The rack rate is extortionate (£300+ for a single room) but at Laterooms £59, it was superb value for money. I was going to a function elsewhere so was not concerned that the restaurant is not open on a Sunday evening. Only reservation was no tea\coffee making facilities in the room but as I had been forewarned by reading other reviews, I took a travel kettle. Room was small but perfectly adequate - a large single bed, everything very clean and fresh. Staff very welcoming. Would definitely stay again at this price.

I booked the room on laterooms website and paid £99 for it. I had read on other reviews that the rooms were slightly small and they were but the room we stayed in was lovely and we found it plenty large enough, the bed was comfortable and well made up. The bathroom although small was lovely again with all the facilities you need and the shower was brilliant. Ordered room service and shall we say they were a bit liberal with their helpings but that is not unusual for hotels. the staff were friendly and very helpful. Location wise you are bang in the west end and could walk most places. All in all a nice hotel and would definately recommend staying there.

On first impressions and following a drink in the bar the level of expecttation was favorable sadly the room was tiny so bad infact that in order to put clothes in the wardrobe the bed had to be moved after that it just became a joke that was not really so funny Suitable for a group of very very close freinds

This is a lovely hotel with a very strong emphasis on customer service. As such we found all the staff without exception to be polite, helpful and generally extremely nice people. The room was a bit narrow but certainly very pleasant, with the bed extreme;y comfortable. It is very well placed not far from Oxford Street with some noce restaurants on the doorstep. If I had one criticism it was of the breakfast. The continental was ok but quite why a great hotel like this can't provide an English breakfast without making it out to be an a la carte experience I don't know. We will stay there again I am sure.

The room that we stayed in was very small. It was only possible to get into the bed if we squeezed down the sides. Fortunately we were only there for one night and didn't spend a lot of time in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful however, but said there was nothing they could do about the size of the room as this was the size of the rooms allocated to laterooms.com.

The room was very nice and comfy and the bathroom was modern and clean. However, the room was tiny and if we had been paying the proper price I would have been annoyed. We were offered an upgrade but not for free and it certainly wasn't busy. Staff were friendly enough and it's a great location. Wouldn't want to spend more than 2 nights with such little space though.

When we arrived to check in the clerk informed us that we were being upgraded from a double to a deluxe room, although when we saw the room it was hard to believe there was a smaller room as it wasn't big at all. The room itself was very tasefully decorated however the bathroom could definitely do with updating and I would not say it was of 4 star quality. I was disappointed that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room especially as a green tea delivered by room service turned out to be £4.13 the most expensive tea I think I have ever drunk! The breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed have a drink in the bar although you couldn't stay in there all night as a cocktail was £12 each! Would definitely stay again as location was perfect for Christmas shopping you just have to watch the extras you put on your room as they add up very quickly!!

Very welcoming but no tea/coffee tray in the room and the lift area was very dark (supposed to be trendy I think!) Room was fine, good shower over a bath.I felt very safe there as a lone female.

London has many so-called star hotels London is...
London has many so-called 4 star hotels. London is one of the most overpriced cities in Europe where you can pay a lot for a nasty experience. But unlike many capital cities even the chain hotels here are often very variable in quality and certainly price. So it’s a delight to come across a hotel that is substantially different from the norm, The Mandeville. OK, so I got a very good rate of £150 including VAT and service through Laterooms.com. The Mandeville’s location is good. Just a hop skip and jump from the Bond Street end of Jermyn Street in the heart of London’s West End - a good 10 mins walk from Oxford Circus tube station. However, what sets this hotel apart from the mainstream is its theatrical decor with a modern twist and the great standard of service that everyone from the doorman to the reception clerks deliver. This is a hotel that treats you as a name rather than a number. Even the telephone operator greeted me by name! The staff are uniformly friendly and unlike most London hotels seem genuinely so. The room I had was great. It was certainly compact, but nicely and freshly decorated and furnished with a comfy bed, desk and a well lit bathroom with a ‘shortish’, but perfectly adequate bath (I’m 6ft 1in) and an excellent shower. Full English breakfast is a steep at £22 (but this is London), but it is freshly prepared to order as every breakfast should be. Fresh orange juice, yogurts, fruit salad and tasty pastries complete the picture. Altogether an excellent one night’s stay. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Mandeville to friends and business colleagues as The place to stay in London.

A lovely, classy hotel in a splendid central location. Staff were attentive and the room well appointed and spotless. The hotel bar is a stylish place for a cocktail or two. The laterooms deal made it good value. I'd stay again at the right price

Can't argue with the location as it's close to the shopping district, Regents park is a short walk away. Not quite sure what paying for the upgraded was for but generally the room was good. Little disappointed with the noise, we were woken up both mornings, the windows seem to cut out not enough noise.
