I had a wonderful stay at the Thistlle Marble Arch even though it was a brief one. Situated just steps away from the renowned Oxford Street , it was a brilliant hotel to stay at if you need to do either lots of shopping or last minute shopping before leaving London. Oh, we did not have the time to wonder around but Hyde Park is just around the corner from the hotel.
Staff were absolutely friendly and helpful. Like me, my daughter Melissa who stayed with me for the one evening before I flew home to Malaysia, was also impressed. We had our dinner at Marmor (not sure of the name) Restaurant and we had Pan Fried Fish Fillet with Crushed New Potatoes and shared a bowl of Cauliflower Cheese. We finished everything on our plates and could not stop praising how delicious the dish was! "Compliments to the chef" we said when the waiter appeared and expressed with delight, "Oh there's no need for me to ask how your meal was"!. It was heavenly.
We both agreed that if we ever were to return to the hotel, the main reason will be the gorgeous food - we extremely enjoyed the buffet breakfast the next morning - and the location!

Room very clean and confortable, a bit of wear especially in the bath - finally a mixer instead of H+C separate taps .
Staff very courteous and helpful everywhere as usual

The Hotel is in a wonderful location, however, our room was disappointingly small. However, that aside everything else including the breakfast was very good.

I arrived at the hotel and checked-in without any problems, I was staying at the hotel for business as myself and my colleague were attending an awards ceremony that night. I had a couple of hours spare so i relaxed in my room - which I must say was very nice and of a decent size! On arrival back to my hotel room in the early hours however, as soon as my head hit the pillow - a horrible digging noise started from outside, which felt and sounded like the whole hotel was vibrating and with me being on the ground floor it was even worse. I rang reception to ask what it was and they said they were unaware of any works being undertaken this evening but would send security to check it out and get back to me. 1 hour later I still hadn't heard back and the noise was still going on - I was very tired and annoyed at this point, so I rang back to which I got the same comments as before. I had finally dosed off after this phonecall at around 3am to which I was then awoken by them phoning me back at around 3.30am to tell me the noise would now stop!! Very bad and broken sleep.

Good location. Staff helpful. Pleasant, clean and spacious rooms.

The staff are very polite and friendly and we were given a free upgrade to a King size room. When we go back for our next trip - I will be staying here again!

Hotel was fine got a free upgrade no complaints.

Nice hotel, service very good, friendly and helpful. Breakfast in our room was worth the extra and the room was very clean.

What I particularly liked was thit this is a city centre hotel with dedicated smoking bedrooms where the windows open on safety devices. I wished more would follow suit.

From the outside this hotel looks like it could be a bit outdated but once inside was lovely, clean and modern.

For the price I paid you could not complain about the hotel. Ideal location and staff very friendly and helpful. But if you had paid full price you wouldn't have been so happy, room and bathroom both looking tired, in need of a lick of paint and some loving care. I know we were on Oxford Street and I understand the dirt that you get from the traffic, but come on those net curtains certainly could have done with a wash!

We ordered sandwiches at about 9 pm. I wanted plain mayonnaise rather than whiskey mayonnaise, my companion wanted the fish sandwich with chips. We were brough the sandwiches plus a prawn cocktail, without mayonnaise. This was taken away and my companion started but the chips were completely cold. We sent it back, then I was brought my sandwich which had no mayonnaise. Rather than waste any more time I used mayonnaise from the table and then the prawn cocktail reappeared! Terrible food and a waste of money.

Booked a standard double for 2 nights but were upgraded to an executive double on arrival which was a nice surprise.Very spacious and clean room but not very sound proof as we overlooked a noisy club which disturbed our sleep. We didn't eat breakfast there as we thought it was overpriced at £12 or even £16 if we left it to book on the actual day. Overall a very pleasant stay, would return again and if possible to have a room at the front of the hotel.

Good Value for location.

Very dissapointed in room allocation on arrival, Had to wait until 2pm for room and then when i saw the room it was old and shabby. Went to reception to complain and was offered an up grade to exceutive room for £30 per night agreed to pay it inclusive of breakfast was very pleased with this room but would not have been happy with quality per cost of origional room.

I have stayed several times at the Thistle Marble Arch - over the duration of these stays, the level of service and professionalism has always remained consistently of a high standard

Facts - two disabled travellers given noisy room, replaced with noisy room, replaced with noisy cold room with broken windows, replaced with room where heating had to be repaired and still never worked correctly and then room was so far from lift/ public rooms we only ventured out once. Spent four hours changing rooms so left exhausted - could not have faced any more upheaval. Executive supplement reimbursed. Bar too busy to access - private party. Ordered room service for breakfast as it was too far for us to walk again - breakfast arrived too cold to eat, jam packets already opened and used. Room service charge reimbursed and we were given a Kit Kat each!!! Shocking way to treat anyone but with walking difficulties/disabilities disgusting.

