My comments

Great little boutique hotel, suite with the mezzanine floor gave a light and spacious feel. Location great.

Stay

Excellent recommend to anyone. About 10 mins from tube and 20 minutes from Kensington High Street. Very smart and comfortable nothing too much trouble. Would say single room small but nicely done out. No tea and coffee in room but will bring you pot of hot water so take tea bags or coffee! Found having sheets instead of duvet hard to get used to. Very quiet considering where it is.

Great stay

Helpful staff, nice room. And clean -> not always the case at other London hotels. Close to Earls Court, which makes it easy to get around in London. Several nice neighborhoods within walking distance. And of course; it doesn\'t hurt to get an upgrade.

Overnight stop

Had to book this quite late and had been struggling to get a hotel at all, let alone at a decent rate. This was still above budget but only by £25. The details on Late Room were incorrect. When I got to Earls Court, I followed the instructions on the site from my phone. The instructions were for a car and not walking? Who would drive from a tube station one third of a mile? Anyway, they were to the wrong hotel!! Totally wrong road, so I spent an hour walking what should have been 10 minutes. I did call the hotel, but the use on non local staff meant they totally mis-understood me. Hotel was fine once I got there.

London/Clapton Visit

Lovely modern twist on two town houses, however bathrooms / showers are too small although high quality fittings. Ensure if you book a balcony room that you get what you requested - we were let down. Air con not up to the job.

Overall great value for money

Good choice if you spend most time in Earls Court Kensington area. To the Westend it is a 15 GBP cab ride, altough tube is 5 stops. But I spend a lot on cabs so for me the location ended up a bit supoptimal. Rest is great, well maintained, great service...only BIG downer are the miniscule showers.

Excellent location, great cusomter service

I have stayed at this hotel a dozen times. Excellent value for money, good location and great customer service. i have sampled most of the rooms from a basic single to a suite and you get what you pay for. The small singles provide a room ideal for an overnight stay and not much else, while the suites are large and spacious prividing a comfortable environment for a longer stay.

Overpriced but very clean and lovely staff.

We stayed in a luxury double and had a discounted price. I would have been annoyed had we paid the full price. From the rooms we had i would assume the standard rooms are pretty expensive for what you get when there are other, smaller boutique hotels that offer more for the price you pay. This being said we had a lovely stay with the hotel and would stay again if in a jam.

Convenient location for Olympia.

Had a pleasant stay at The Rockwell, the only real negative was the inconsiderate neighbour talking loudly on the phone in the early hours of the morning! Staff were attentive and my single room was of a good standard. I didn't have an evening meal at the hotel since there were plenty of cheaper alternatives nearby. Would suggest that the cables of the lift should be oiled for those who have their rooms right next door!

Quite disappointing the hotel brochure and website portrays a different quality of accommodation than what is the reality basic room and slightly shabby should have known by the price. The neighbourhood quite grim dull february weather may have contributed to that but not what we expected. Good tube links to centre though if not too fussed on quality of accommodation

Modern and Unpretentious

This is a very well-designed and appointed hotel. A hip place with no pretentions whatsoever. Everything is thoughtfully done but not over the top. If you want to stay in Kensington its a great choice.

Delightful boutique hotel

This is the second time spent at the Rockwell and on both occasions I have been very impressed with the service of the young staff. I had a single room this time and although small was perfectly formed - as I was only spending one night there it wasn't a problem. Breakfast was very pleasant. For the price and being in London (even the location is pretty good) it really does represent good value.

Its great for a night or two

Its very clean, modern and in a good location for exhibitions/events at Olympia and Earls Court . If you book a room for one you get exactly that so its a bit of squash if you get lucky!
