Concert Stayer

As going to concerts at the O2 venue the Pilot Inn is a very suitable place to stay and so near to the O2 only a short walk. The accommodation is really good and the food (dinner and breakfast) is excellent. I would recommend anyone to stay at the Pilot for good service and welcoming hospitality.

Visiting the O2

The Pilot Inn is a classic English pub close to the O2 Arena and the underground service.
You collect your key from the bar and are then shown to your room. My room was a single room with on suite shower room. The food and drink in the pub is very good and my breakfast was cooked to order by the chef the following morning.
The room was clean and comfortable. I have down-graded the score for "quality of the room" for two reasons. The catch on the window was broken, so I did not want to leave anything valuable in the room, and I could not get any hot water whilst my neighbour was having a shower. 10 minutes later the pressure was fine.

Pilot inn review

I stayed in the halley suite, the room had all the modern conditions. The breakfast was of an exceptionally high standard. It was also located near a bus station and so it had many bus connections and a tube service. The showers were good too. The Beer garden was very relaxing and the pub had reasonable prices.

Very quaint rooms (could have done with a bit more light for reading). However, staff were very friendly, Bar had a good atmosphere. Watch out for the gravel pathways from the tube station if you have a trolley bag!

A real gem

I am almost reluctant to leave this review because the Pilot only has 5 rooms & is therefore often full and I would hate not to be able to get a room next time I want to stay. The location is fab, 8 minutes walk from the O2 & right by the Thames Path - for a lovely walk (or run) to the Thames Barrier in one direction or towards Green wich in the other. The rooms are far superior to your average pub - I've stayed in both singles & doubles & been very comfortable in both. There can be a bit of noise from the pub downstairs but it ends pretty early & I've never found it intrusive. The food is fairly standard pub fare, but the limited menu which is obviously prepared on site is much nicer than the vast freezer-to-microwave lists that some other places make the mistake of providing. Breakfast is always excellent & freshly cooked to order.

Great find!

Brilliant location for 02, no messing about with tubes especially at the end of evening. Free parking! The selection of complimentary teas, coffee, biscuits, chocolate and magazines in our room were the best of ANY hotel we have stayed in before, the complimentary water and top quality toiletries were gratefully used too! The room was small and the window didn't open but we weren't in there long enough to bother. The bed was very comfortable and the heating just right, large shower and all refurbished to a very high quality. We ate in the bar before going off to see Snow Patrol at the 02 both meals were very nice (chicken madras and salmon steak)and reasonably priced. Breakfast also very impressive (eggs Benedict and salmon scrambled eggs) although it did seem strange eating my breakfast in a pub! Location of hotel also very close to the new Strafford shopping centre! We would definitely recommend and return to this hotel.

A gem of a place

Ours was a last minute booking. We arrived late in the evening and were thrilled by what we found. The Pilot is an oasis amidst the redevelopment of North Greenwich - but its ideally placed if you're visiting the O2. Its full of character, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Food good and the room gorgeous. Highly recommended.

Good pub atmosphere

Great rooms and a nice pub for spending an evening.
Only complaint was I couldn't have breakfast. The pub door was locked beyond the 7.00am opening time. I stood in the rain for 5 minutes then had to go and eat elsewhere, having already paid for breakfast

A little gem of a hotel - what a find!! Perfect for the O2. Highly recommend to anyone.

This hotel is a lovely country type pub in the middle of a busy area. Its lovely. The bedroom was modern and had so many extras to make you feel welcome; chocolates, slippers, free water and even an umbrella to use! I found it quiet at night and the bed very comfy.
The room was small but the space was very well used and the bathroom modern with a lovely array of toiletries.
Breakfast was plentiful and the staff always friendly. We booked here because we were going to the O2 and it really is just a 5 minute walk along a well maintained and well lit path.
I have already booked my next stay here! With only 5 rooms you have to be quick!

Ideal for O2

We stayed overnight for the NTAs, The Pilot is only a few minutes walk from the O2 and we had no problem getting a taxi back when it was raining. The staff were very helpful - our room wasn't ready when we arrived as we were early so we had lunch in the pub, the food was good and we felt very comfortable and well looked after. We stayed in the Flamsteed Suite which faces the O2, a very good sized room, complete with telescope - although there were no stars visible when we stayed! It also has a flat screen TV, iron and hair-dryer. The bed was extremely comfortable, there was a good selection of tea/coffee and some biscuits and best of all 2 small bars of chocolate on the bed! Good sized en-suite with a powerful shower and a good selection of toiletries, there were even slippers which was a nice touch. The only thing I would say is that it needs a fan in the en-suite but other than that, it's a brilliant place to stay. Breakfast was also excellent and we didn't find it a problem helping ourselves to tea, coffee and cereal. The chef was very friendly, accommodating and informative. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay at the Pilot

We recently stayed at the Pilot for the Bryan Adams concert at the O2 and as first time users of the hotel we now know it is a great place to stay.
The room was very well furnished (Flamsteed Suite) with some nice extra touches (decent complementary water & a couple bars of chocolate on the bed on arrival etc.). The bathroom was clean and well appointed. The location was excellent for the O2, easy to find and with free parking outside the hotel. Excellent breakfast in the morning as well. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the chef at breakfast who was great.
A little attention to detail in the room regarding repairs required - one curtain didn't sit on the rail correctly and therefore the curtains didn't close properly. None of the lamps worked (lighting just about was good enough anyway). And the outside edges of the shower could do with a 'deep clean'.
All of the above did not stop us enjoying our stay and we will certainly be returning to the Pilot on our next visit to the O2.

