Reasonable value for money considering it is in London. The staff were really nice and it was a bonus having the pub downstairs for a meal or a drink. The breakfasts were absolutely fantastic! We had ours down in the bar and it was always on time and fresh and beautifully cooked. The pub meals that we had were also fantastic.Unfortunately we could not use the wifi much as they were having trouble with it whilst we stayed there - a bit disappointing as it was a major factor when we booked this accommodation. The area is a little dodgy - the first night we were there some youths came into the bar and made a scene. This, I was told, is not normal however. We also felt a little unsafe walking home after dark. Other than that, St Pancras rail station and King Cross underground were not far away, and there were heaps of restaurants and shops in that area, as well as the library where we founf free wifi. The room was comfortable and the complimentary toiletries were a nice touch. There were a great numbre of channels on the TV if you feel like staying in and watching the box.

Very good overall, great atmosphere and very handy for London transport links - used for business stop over but would be equally good for exploring London as a tourist

We stayed in the triple room to save a bit of money and it worked out at £48 each including breakfast which was very good value. The room, bedding and bathroom were very clean and the room was decorated in a pleasant, simple way with a tv, alarm clock and tea/coffee facilities. The hotel is in a great location and within easy walking distance of the city, covent garden etc and very near Kings Cross St Pancras so easy to get the tube.

We were in London for a weekend. We chose the Harrison as it looked reasonably priced and a little more individual in comparison with a lot of other similarly priced accomodation. There's not much going on in this part of London (just of Gray's Inn Road) over the weekend, indeed the pub itself is closed at the weekend. However, it's a good base to walk out to Theatreland, Bloomsbury etc. The staff were v helpful: they were happy to look after our bags for the day when we arrived early on Saturday. Our room was basic but very clean and spacious. The breakfast in bed was great!

This is a nice friendly B&B style hotel located above a restaurant and bar. The rooms are on the top floow so there's little or no noise from the business below. Located 5 minutes walk away from King's Cross St Pancreas stattion which makes it ideal for city breaks into the city. There's not a great deal directly around the hotel though as it's located in a residential area. The parking in the area is provided by NCP and is charged at £24 per 24-hours, so a better deal maybe be procured by parking in another area and travelling to King's Cross by rail.

My husband and I decided to choose a small central hotel for our stay in London so the Harrison Gatro Pub appeared to fit the bill. We arrived to a small room and an en-suite with a shower that was almost to small for my husband to get in. Maybe to be expected at London prices, however you do at least expect a clean toilet and bedside drawers that don't have used tissue in them !! After going out for the day we came home late to find that the walls were so paper thin we could hear the woman next door snoring all night. It was that bad it seemed like we were sharing our room with some strangers. We were going to check out in the morning but due to only a short stay didn't want the hassle of lugging our bags around to find another hotel in the rain. The second night we spent quite sometime with the television up loud to try and drown out the rather active couple in the room next door.I was glad to get home to have a nights sleep at the end of the break and would say to anyone looking at booking here then think again, you would be better of going and staying in one of the large chain hotels. It might not cost less but would certainly be a lot less noisy !!!

For me the only negative thing about the accommodation was that it is up two flights of steep stairs - I have MS which causes difficulty walking/climbing, but I knew there were stairs before booking. The hotel may want to think about getting a stair lift for one flight at least as they fold up very small and would not impede access to the stairs. Otherwise a very good place.

I've stayed here before and was delighted to see it available on the Laterooms listing again. I picked it the first time because it's so near St Pancras and I sometimes get a very early Eurostar. But I went back because it's brilliantly comfortable, intelligently thought out - and the food's amazing. It's also pretty much the friendliest and most helpful (a customer leaving before 6am has got to be a pain, haven't they?) place I've ever stayed in London (and I stay in town one night most weeks). So much so that I've even bothered to write one of these!

Positive points - nice clean room - very comfortable bed - reasonably spacious - in a very quiet street only 5 mins from Kings Cross Station - No 17 bus from end of street to St Pauls and London Bridge runs every 15 mins - able to leave luggage until time for train so didn't have to drag cases round London on last day.slight negative points- was a triple room but only 2 cups/glasses etc - waitress brought breakfast in bar then disappeared leaving us to eat with cleaning lady sweeping round us - reasonable breakfast but could do with radio/TV/papers to create better atmosphere - feels like breakfast is an inconvenience instead of a service - bathroom shelf was loose so everything fell off -

