Room quite small with no view at all, but didn't really matter as we were out sightseeing all day. Very clean and modern with all the amenities you need in a room, ie Iron, tea/coffee, hairdryer etc. Location was ideal, within walking distance of main sights and the tube only 5 mins away. Very good value for the reduced rate we paid.

The hotel has just undergone an extensive refurbishment and the decor is modern & tastefully decorated. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we departed. The rooms were also tastefully decorated, clean and spacious with a lovely on suite bathroom. Room facilities included Iron & board, hairdryer, tv & also compimentary tea, coffee etc. Considering our room was on the side of the main road, there was no noise from traffic outside. The hotel really was 5 minutes from Covent Garden and there was plenty to see and do and eating out was great and not expensive at all. I really enjoyed my stay and I will recommend stay at the Kingsley Hotel again and I have recommended it to a lot of my friends already.

Our room looked brand newly refurbished. The quality of furniture and fittings were of a higher standard than I expected for what we paid. It was clean and modern throughout. Could not fault it.
It was on the first floor, however, and this made it slightly noisey on the Sunday morning, but we knew Bloomsbury Way is a bus route, so I can't complain.
Breakfast (10 extra each, but very good) was 45 mins late in being delivered to our room, had to make 2 calls for it, and (therefore?) the porter didn't ask for the 5 tray charge for bringing it up to the room. It didn't put us out in anyway, so no dramas there.
Maid banged on the door at about 9.20am. I would have thought they would have a sheet of who has checked out, rather than banging on the door to see if you are awake yet, but I am being picky.
Great Value for Money...Good location...Good parking (Bloomsbury Sq, 2 mins, 20 for about 28 hours, discounted from 32 because we had stayed in a hotel. Pay at the desk, not a machine, or you won't get the reduced rate!)
Will use again no problem.
Good location for sightseeing.
Cross over the road and you are on the road leading into Oxford Street. Covent Garden a short walk away, and the museum located in the road behind the hotel. Air conditioning in room much appreciated on warm summer evenings.
Staff offered to store my luggage on departure leaving me a good few hours for more sightseeing. The hotel was just perfect for our needs. A friend and I stayed just one night so didn't have a lot of time at the hotel but our experience was very pleasant. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the refurbishment was of a high standard and meant everything was clean and fresh and the location for theatre and shopping was just absolutely perfect. Great value for money accommodation that I would certainly recommend and use again if I had to stay in central London again.

We were very impressed with the decor and hotel layout following the recent refurbishment. We had a large room with a comfortable bad and good bathroom. The air conditioning worked very well and there are tea / coffee facilities in the room.
The only slight disappointment was that the buffet breakfast could have been hotter.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hotel was ideally placed for the West End and is only five minutes walk from Holborn tube.

The hotel has been transformed from what was very old fashioned hotel to a new trendy place to stay. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the bathroom is very modern. My complaints would be that it's a very noisy hotel with compressorsgenerators starting up very early in the morning disturbing your sleep, and the cleaning maids bang about also being noisy. It was cheap and cheerful and worth a 100 for my 1 nights stay.

My mum and myself enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the only small problem we had was when we checked in our room wasn't ready but we needed to get changed due to a restaurant reservation. In the end the hotel we're able to provide us with a different room but I don't believe this was a superior room (free upgrade when booked with yourself). The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would stay there again. Hotel is currently being refurbished and the rooms and bar and at a very high standard.

I would have liked more 'worktop area' in the bathroom for when putting on make-up. Items had to be put in the sink.
Also a small stool or chair to put clothes would have been useful in the bathroom as clothes had to be put on the floor or the toilet seat.
The breakfast was quite poor considering rating of hotel. Croissants and rolls were cold with no means to heat up. Poor selection of cereals. I also emailed the hotel asking if they would kindly put birthday balloons in the room but they did not reply, and no balloons on arrival. It was however, very central and easy to walk to many places and I would stay again.

A bus lane runs along the front of the hotel, so don't expect to be able to drop bags etc. off at the front and leave the car for a few minutes! However, a very convenient bus stop is a bonus!
We stayed at the weekend, so there was no building work happening - it seemed to be confined to the Ground Floor anyway.
The room was upgraded to a newly refurbed and it was very spacious and modern. Whether it is standard I don't know, but there was even a separate sitting area with its own plasma TV, in addition to the one in the bedroom.
There was an ironing board, iron, trouser press, tea and coffee, safe, air conditioning (very quiet), but no fridge. Perhaps that will arrive later? We overlooked offices and it didn't seem noisy, even on a Saturday. I think robes could be provided, but we didn't bother to ask for them. There was an enormous, comfortable bed. Breakfast was buffet style with a choice of hot and cold dishes and food of good quality; decent sausages and bacon (not the cheap sort) and fresh scrambled eggs. We paid an extra 10 each for the breakfast, rather than 15 as we pre ordered it when booking in.
All in all, we were very happy with our stay.

The hotel is in the middle of being renovated with a lot of work on the ground floor but this was not a problem in any way. Breakfast was also good. I had no problems at all with this hotel and have stayed in quite a few around this budget in London over the last 18 months. This is the best overall to date especially the room. The food however did not come as advertised the nachos should have had guacamole and mayo and cheese, instead it was a few totrtilla chips in a bowl with some melted cheese and two pots of heinz mustard and tomato sauce! The hotel was covered in scaffolding and plastic sheeting undergoing what was a well needed refurbishment. The room we were allocated was so dark (on possibly the hottest and brightest day of the year thus far) that lights were needed all of the time. The airconditioning did not work, though when we pointed this out it was made workable. However, during the night at around 1am a significant amount of water issued from the airconditioning unit necessitating the calling of the reception and someone to effectively turn off the unit (we were unable to do so). All in all a very unsatisfactory hotel which will not be receiving a return visit or recommendation.

The hotel is well sited for central London, but at the time of my stay, its exterior was heavily disguised with scafolding and plastic sheeting, which made it difficult to find initially. The reception was good and the room was adequate for one night's stay. However, the cooked breakfast was poor and not worth the money. The scrambled egg was inedible - rubbery and disgusting and obviously something out of a packet added to water.

Hence I was woken each morning by hammering, drilling etc from outside. The wine we had was very good but there was no ice for my first choice of a G&T, which is ludicrous.
The room and bathroom were very clean and fairly spacious, but were let down by the roaring air conditioning and the view from the window of a brick wall. The decor was dated.
Whilst the staff were very efficient, the hotel lacked character and the atmosphere was rather dull. Our overall experience would have been improved had there been more guests, but I felt that this was a hotel that better suited older people and businessmen, not young people on leisure.

When we checked out we were disappointed to be charged 32.99p each morning for 2 normal buffet breakfasts more than 16 per breakfast, what a rip off.
