Booked this hotel at really short notice and got a great price through laterooms. It was ideally located for work, Holborn area and 10mins walk from Euston.
I was offered a room upgrade without even asking. Lovely big room, let down by lack of aircon, ut the road isn't particularly busy, so no problem having the windows open. Didn't eat at the hotel, and breakfast was on the pricey side £17, so gave that a swerve and went to local Starbucks.
Great hotel, staff very friendly and room nice and

The room and bathroom were of a good size, with a comfortable King Size bed. Everything was in good condition. It was a pleasure to stay there- everything was as it should be.

We were booked into the portland but had been switched to one of their neighbouring hotels The Clarendon - which was only 2 doors away. We chose this hotel because we wanted to be within walking distance of the Dominion Theatre (it was less than 10 minutes easy walk away)
The room was very well equipped with a simply huge bed. We didn't use any of the hotel facilities as this really was just a base for the night. The cost was a bit on the pricey side - but worth the extra money for the extra comfort. It was also within walking distance of King's Cross Station - saving taxi fares to the theatre and to the station (we hate the underground!)

The room was excellent - lovely on-suite bathroom, good TV and channel selection. The only downside was the heating - nobody told us that we had to turn on the thermostats on the radiaters - we assumed that the heating was controlled centrally - ended up freezing all night until we realised inte morning that the radiators did have indivudal controls for us to apply. This was not mentioned on arrival!

The hotel was very noisy. I got one of the basement rooms and the noise in the morning was terrible. I slept badly both nights I was there and could hear everything that was going on in the hallway. Also, since it was in the basement, I had to close the blinds almost all the time hence restricting the amount of outside light I could get.
Also when I went to the restrooms the first night, the bath appeared to be uncleaned since I could spot hair a bit everywhere in tub. I did not enjoying cleaning that up.