In a city famous or it's pokey, over-priced accommodation this hotel is reasonable value. IThe bathroom is small but at least you can turn around!. The bed was comfortable and the room well heated. It's about a 5-10 min walk from Kings X/St Pancras so quite conveniently located. The pub downstairs is lively but I wasn't at all disturbed by the noise even when the bar was in full swing. The quality of the food is excellent for a pub and the staff we're really helpful.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend the Harrison Gastro Pub. It's within walking distance of either Euston or King's Cross, as well as Islington (which was my destination), Bloomsbury, Camden, etc.The room was better than I expected from pub accommodation - not particularly large but a reasonable size with a good double bed.The bedroom and the en-suite bathroom were scrupulously clean and neat, and everything worked perfectly - the TV with basic Sky channels, the free Wi-fi, and all the facilities you would expect. You can control the heating from the radiator, and my room was nicely warm despite it being a frosty couple of days when I stayed. The staff were friendly and it's good to have a nice bar downstairs with real beer. The street is a reasonably quiet residential street (blocks of flats surrounding) but this is central London so obviously there are cars up and down. This was much better value for money than going to one of the hotels nearby and I'll definitely be going back next time I'm in London.

Stayed Saturday night at the Harrison Gastro Pub with my Mum as we were going to Saddler's Wells, the room and bathroom were very clean and the Housekeeper was very accomodating. It was a no frills experience but was fit for purpose. Breakfast was served in the bar, and no effort was made to make it more comfortable, lights off, no heating and chairs still on top of tables from night before, but we had asked for our breakfast to be served in room, and changed minds at last minute. The Pub is not open to the public on Saturday evenings (private functions only) so a nightcap before bed was out of the question, also there isn't room service or in room hairdrier. So i think it a little unrealistic for them to self classify as 3 star.

We picked the hotel because of it? location near Eurostar - which was a complete waste of time as they had shut down operations. We arrived late evening as planned and the bar was packed so we were unable to eat there. The room was basic but clean and although breakfast was from 7.30 they very kindly served us earlier with a super full English breakfast before we set off to Heathrow to catch our flight. Excellent value for the money, and if I ever forgive Eurostar, then I will definitely stay again.

We stayed on a Saturday night, the night of the week when they are available to hire the bar and restaurant area for private parties. Of course the one taking place the night we were there went on into the early hours and, though not outrageously noisy, the noise kept us awake. Avoid saturdays!!

Stayed for 2 nights and although the rooms are basic they have all you require for a night away from home. The cooked breakfast was absolutely lovely and kept us going all day till teatime! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also had a drink in the bar one of the evenings and found the clientele friendly and the drink prices very reasonable. Will stay again on our next theatre break as it is handy for tube station and we also walked to theatre on first night.

Excellent bolt hole for a London City Break. We stayed here because of its proximity to the station for getting out to Luton Airport. It's a cute set up. We arrived after the pub's closing time so felt very privileged to hear the door being unbolted before being ushered in off the street. The breakfast was good (you complete a breakfast form the night before and leave it half way down the stairs for the breakfast fairy) and served to us while the drayman was offloading casks of ale. We benefited from earplugs as the windows are single glazing and your right on the street, albeit a relatively suburban one. We would stay here again.

Good value for money, roomy and better value than many London budget hotels, some of them slightly larger than cupboards with en suites that a larger person( ie me ) can't easily fit in to. Clean, although a little "tired" with arather spartan feel, but all essentials were there. The rooms were two floors above the pub and in a quiet street so very peaceful and close to Kings Cross.

We were extremely dissappointed by the hotel accomodation and chose not to stay the one night we had booked. The accomodation in no way reflects the photos on the hotel's website. In reality the accomodation is shabby and in desperate need of reburbishment. The rooms are accessed by a steep narrow flight of stairs with very stained carpet and walls. The pub was closed the very short time we were there. This accomodation is extremely overpriced for the poor quality of accomodation. We chose to find alternative accomodation so I able unable to comment on our actual stay at the hotel.

Up narrow stairs, decoration badly in need of redoing. Holes in walls. Chair and desk very small and uncomfortable. Old portable TV. Wireless quality very poor to non existent. Noisy. Do not know how it qualified as a 3*. Having stayed in a variety of London Hotels would have to say only one has been worse. Do not appreciate having cooked breakfast delivered as I sit down to cereal. Pub itself has character, though toilets are awful. Badly in need of a facelift.

We found this place by sorting all London hotels by number of rooms and selecting the lowest (four!). These rooms are spare but perfectly adequate and clean. They are on the third floor of a true neighborhood pub and grille on a quiet street. People of all ages gather there; no unruly drunks, and the bar closes at 11 most nights, so night noise was not a problem. Wonderful food--non-hotel-guests go there for dinner and they do private dinner parties. Cooked to order breakfast included. Personable and responsive manager. Good location (near British Museum and an underground stop). No elevator, so don't stay there if you can't handle two flights of stairs.

In any case they don't open especially late and the pub quietened down quickly after closing.
