Newly refurbished, this is a lovely hotel in an excellent location. Nothing was too much trouble, staff were friendly, helpful and always smiling. The crushed velvet halls sound like something from the 70s, but it was very tasteful. We booked a Superior Room, compact, but bursting with facilities. Room service was prompt, the portions were ample, delicious and not over priced as some hotel restaurants can be. Not the cheapest hotel in London, but I believe The Marylebone to be good value, we will stay there next time we visit London.
Summary
First impression of hotel is wow when you walk into reception and through downstairs , this changed as soon as we entered the bedroom particular the bathroom which had a stained bath, cracked tiles and general paintwork needs refreshing . Apart from the room it was fantastic stay with staff that couldn't do enough for you .
Summary
Had a great experience at this stylish little hotel - it's reception/customer service staff were faultless, very courteous and helpful without being overbearing. And the little touches were appreciated, such as vouchers for a complimentary cocktail once they heard I was there to celebrate my birthday. It was a bit pricey, and the room service and food charges put us off eating there, but being so close to marylebone high street meant we didn't need to - highly recommended I'd definitely stay again.
Summary
Great CS, definately the best hotel bed / mattress I've slept on... but the room was quite small, and the bathroom was the smallest I've ever come across... it was ridiculous - I would say they have split the original room & bathroom in two during the refurb andits not great, so this doesn't make it value for money in my opinion. Didn't have food
Summary
Excellent hotel, we arrived early but our room was ready and we fortunately received a complimentary upgrade, I had requested a high floor in the hope that we would get a better view rather than a brick wall, on the 6th floor we had views over the rooftops of the buildings. The decor was really smart and modern for the room and the hotel common areas. The bar was friendly and offered good service, breakfast in the morning had a choice and quality of food that was better than most hotels I have stayed in. The hotel is located well for both shopping and the theatres also many of the restruarants of Soho etc. The Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, I would certainly recomend the hotel and fully intend to stay there again in the future
Summary
We could not fault the Marylebone Hotel in London where we enjoyed our stay enormously. Our room was quiet and clean and the hotel had excellent facilities. The breakfast was probably better than any other hotel where we have stayed but what made our visit particularly memorable were the staff who were so helpful and friendly. We will definately stay here again.
Summary
Very satisfied overall unfortunately marred by building works hammering which disturbed us at 8 am on Friday morning
Summary
Everything about this hotel is first class. The door man was warm and polite (first impression is so telling), the staff at reception were friendly and quick.
Stayed in the delux double and I'm happy to say it was great. Everything in the room was clean, bed linen, bathroom, tea/coffee facilities. It was soo quiet I slept beautifully. A great job by all staff in the hotel.
Great location, easy access to fantastic restaurants and shopping. I'm ditching the Cumberland in favour of Marylebone Hotel.
Great location, great customer service,Clean and modern room.I stay in London hotels x2 a week ,every week. The Marylebon is a will return venue!
Summary
From arrival at the hotel the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Given the situation of the hotel and the decor I was expecting it to be more than a little pretentious but it was in fact quite the opposite. Customer service was excellent and we felt completely relaxed during our short stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully be staying again on our next trip to London.
Summary
Great location close to Oxford Street. Modern hotel with friendly staff and comfortable rooms
would definitely stay there again.
Given that it was supposed to be a "Secret Room" i.e. luxury hotel for small price, it was a bit disappointing. General impression is that they use the worst room for the Secret Room deal (tap was not fitted propery and shower glass didn't sit right so bathroom flooded with every shower) and the hotel wasn't "in it's best light" - the spa was conveniently under refurbishment and the lift kept playing up. The staff however were very courteous and the big upside is that it's centrally located.
Summary
Whilst the hotel is ok, there are many AA accredited 4 star hotels in London which are better.
Drinks prices are high even for London, don't even consider using the mini bar. The rooms are ok but very small and dark, our room looked out on a brick dirty utility area where the Air conditioner outlets were. We would have asked to be moved if we were staying longer than one night.
If you are stuck for a reasonable bed in W1, then you will be fine, but if you have a choice, choose the other one
Free upgrade, very friendly and helpful staff, double aspect room, bathroom a little tired but very clean and functional, very comfortable bed, good coffee maker, corridors reminded me of a ship but I wasn't sleeping in the corridor, music at breakfast annoyed me but the breakfast was very good, so convenient for central London it's amazing but just off the beaten track, good cafes locally. So...some very tiny niggles but we will definitely stay again as we had a lovely time. Good value for location and quality, and the staff are genuinely helpful and friendly. Will try to use the pool and more of the facilities next time.
Summary
We had a very relaxing weekend break & fully enjoyed the use of the Spa & Gym. Facilities were clean and the staff were very friendly. I did not want a paper in the morning but received one and paid for it, It did make me wonder how often this happens to people? Breakfast is very expensive!!
Summary
Fantastic. The little things like a hot towel on arrival and a bottle of water on departure make you feel really welcome. The spa facilities were amazing. Would recommend it to anyone.
Summary
The hotel was beautiful, luxurious and spotless. The room was immaculate and the bed was so comfortable you didn't want to get out!
The facilities were excellent and the staff extremely polite and helpful. The room service breakfast was a little over-priced but very delicious.
Definitely worth the money!
We had a wonderful weekend however a fantastic hotel was let down by a poor breakfast.
The cooked breakfast was cold nothing on the plate was warm. My wife had to wait while here eggs were cooked even then when it arrived the food was cold.
When you pay £25 you expect hot food we were glad we were unable to get a table in the restaurant the previous evening.
Walking distance to Selfridges (Oxford St. Short cab distance to Soho, Bond, theatres. Cool facter of 10. Quiet, clean and the Nespresso machine rocked! This just replaced my stand-by on Jermyn St - Cavendish.
Summary
Would recommend this hotel not far to walk to the tube station and staff were very freindly and helpful.
Summary
I paid £230.00 for one night room only. I paid a further £36.00 for breakfast which i found very exspensive for the quality of food i was given. The waitresses didnt set my table properly so I was waiting for cutlery and i had to ask three times for coffee. I would stay again however the breakfast was very poor so I would give that a miss.
Summary
This is a very pleasant hotel in a good location. The staff are great and the Breakfast was excellent. The only down side is, the Superior room size is small and consequently you only get a British double bed 4'6" which is small.
Summary
We booked in for 1 night as we were attending a party in the area and wanted somewhere luxurious for a treat. This hotel did not disappoint! Our room was immaculate, beautiful decor, comfy beds, fab walk -in shower. All staff were very helpful and friendly.Breakfast was superb. I particularly liked the aromatherapy candles dotted around everywhere. As soon as you walked into the corridor the wonderful aroma from the candles filled the air. This hotel comes highly recommended especially if you want to stay somewhere a bit special as a treat !
Summary
Great welcome, lovely ambience, nice room.
Breakfast very tasty, room service very prompt.
Big bathroom, but the shower could have been bigger and a little more powerful.
Other than that, great hotel!
