no notes for hotel services.
The staff were all friendly and quite efficient (although some lack fluent English). I had ordered a cooked breakfast at extra cost, which was substantial, but it took 25 minutes to arrive, which meant I could not enjoy it as I had to then rush. The sausages were very sub-standard but other items ok. Continental breakfast available looked very good and fresh (self-serve), so I would recommend having that. Value for money therefore is good for the room & service.

A good short stay

I stayed for 3 nights. The hotel was clean and well presented. It has kerb appeal and the entrance gives a good feeling.
The bedding was of a very good standard and all the facilities you would expect.
I did not use the lounge or bar area except for breakfast. It was a good presentation with the staff being very attentive.
In short, i would have stayed again but the hotel did not have availability for 4 nights the following week.
As a self employed consultant, i am used to many styles and standards. This hotel gives a small hotel feel with a big hotel service standard. Good value for money.

Good Bolt Hole in attractive location near transport links

Nicely presented town house with extremely personable staff , very efficiently run . Well displayed and enjoyable continental breakfast while free hot beverage service to the room on demand at any time was very welcome and extremely speedy!. Room itself was a bit disappointing given how the accommodation is described. Although apparently upgraded to a 4 poster room this was very compact, in the basement and lacking natural light . It also felt rather damp and the sound of running water in nearby guttering could be heard. The room was too small to take a 4 poster (especially one painted black!) in that the posts for this intruded into the space and acted as a barrier leaving even less room to move around. The equally compact bathroom was very clean and good ammenities were supplied including nice robes but the loud extractor fan was intrusive. The need for artificial light in the bedroom even during daylight hours was a shame. Towels and sheets were rather thin and the wooden floor somewhat squeaky but the room was otherwise fairly comfortable and other ones looked far more inviting and more warmly lit than ours so maybe we were unlucky with our allocation that night.

The staff were friendly and looked after our bags before we checked in. When we checked in we were expected to pay before we had even seen our room. The room was spotlessly clean with unique furnishings but the bed was small even though it was a double and the room was compact to say the least (we had number 23). The shelf for the tv at the end of the bed was a bit dangerous if trying to reach the bathroom in the night. The en-suite bathroom was a good size with a toilet, bidet and shower over the bath, large mirrors and good lighting. It however, was not marble as advertised but part ceramic tiled and half painted. The tv and digi-box in our room did not work properly and there was no trouser press or ironing board in our room. Breakfast was average and a time slot had to be booked the previous night. Tea and coffee was free and on a room service basis, we ordered three times twice it was lovely and once it took a long time and arrived cold. On the whole I would use this hotel again with a good deal but I feel it is a little over-rated on its website.

London Break

Hotel nice and clean, excellent location, and relatively quiet bearing in mind Earls Court is just around the corner. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby if needed. Hotel itself small, but friendly. Biggest complaint I would have is on the first day we did not appear for breakfast first thing, and as a result had to wait for a table for about 15 minutes while other guests finished. I guess with space at a premium they are making the most of what they have. Bathroom was small, and aside from the broken door handle on the shower, was absolutely fine. Weird not to have tea and coffee in the room - but as it happens we didn't miss this at all.

Immaculate hotel with friendly staff but beware of what room you book!

I would advise anyone to stay here for a night or weekend, considering the ideal location and price, its very ideal. The only downside was the size of the room in the luxury double we book. We had about 3 inches of room surrounding the whole bedroom and the bathroom was small aswell. Also if you don't like the heat then i would advise you not to book here as wem had to have the window and fan on for our whole stay. Dont let me put you off though because the hotel itself is beautiful and so clean.

Beautiful Hotel BUT noisey....

This Hotel is gorgeous: convenient, spotless, good breakfast, beautiful decor. However we will NOT be staying because we were awoken several times in the night by very noisey, inconsiderate neighbours - slamming doors, loud voices, stomping around . Our night was ruined and we were exhausted the next day. Despite Reception being aware of this and my asking we were not offered extended time in our room on the Sunday.
I made a suggestion to the man on Reception that they 'remind' guests or put a notice on Reception that the hotel is small and to be aware of noise levels. Such a pity because on every other count (apart from caged birds....) the Hotel is lovely

Great value but opt for a double room

Nice boutique feel and very close to Earls Court Tube Station. Although travelling alone I opted for a double room and was glad I did as it was very small - comfortable enough though for 1. At £75 per room per night inc breakfast good value I would say, but wouln't pay normal rack rates.
Breakfast pretty much ok but they could do with stronger coffee!

I got caught in the bad weather in early December and had to leave early. I checked with reception if i could cancel the last 2 nights bookings 24 hours in advance and they said "no problem". When i went to leave, they said i could check-out but still had to pay for the full stay!! Go figure! What did they mean by "no problem" - that they wouldn't hold me there as a prisoner? Room rate (not cheap!) includes breakfast but that's coffee and a bun! Full breakfast an extra 10 quid. Never again!

A Welcome Respite

Having carefully researched multiple boutique style hotels in London, I decided to try the Twenty Nevern Square Hotel. I was not disappointed. The hotel was cozy and charming, with a lovely and bright dining area that also included a full bar. The staff was warm and accommodating. My wife and I arrived several hours early and were told that while our room was not quite ready, they would be happy to watch our luggage and offered us some tea or coffee in their lounge area. We decided to go for a walk around the local area to see what was about, and returned about an hour later. When we returned, we were informed that we had been given a free upgrade! We stayed in the Scherazade Suite and fully enjoyed it. The breakfast the next day was beautifully prepared and delicious. We would definitely come back and stay again at the Twenty Nevern!
