Whilst you cannot fault the service, comfort or quality of food it is very expensive. Breakfast was £18-95 per person for a glass of fruit juice, bacon, sausage and tomato, toast and tea.

The hotel and room were pretty decent but the noise from local bars emptying the bins at god knows what hours in the morning kept me awake!! even with all the windows closed it sounded as if the bottles were being emptied outside my room! and for the amount of money charged you expect better sound proofing!! much better sound proofing!!
Summary
After reading the web site for this hotel which was showing room rates at some £700.00 per night on offer at just over £100.00 .and viewing the facilities which looked very favourable, my wife and I were looking forward to a very pleasant weekend .On arrival there was no con siege to greet us, but were pleased on checking in to be advised that we had been upgraded to an executive room, however there was no available assistance with luggage. The room was aged in every way, no room bar, and the only food available in the hotel in the evening was via room service.
We requested liquor coffees from a very pleasant and efficient bar man who advised us that they were not available as he did not have cream.
On a good note the front of house staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Would we stay again? Im sorry no
Small but nice, clean room for one night. Does what it needs to for a night out in LDN.

Lovely little Hotel, super location, plenty of restaurtants/pubs within 200yds!
Room itself was a little tired, as was the hard/lumpy matress.
The most disappointing thing was the noise in the room.....just couldn't sleep.....from the airconditioning/circualtion system, and you coudln't control it from the room or turn it off.
Amazingly very little external noise in the centre of London......maybe a different room next time
A very enjoyable stay in a part of London that is more like a village with a vibrant atmosphere. The hotel is well placed for the west end with Oxford street being only about 300 yards away. The room was very spacious and cleaned daily. The bar only has bottled beer with no draught available. If I had to make a critisism it would be that in this day and age I think that charging for WiFi is a bit old fashioned, as other hotels I have stayed in it is free. Over all a great place to stay & I would thoroughly recommend
Summary
I stayed at The Rathbone with my granddaughter who was completing a weeks work experience. Firstly the location was perfect, just a two minute walk to the office and only a few minutes walk through to Oxford Street. On arrival we were informed that we had an upgraded room, which was very comfortable and spacious. The staff were very polite and helpful. We ate breakfast at the hotel, which was of very high quality, although maybe a bit expensive. Overall we had a great stay in a lovely comfortable hotel.
Summary
Excellent location off the back of Oxford Street with great restaurants nearby. The room was a bit musty but it was a good size compared to other rooms I've stayed in plus the bed was very confortable. Still astounded that this (and any) hotel wants to charge £15 for internet connection for 24 hours. Breakfast also seemed expensive so went to a local cafe instead.
Summary
This hotel is in a perfect location to spend time anywhere in the west end - it's easy walking distance to most things and very close to tube and buses for those preferring not to walk after a long day shopping or an evening out partying!
However, it is a self rated hotel so the 4 stars are a little generous. The hotel rooms are a bit tired and could do with a bit of a revamp/ refurb.
Breakfast is extortionate at almost £19 per head so we didn't eat in the hotel
We really enjoyed our stay and the location for us was perfect. The room was excellent and the staff very helpful. We would definitely consider staying at the Rathbone again.
Summary
The hotel was clean, tidy and staff very good. the whole stay was exellent
Summary
Bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent, location was quiet, continental breakfast was of a good standard. Helpful staff, we enjoyed our stay.
Summary
Staff where very nice and friendly. but for the money I paid for the room I was surprised breakfast was not included. room was an ok size for one person. the bathroom was a bit dated and needed a bit of tlc, but was clean. the shower however was very hard to get into. being a bit chunky I had to squeeze myself into it, which i've never had to do before. otherwise very nice stay. the hospitality tray was nice and a bottle of water was a nice touch.
Summary
Excellent Hotel, great location
Summary
Not the sort of place you'd want to spend a weekend break or post theatre night in London, but affordable and very central.
The place is tired and the room I stayed in much in need of a complete refurb, but I guess that is reflected in the price. At least they had the decency to 'upgrade' me to a bigger room. It was clean enough, the staff were friendly enough, the room comfortable enough and the lobby has a certain retro charm.
Just don't go expecting a boutique, designer chic hotel experience!
We were going to a local Theatre on Saturday night so staying at The Rathbone Hotel was ideal for us. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we would certainly consider staying again. We did not dine at the Hotel but might next time.
Summary
The location of the hotel was great for getting to the theatres etc, the room was really nice, spacious, clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Rathbone, however the charge for breakfast which was not included in our overnight stay cost was totally over the top at £18.95 each and certainly not worth the money. We would use a local coffee shop or cafe for breakfast should we stay at the Rathbone again.
Summary
We stayed at the Rathbone as it was reasonably close to the theatre district, around 10 mins in the cab on a busy Friday night. Both the staff and the room were of a very high quality. Checking in was a friendly experience; the staff were very courteous, helpful and charming. The room itself was spacious and clean (standard room), with a very comfortable king size bed. We did not eat in the hotel but had late night drinks; the only thing I could honestly say was negative was the fact a cocktail I chose could not be made. I asked for a glass of rioja that was on the menu and this was also out of stock, so settled for a whisky. To the bar tenders credit, he later found a bottle of rioja and let me know that it was available, which was a nice toouch.
At under 150 pounds for a Friday night in a very nice hotel including a few late cocktails / wines, I think it was a steal. I would definitely recommend to others
I quite liked this place - it is like walking back into a 1970's London hotel with very garish and retro decor. Our room was a good size, with a decent bed with good linen and towels. The bathrooms again are a bit retro, but the baths, showers and bath products good quality.
We paid just over 100 pounds for our room which is very reasonable for this part of London (Fitzrovia). It can be a little noisy due to the bars and pubs nearby, but if you're not Ok with this I would suggest not staying in Central London. Its very close to Soho and Bloomsbury.
The breakfasts are expensive (19 pounds), but given the choice of good breakfast places/cafes in the area you would be mad to pay that much and eat here.
The staff at The Rathbone Hotel really make this a pleasurable place to stay. Helpful, friendly and informative and above all professional at all times. The hotel has a traditional feel and is in a super location for the West End. The bed was very comfortable and the shower hot and had good pressure. You could probably find places more modern and contemporary but I think the Rathbone is a great place to stay and offers excellent value for money.
Summary
Superb location. Nice comfortable hotel room. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Summary
Perfect located. Too expensive, average room, but location made up for it

