Great location

The location was great for getting around, the hotel as a whole was warm and comfortable. The only complaint was the creaky floor boards not only in our room but in the room above us which at times was really annoying especially in the morning.

Ideal location, wonderful staff and a peaceful night

This hotel wins on two crucial points - its staff and its location. You are within walking distance of Soho, Covent Garden, the museums, great shopping and excellent transport links. My room was huge (hint go for 6th and 7th floor rooms) the bed was confomfortable and I had everything I needed for a decent night's sleep. The staff are exceptional - friendly, efficient, helpful and full of energy. Yes, the lift broke down while I was there - but I needed the exercise and the staff offered to carry bags and help - and were very apologetic. To those of you who have moaned about this - get real! These things happen and hotel staff do their best to accommodate. In this hotel they go out of their way to look after you. BTW the bar is lovely the food looked great. I didn't eat there, but I wish I had!

Very very noisy

What would have been an excellent stay was spoiled by the fact that the windows in our room
were shabby old single glazed windows that let in all the noise from outside all night. Traffic, sirens, people talking and arguing, throwing away bottles etc. It wasn,t even a front facing room, our view was of somebodies toilet!

Convenient for theatre land

The hotel was situated on a main route and within easy walking distance to Covent Garden.Rooms were quite small and in need of decoration and a little upgrading which seemed to be ongoing. Rooms were clean and staff very friendly and helpful. We were on B&B basis but there were a number of little places to eat cheaper right outside.
Food was very nice but service was a little slow and they ran out of plates, eggs, juice glasses, which caused people to have to wait around a little these things should be allowed to run out. Bar prices were outrageous 32 GBP for four drinks no draught beer available.

Great location and excellent value when you get a deal on late rooms

I always look out for this one coming up; the rooms are a great size for London with a nice bathroom. Breakfast selections is very good and until 10.30 am. Only had a late night room service for a meal so not tried the dinner menu but it looks quite varied and not too pretentious or expensive

Customer service was good, the staff were friendly, the room was clean and tidy and beds were lovely and comfy. There was a bit of noise from the road - but not too much to keep me awake. Location was great, handy for the tube stations and a nice walk to Covent Garden. Thought the bar prices were a bit steep and the breakfast was too expensive, we ended up nipping to Starbucks for a coffee and a danish.

Lovely hotel

Really enjoyed my stay. Nice clean and tidy rooms. Very friendly at helpful staff on Fromm desk. Only issue was little noise from bar next door......not excessive (didnt go on too late or prevent me dozing off) and what you'd expect for the great location. Good breakfast, and reasonable checkout time a bonus.

Excellent Hotel

I spent ages looking for a hotel close to Covent Garden/West End but so many wanted minimum 2 night stays at weekends. I booked this one based on reviews and was not disappointed. The location is great, just a couple of minutes from Holborn tube station, or a 15 minute walk from Covent Garden. The hotel room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and despite being on a road it was not noisy at all. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again when next visiting the area.

Value for money

We stayed at the Bloomsbury park Hotel for 1 night for a theatre break.
The location was great, approx 20 min walk to the west end where our theatre was and 15 min walk approx to all shops.
The room was a little small and view was of the side of a building being renovated, yet all this considered it was good value for money.
There was a kettle and tea/coffe and 2 packs of biscuits, a flat screen tv on wall and also an iron/ironing board and hairdryer. The bathroom had shampoo/bath gel and shower cap.
Breakfast was good at £10.00 per head and included fruit juices, cereals, fruit, pastries, cold meats and all of "cooked " breakfast foods.
We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel located within walking distance of Covent Garden, Leicester Square and other popular destinations. Easy to find and short walk from Hoburn Station. Accomodation fairly basic, but rooms clean and presentable. Small bathroom facilities, but again, adequate for a short stay. All the essentials provided including tea and coffee making facilities. Staff friendly and welcoming. A good value hotel, particularly in view of great location and convenience factor.

Bloomsbury hotel - one night stay over

Travelled from Hull to Kingscross to take in a West End play with my friend. Situated halfway between Kingscross & the West End this hotel was an ideal location. No need for the tube but could have easily accessed Russell Square tube to Leicester Square.
The receptionist was friendly, attentive and helpful.
The twin room was clean and the beds were very comfy. The shower pressure and heat was very good and towels & shower gel supplied.
The room furnished an ironing board, iron, hairdrier & TV. (plus tea & coffee)
Huge relief to learn we could leave our lugguage after we checked out & collect on our way to the train station.
We didn't eat here but I checked out the menu & it would not be somewhere I would choose to eat.
I'll definitely book again though.

I was delighted to be informed on arrival that my booking had changed from a single room to a twin, however the room itself was dingy, at times noisy due to the close proximity of the kitchen, and uninviting. However the staff were excellent and very helpful. I would like to try this hotel again but with a much improved room.

Great Hotel, great location

This hotel is a short walking distance from Russell Square tube station. The hotel itself was clean and welcoming. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful-when we asked for extra soap and a pillow , they sorted this without hesitation. We had a twin room that was quite spacious (which we were surprised about given it is in central London), very clean and had nice beds. The bathroom was also spotless and spot on for our needs. It was a little noisy out on the street during the night-but to be fair, it is in London. The next morning we walked to Covent garden which did not take long and was easy to find. The hotel let us keep our suitcases in a locked room after we checked out (Check out is 12) and issued a ticket for collection upon return. All in all, we would definately stay at this hotel again. We were only sorry we did not get time to have a drink at the hotel bar which looked for nice!

OK but expensive for what it was.

This is a central London hotel so it is difficult to make price comparisons with establishments less well located. The accomodation was booked for us by a friend. We were a party of six and I can't really fault the place except to say that it is soulless and i have paid a lot less in other parts of the country, indeed other parts of the world, for hotels with far better facilities and a lot more ambience.

Do not stay in rooms 10 or 11

Hotel is O.K. but well overpriced, main gripe was the room was changed from twins to doubles on arrival at the receptions request and they gave us the worst rooms in the hotel?. 10, 11 & 12 are all ground floor right next to a busy side street. breakfast nice, room clean, location O.K., on check out I made a complaint about the rooms and even though he said "that is not good" nothing at all was done! this was a last minute choice and there is no way I will be back.

Good Location - Comfortable Room - Friendly Staff

This is my second time in this hotel. Lobby & reception area is small but adequate. Lift is slow & therefore I used stairs all the time. Last time I had breakfast which was very nice. On this occasion because of shortage of time I did not have breakfast. Rooms are reasonable size, beds are comfortable, central heating is good, water for shower is well heated too. There was a minor error in billing which is being sorted out. Ideal location in City Centre. I recomment this place.

The actual room was tired but very clean. Not a boutique and really no where near a Thistle Hotel but it did the job.
