The Stafford is a delightful gem of a hotel tucked away in the heart of St James’s away from the bustle of Piccadilly and Bond Street. Originally built in the 18th-century, it is a place dripping in history. Whilst its architecture and interiors make for an experience true to the hotel’s past, every concession to the 21st-century has been incorporated such as wifi, iPod docking stations, Bose CD radios and plasma screen TV’s. This may for some spoil the authentic atmosphere but irrespective, adherence to tradition is one of the reasons visitors return here year on year.
