We chose this hotel because we were going to a performance at the Royal Opera House in the evening. It was a superb choice being only a short walk away. We also had the bonus of some time in the British Museum. The hotel has recently been refurbished and is immaculate although we felt some money could have been spent on double glazing. For London though it was not too noisy at night.

The title says it all really. I booked late and paid £246 room only for a single. It was modern and clean but absolutely tiny. On check out i was held up for about 25minutes while the recptionist "looked for a piece of paper" she said she needed in order to process my check out. While she was away looking for about the 14th time, her more senior colleagues stepped in and took my payment in 30seconds.On the plus side, the hotel seems to have good facilities and a nice ambience but as a business traveller in a hurry and on a budget I won't be back unless I win the lottery

All the staff were helpful and polite. Our room was clean and tidy, unfortunately the telephone didnt work and wasnt fixed during our stay and we werent offered a move to another room. The shower was like standing under a watering can of tepid water...I like my shower to be hot and with some power to clean me at least!! and the water temperature was the same at all times of the day in the shower. The hotel is in an excellent position... a short stroll to Covent Garden and Oxford St, and the Concierge was really helpful with directions and short cuts etc. Wouldnt recommend staying here with young children as it is a "boutique" hotel and the clientelle was all adult...and I think there are better suited places, but if its a get away from the kids with your girlfriends place you want then this hotel is just right. The decor is lovely and very modern.

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel for one nignt last week. The hotel was excellent value for money and the rooms were probably the largest non-family rooms I've stayed in in London. The room was spotlessly clean and it was evident all ove rthe hotel that it had recently been refurbished. Situated a short walk from Tottenham Court Rd tube it was an ideal central localtin for s short city break.

This was our second time at this hotel and again fantastic. The hotel is so well positioned for West End shows and shopping and the quality of the rooms is second to none. The room was the biggest we have stayed in, and this is the centre of London.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night on a visit to a London theatre. Although the room was spacious, modern and clean (for which I give it top marks), it was a very uncomfortable night. The room was FREEZING, even with the heater on full blast. The mattress was hard and the pillows tiny, we both woke up with sniff necks. Considering the price we paid for the room I was expecting a more comfortable, relaxing and warm stay.

Nice, clean hotel with modern facilities in an ideal location for Oxford St and the west end. Only had one issue where my husband checked in after me and despite asking if this was OK no key was available until he complained to Manager. Otherwise friendly polite staff and clean , modern room if a little small.

I stayed in the Kingsley on Friday 5th February as we were taking in a show on Tottenham Court Road. On arrival the reception is SPOTLESS, very warm staff and helpful concierge. We had the breakfast the folllowing day which cannot be faulted. All in all it was reasonably good value. The rooms are very modern and cater for all your needs. Only one thing to pull them up on and that is if you do purchase the breakfast the day before. Make sure that you present the voucher the following morning or you will be charged twice for it. Once this was flagged, the receptionist immediatley credited the bill. I would happily stay here again and would receommend it to anyone thinking of taking in a show for not only the lovely staff but the excellent CENTRAL location.

We had an early season deal so with full buffet breakfast I only paid £123, which I thought was quite reasonable. The room was clean and adequate, however it was not very warm and the heating unit on the wall over the door was very loud so I had to turn it off! Also dissapointed with the bath (took ages to run and wasn't that hot!) and shower. No coffee etc in the room either. On the plus side, a great location to Covent Garden 3-4 mins walk and Holburn tube. Nice big bed and a good breakfast! Glad I didn't pay the full room price of £330 though!

Stayed at this hotel for it's central location and provided an excellent base as only 10 minutes walk from most theatres and literally round the corner from the British Museum. 5-10 minutes from Holborn tube. The Summer '09 refurbishment means contemporary and comfortable environment - reception/bar area and rooms all pleasant. Got an upgraded room on arrival. Reception and concierge staff always very pleasant, helpful and available - they were happy to store our luggage on arrival and departure to enable us to make the most of the weekend in the capital. Book ahead for a good rate and you can't beat a hotel like this. Only minor niggle while staying on such a bitterly cold sub zero weekend - the windows are not double glazed - surely even if listed a workaround could have been found during the refurbishment? Also surprised the bathroom floor didn't have underfloor heating on a 4* hotel. As it was so cold the room could have done with being a tad warmer, but then these were exceptionally low temperatures and are nit picking to a degree. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend to others. A great find, and superb value on the tariff I paid.

The hotel had a fantastic location and the standard of the accomodation was first class. We were upgraded to a suite which was fantastic as the facilitees were second to none. The only problem was there was only a towel heater for heating in the spacious bathroom which was not adequate to keep the room warm.

We were looking for a nice hotel to stay in near Covent Garden and the Kingsley is just that. Easy to find, well located and generally a good hotel. The down sides were that the air conditioning in our room did not seem to work, and little things like the bin lid in the bathroom falling off but the customer service was very good, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom very modern, Maybe a little expensive for what you get.

The rooms were clearly recently refurbished and offered good value for money. Location was reasonable with only a short walk to shopping areas and Covent Garden. Unfortunately they tried to overcharge but once laterooms confirmation was shown they immediately credited the overcharge. Why do hotels do this? I would be slightly less cynical if for once I was undercharged!

I decide to have my evening meal at the hotel rather than going out, the menu was quite small with not a lot to select which was disappointing. I had the soup of the day to start which was almost tasteless, I then had the tandoori chicken which was nice but could have done with more sauce. I was surprised that the room service menu had more choice than the actual restaurant.I would stay at the hotel again but would probably not eat in the restaurant.
