Being a Central London Hotel, our room ( particularly as it was a "Superior" one ) would have benefited from having double glazed windows. We were woken abruptly at around 6 am one morning, by the noise of bins or skips being moved. The room however was very comfortable and nicely furnished, and the hotel was very close to the tube station.

Very clean room, however absolutely terrible hard bed, costed me sleepless night. Additionally room next to the lift and some freshly painted rooms. I felt as very unwanted and really "cheap" customer due to late rooms web reservation. Kind of lower class customer. Frankly it was worth not more then £50 rather then £150. I don't think I will stay there again. Can't comment on food as I was in hurry to leave and did not bother with breakfast.

I woke up in the middle of the night wondering why my wife was wandering around our bedroom. She wasn't, she was in bed, but it was coming from the room next door.We are frequent visitors to London, but we will not stay here again, only because of the very noisy floorboards.Staff were very attentive

Boutique hotel above a pub - don't be put off, the hotel is tastefully decorated, well-appointed and great value. Room was a good size with a lovely comfortable double bed and a modern and well-fitted bathroom. Sky sports on the TV, quiet air conditioning in the room and nice touches such as quality bathroom accessories. Breakfast in the pub was high quality (although I had to wait a while as they had cooked my eggs wrong the first time). Only other gripe is that it was tricky to get the lift to work from the Ground or First floors. Good value at £110 room and £12 for cooked breakfast in a central London location.

Only negative avoid room 105 as there are air conditioning units outside the window and are rather noisy. I would certainly stay again.

Couldn't fault hotel but oh dear, the food in the bar was dire! Chose the game pie which was just ok, but my mash was cold and brocolli raw , asked for gravy which never materialised, and the whole plate very poor value for over £9. I was refunded the price of our drinks very grudgingly after waiting ages for the manager to come see us, and no apology. If this was Fuller's best they must have been having an off day. Shame they let themselves down on something as important as their food.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Sanctuary House Hotel on Saturday 13th February for one night. I thought that, given that it was Valentines weekend, the price of £150 for the night inc continental breakfast was very reasonable. The bedroom was spacious as promised and the staff were helpful and even left a rose on the bed for when we arrived. The breakfast in the morning is of a buffet style, with croissants, muffins, fruit and cereals. You can opt to have a cooked breakfast, although this is quite expensive (around £11). The only slight negative is that the hotel is based more in London's working area more than tourist area, but we had reservations for dinner and theatre at Covent Garden, which was only a couple of tube rides away! All in all a fantastic hotel, value for money and I would definately recommend anyone to stay there!

Having been ripped off for years by over priced and under performing hotels in central london, a chance find of this place was a revelation! I left it late to book and found the city was busy, I put blind faith in laterooms and ended up at the sanctuary. A real character place, great traditional pub on the ground floor, seperate entrace to the hotel reception on the first floor. Good size room, clean, comfy beds. Good bathroom and unexpected extras such as robes, complimentary minderal water in a standard room. Fabulous freshly cooked breakfast and the nicest guy on reception (think it was the manager) you could ever meet. Any critcisms? next time you refurb, try and sort out the creaky floors - problem is the hotel is so amazingly quiet in spite of its location, the creaky floors seem deafening! Looking forward to becoming a regular!

The breakfast however was a disappointment to say the least, although we only had the continental (£7.95 rip off!) as I found £11.00 for a cooked breakfast down right day light robbery, but not the hotels fault as you will find if you read on.......what I did object to was our room was booked by late rooms so breakfast wasnt included in the £99 charge.....reading the tariffs whilst at the hotel the normal price for a room is £99 inc breakfast so before you book with laterooms.com check the hotel's prices first!

The sanctuary is a very nice little hotel in a perfect position for site seeing. We found the staff very friendly and ready to help. Our room was a decent size for a London hotel. The decor was good and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and very crisp and clean. Nice clean ensuite with bath and shower. The fact that the hotel is above a pub was great for us, hotel bars can be very dull and lacking in character. The pub was a nice London pub with brass, wood and etched glass. The food in the bar looked good although we didn't have time to eat there. The position of the hotel was perfect. Westminster Abbey is 2 minutes at the end of the road. Trafalgar Square a 15 minute walk across st James park, horseguards parade or via whitehall, with the west end 2 minutes beyond that. Buckingham Palace 10 minutes through St James Park. We will definately stay again the next time we are in London. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in London at the price.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and accommodated special requests with no hesitation. The room we stayed in was a superior room and was huge, with a sofa and large king size bed, very clean and cosy. A cracking bar downstairs and apparently great food too.
