Awarded small luxury hotel London's hotel of the year 2002 by Les Routieres, this hotel has 19 beautifully fitted bedrooms, all rooms individually styled with wood, linen, cotton, silk, marble bathrooms and hand-painted wooden blinds. Hand crafted furniture, mainly commissioned from Indonesia, echoes both Asian and European influences. Choose from specially carved deluxe four-poster beds, Egyptian Sleigh beds, doubles, twin bedded rooms, or four-foot beds for sole use. Each room is unique - from the delicate skills of the Chinese Room, contrasting with the opulence of the Rococo Room, through to the understated grandeur of the Pasha Suite, with its balcony overlooking the garden square. Alternatively On the ground floor 'The Terrace Room' restaurant provides an intimate alfresco setting for dinner, while downstairs the rooms are delightfully secluded with their own courtyard. The colour tones were inspired by the original mosaic patterned steps leading into the hotel. They lead to an interior that features rich silks, luxury fabrics and object d'arts offset by Bath stone flooring. Earls Court Exhibition Centre just a short walk away and with the tube station even nearer, Knightsbridge, the West End and City are all easily accessed by public transport. There is street parking outside the hotel and garage parking a short distance away. The Victorian townhouse was originally built in the 1880's and was one of the first domestic Revival styles of architecture. Independently owned, this distinctive small hotel took 12 months to complete. Set in a conservation area, the restoration had to carefully follow strict architectural guidelines. Enjoy!

DELUXE TWIN ROOM EN-SUITE (includes continental breakfast) The downstairs twin, with large French windows, opens onto a secluded courtyard. The hot orange and blue shot silk of the bedcovers and curtains work to dramatic effect in this lower ground room. The two other twins, all with individually styled hand-carved headboards, are available in rust and gold or black and gold hues.

Four Poster A small private staircase leads down to a finely carved, canopied bed, hand painted in subtle tones of red, green and gold. Bed covers and curtains in soft subtle colour tones make this one of the most popular rooms in the hotel. The second four poster bedroom, located on the ground floor, is designed in hot purple shot silk, with antique gold and grey/aubergine velvet cushions. For more subtle tones, the four poster on the lower ground floor offers a tranquil setting with the soft colours of cream and putty silk, offset by black. A lovely room with good light and fine individual pieces.