Very nice hotel in a great location, nice room, and great customer service. Only small issue was the breakfast was a little cold. Other than that - fantastic.

The room is big, clean, and quiet. I only stayed there 1 night, but it was a very nice hotel and would stay there again on my next trip to London. Thanks!

Perfect for shopping. One street away from Oxford Street. Tube station across the road. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean, although bedroom decor a little tired.

Couldn't get a better location for our stay! Rooms are dated but clean, bathrooms are an ok size, I got it for a good price so was good value, at full price there would be better alternatives. Nice restaurant.

This hotel is seriously good value for money. The location is perfect for Paddington and I can walk to the three different meeting locations I need in London. This is going to be my number one preferred hotel for business in London.
It is not 5 star luxury but my room gave me everything I needed and I am a fussy female used to 5 star hotels.

The hotel was excellent, our stay was very enjoyable and the food was very good. We had only one incident in the hotel in that our room had not been serviced when we returned to the hotel after a full day out on Wednesday18th January. During breakfast we had left the 'do not disturb sign' on but on leaving the hotel at 10.30am we changed this to 'please service the room' This had not been done when we returned later at 6.30pm. We did complain and a member of the housekeeping staff did arrive and gave the room a quick clean. However, we had to go and sit in the lounge and wait for her to finish before we could get ready for dinner, which then made us later than usual having our meal. I did feel some compensation should have been offered but none was given. Also they omitted to give us our early morning call on the first morning.

The location of this hotel is fantastic....almost right on Oxford Street and close to Marble Arch tube station. The hotel itself is very busy but, for the most part, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The lady at the downstairs reception on our arrival was very brusque, informing us that check-in wasn't till later in the afternoon, however on going upstairs we were able to check in. The room was very spacious (executive room) and clean. We were asked if we wanted a room with a view or a quiet room and chose a quiet room and, apart from the heating which was a bit noisy, it was quiet. We heard no noise from other guests despite the hotel being very busy. The bar is lovely and the service is very fast - complimentary snack with our drinks was a nice touch. I have tried other hotels in central London but always come back to this one.

Booked this hotel as an overnight stay after visiting the theater. Lovely central location and very easy to find (even better it's right opposite Primark!) Arrived before our scheduled check-in time to find room all ready for us. Reception staff were polite and helpful, offering us an upgrade with absolutely no pressure to accept. Our room was on the 5th floor overlooking Old Quebec Street (our only complaint of the stay was that sound coming from the club's in this street made the room rather noisy, continuing into the early hours of Sunday morning.)
We stayed in a standard, non-smoking double room, which was a lovely size and clean. Excellent shower in the en-suite bathroom. The bed was lovely and comfortable.
A nice touch was the safe that could be used free of charge. Expected long queues at breakfast, but we were seated immediately, and all staff were very helpful, and again polite. Self-service breakfast with plenty of choice for every palate.
We will definitely use this hotel again - glad to have found it.

Location of this hotel was perfect. It was a late booking for us so a bargain the room was spacious clean and we would certainly look to book this hotel again. We have already recommended it to our friends.

This is a great location as you can walk or get the underground to most locations within 20 mins

Offered free upgrade accepted. T.V. BBC 1 Awful reception, Hairdryer very poor. Woken by room service at 9.30 am Sunday morning ringing bell !! Half hour wait for breakfast 10 am to 10 30am , food at best warm not hot ,held in large dish as opposed to hot plate. Have stayed in much cheaper hotels with better standards.

Arrived at the Thistle in Marble Arch about 6pm on a Saturday night and were ‘upgraded’ from a standard to executive room. BUT where our room was situated was very very noisy and we hardly got any sleep. When you are in the room it sounds like a train is ticking over in a station right outside your window. Otherwise everything was fine!

Excellent location, Luxurious hotel, Comfy bed.

We thought this hotel was great value for money and prime location in London for shopping and various activities! We arrived and where given an upgrade which was fantastic, unfortunately the room smelled of cigarette smoke but a phone call down to reception and we where very swiftly escorted to a very good room!
Thoroughly recommend this hotel!

Very tired room with ripped wallpaper and stains all over lampshades. Good location though.

Enjoyed my stay both in the accomodation and efficiency and friendiness of staff.