Great Location, Fab Room

We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The walk to the O2 is about 8 minutes. We combined a concert there and a meal at one of the many eateries. Access to the Jubilee Line is also right on your doorstep. Greenwich is just a short bus ride away and we enjoyed perusing the market on Sunday.
The room was very well designed and has all the equipment you could need.
Value for money with breakfast included also. Would definitely stay again.....

We stayed at The Pilot Inn when we were at the ATP Finals at the 02. It was brilliant in every way, particularly that it was just a short walk to & from the 02, no worrying about transport & back in time for a couple of drinks in the bar. Staff friendly & courteous & an excellent breakfast. So disappointed that when we tried to book for this year's tennis they were already full.

Wow. Beyond Expectations.

Booked at The Pilot Inn half out of curiousity to be honest, and was very pleasantly surprised. It's a real pub, with good beers, good food, real people............and a fancy cheese bar. What more can you ask for. When you realise where the Inn is, it's only a short walk from the tube station. The room was top quality, with a view towards the O2. Also should mention the service and friendliness of the bar staff and the chef. I would not hesitate to reserve there again.

One nights stay for an event at the O2 Arena

Previously stayed in central London when visiting the O2 but found getting back a complete nightmare - too many people for the transport system to handle late at night. Decided to stay local and the Pilot Inn is a little gem. Given its location, the bar and restaurant areas are never too busy and the food is good. Checked in early (mid day) so didn't see the room until our return at about 2330 and was very pleasantly surprised. Very well equipped and thought out. Will use again.

Smashing place to stay

Just 5 mins walk in a straight line form the O2, and yet a peaceful place to stay. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely designed with extra touches like chocolate on the pillows, decent coffee with a cafitiere, nice toiletries, and super soft beds. Breakfast was excellent and was cooked freshly to order by a jolly chef, I couldnt fault it. My advice - dont bother with the larger chains with their souless atmosphere and crusty breakfast, stay here its well worth it.

Stayed here as we were goin to watch lee evans at the o2, read all the reviews and none of them were wrong, this is a excellent hotel with very friendly staff, the rooms are very comfortable and clean and the cleanest bathroom i've seen in a hotel!!! even though it is almost in the centre of london you wouldnt know it, once you walk inside it feels as though your in a quiet country pub and even sitting in the garden was the same. Anyone going to the o2 should definatly stay here as it is just a 5min walk away and even if you just want a quiet hotel in london without all the hustle and bustle of central london this is the place as the tube is only a 5min walk away.

Wonderful Service, Great Pub Food and a Lovely Room

I booked the Flamsteed Suite at this 'ye olde inn' for one night to coincide with a trip to the O2 for my Boyfriend's birthday. All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful; plenty of smiles! The accommodation was nicely decorated and the room was spotlessly clean. There was a great range of toiletries and hot drink options. It had a lovely cosy, relaxing feel to it and the bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep! We had dinner in the restaurant before heading to the concert and the food arrived very quickly, was tasty and very filling. The Full English Breakfast in the morning was outstanding, but there were other choices available too. This place is great because they take into account that if you've been out late on a Friday or Saturday night; you're not keen to get up for breakfast between 7am and 9am the morning after, so weekend breakfast is between 9am and 10.30am, brilliant! My boyfriend and I both loved The Pilot Inn and we will definitely stay here if we visit the O2 again. We have certainly recommended it to all our family and friends.

The Pilot Inn was a small hotel in the middle of millenium village. It looked out of place and we coudnt believe it when we walked in. Like an old fashioned pub but in the middle of no where. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the best part for me was the room itself. The rooms are all different with their own theme. Best night sleep I've ever had in a hotel. Stayed here as it was a couple of tube stops away from where I was working and (comparatively speaking) cheap as chips. Wish my visit had been pleasure rather than business as it would have been good to let my hair down in the boozer down below. Accommodation was great with some really nice touches. The Pilot Inn is literally a 5 minute walk (and a pleasant one too) from North Greenwich Tube station and the O2. The staff were very friendly, helpful and most courteous. We were particularly touched with the gesture of a drink on the house from the Landlord, upon learning that the show we had travelled up to see at the O2 had been cancelled! Breakfast was gorgeous with a large choice on the menu, and we also ate there the night before and had a main meal each (delicious), with a bottle of wine, and 2 glasses of rose', all for approx £60.
