From the welcome to paying the bill there...
From the welcome to paying the bill there was nothing that I could fault the hotel on. The bed was amongst the most comfortable that I have ever slept on and the staff we just lovely. The Stafford is a little oasis of peace and calm right in the centre of London and when you go through the doors it is hard to imagine that the busling city is just a few meters away. A truely remarkable hotel run by friendly proffessionals who put the guest first at all times. I cannot recommend it more highly and am already inventing reasons to go to London just so I can stay at The Stafford.

This was a classic last minute decision to...
This was a classic last minute decision to go down to London for New Years Eve and we were extremely pleased with the Stafford. We managed to get a Carriage House room with breakfast and evening meal included. From the moment we arrived it was clear The Stafford was a great hotel - little things like being shown to your room, rather than simply being told how to find it! The Carriage House rooms are just fabulous and they feel like a real home from home - almost like having your own apartment. I have to be honest, the evening meal was not the best we have had - this was New Years Eve so maybe the menu was a little simpler than normal? Breakfast was great however and we had it in our room on New Years Day - we didn't pay any extra for that which was a pleasant surprise. When we came to depart we were told that taxis were not available that day because of the parade - we thought this was a bind, but we were pointed in the direction of Green Park tube on the Piccadilly line - it is literally a 2 min walk away - we arrived at Kings Cross in time for our train home to York. We have booked again in Feb for a couple of nights - highly recommended.

Found this hotel at the last minute for New Years Eve and we have to say it is a gorgeous jewel in the City ! Period property & features, really quiet location but well situated for all the sites, especially Buckingham Palace. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the food at this hotel but would definitely book to stay again ...perfect for a romantic weekend. Staff very professional & helpful but friendly too.

Period property & features, really quiet location but well situated for all the sites, especially Buckingham Palace. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the food at this hotel but would definitely book to stay again ...perfect for a romantic weekend. Staff very professional & helpful but friendly too.

No hot water in the evening or morning...
No hot water in the evening or morning, room tired, air conditioning control in totally inacessible place, told that they could try to get me a taxi but it would be better if i walked down the road and got my own ( evening only ). Nice hotel would stay again but not at the rate charged