Summary
This is an excellent hotel, in a perfect Location. I have now stayed at this hotel 4 times, which I think says it all !
Summary
A very nice hotel in an excellent West End location. All the staff were friendly and very helpful, the room was very good and the room price was most reasonable considering being in London W!.
Summary
A central hotel which was good value for money. The interiors were a little dated and rooms on the small side but the bed is comfortable, I think we got more than what you pay for in such a central location. I did however mark the quality of the room down due to the fact the hairdryer was of extremely poor quality.
Summary
The hotel is very central, nice customer service and the room was tidy. The only thing missing is the mini fridge in the room.
Summary
Happy with the hotel for the price we paid. turned out to be top location altho wasnt expecting so. easy 15min walk from euston, loads of restaurants in the area and nice stroll to soho and covent garden/bloomsbury for bars and shopping. The offer a 10% discount on certain local restaurants but didnt try it out, altho they all looked really nice. Room overlooked the inner coutyard so no view but meant it was REALLY quiet at night. Room ok, bed comfy, hairdryer worse than useless, tea and coffee, no mini bar but you can order down, reception staff fab, free apples in entrance!, breakfast is extra so we went out to local cafe. All in all more than happy with the hotel and would use it again for ease if nothing else.

Booking was last minute. Hotel is about 10 mins from tottenham court road tube and not very far from Euston. Room was quiet, clean and spacious with internet access to work. Chair needed to be a bit more comfortable for office type use but apart from that it was good value at the discounted rate and i would stay again.

Good location
Summary
We found the Rathbone Hotel to be very comfortable. The room was a good size with table and chairs as well as plenty of space. The twin bed room was on the top floor so traffic noise was not a problem. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful. We arrived at 11 am and were able to leave our suitcase at reception.
The location is excellent for shopping in Oxford Street. We booked our room on'late rooms' and found it to be one of the cheaper hotels in this area, although it was more than we usually pay for a hotel elsewhere in the country. We did not have breakfast as I understood it to be £15 each and we were on a tight budget. Room service snacks and cups of tea were reasonably priced.
I would recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay their again.
Brilliant location for a night out to the theatre! Room was very clean. The room service was awful! It took over an hour to get two cocktails and some nachos.
Summary
On my arrival the staff were very friendly and super efficient...
The room a single had plenty of room and exceptionally clean...bathroom small and compact, on the whole a nice room if a little tired, but satisfied my requirements
I have seen comments on other sites that the rooms are too small. I stayed on the 5th floor and considering the location of the hotel, it was absolutely perfect. Staff were great, will be staying there again next time I go to London
Summary
A good hotel ideally placed for Oxford Street and the West End. Good restaurants in the neighbouring streets. Very courteous and helpful staff.
Summary
Really nice hotel very comfy room, enjoyrd our stay, the only thing i did not like much was the bathroom very small.
Summary
Considering it's location, which, by the way, is very difficult to find.......it's very competatively priced for what I would call "central" London. All in all, a very good hotel - I am already planning a return trip .Be careful when you first enter your room though. When I was checking in, a lady stormed back into reception and demanded another room because the room she had just checked in to, and been given a key to, was already occupied, by a naked man !!!!! She was not a happy camper.....
Summary
Great location, but the room I had was very tired and not somewhere you'd want to spend too long in. No doors on the wardrobe. No internet. Tiny TV at the far end of the room, wedged between the wall and the open wardrobe. Bathroom tired and dated and the windows didn't latch shut properly so the delivery noises went on all night. Felt like a top end hostel as opposed to a hotel.
Staff where all good, but the hotel is just a bit stuffy and tired.
