Leaking water in room!

At about 2am we noticed water drippng from the ceiling into our room.We moved the cushions and chair where the water was dripping and just had the continual drip all night. We were just too tired to ring for the night manager...and what could they do at that time of night.
it was raining pretty badly outside anyway!
I reported this to reception when I left expecting a manager to accompany us to the room to check out what we had said and perhaps a discount or something but just a "I'm so sorry and here's the bill".
Not a very caring service.

Home from home - if you live in Paradise!

The Goring is elegant yet cosy! Beautiful but still warm & friendly - from the minute we stepped out of the car & in through a door held open by a smiling and courteous doorman, every member of staff we encountered treated us as if we were honoured guests. At the same time they were friendly and quickly got to know what our needs were for this stay. The rooms are beautiful and are laid out to meet all requirements for comfort & we very much liked our wooly companions! (each room has a toy sheep in it!)

Wow!

We paid more to go to the Goring than any other hotel before, but it was our 25th anniversary and we didn't want to stint. I asked for a view if possible, stating the reason for our stay. When we arrived we were thrilled to be upgraded to a beautiful suite, with complimentary champagne! The staff were very gracious and efficient, remembering our names at each encounter. Any (minor) glitches were dealt with quickly. Breakfast was huge and silver service. My husband felt a little under dressed in the restaurant; with no shirt and tie as all the other guests had, but we were never made to feel unsuitable for the Goring. It's expensive but you get a wonderful experience, and you will treated like royalty. Just around the corner from Victoria too so very convenient for travel.

A Royal Experience

Everything about this hotel was fantastic. Front of house concierge gave us a warm welcome, the doorman was brilliant and the food was exceptional. The room was clean, tidy and fit for a King. The service was first class, and the garden was splendid. The staff made our stay special by being polite, professional and friendly.
