Can't fault our stay - although it was just overnight.
Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and spacious. Bed comfortable with plenty of pillows.
Food was tasty and well priced. Bar staff ordered a taxi for us to go to Wembley which turned up within 10 minutes of ordering.
Second stay here and would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone.

The Fox & Goose...refreshing change

I stayed at the Fox and Goose with my son and daughter on a weekend break which included a trip to Wembley Stadium. The staff are pleasant, helpful and courteous, the service is efficient and delivered with a smile. The food is of a high standard and the portions are more than adequate. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. When we checked on the Sunday before going to Wembley Stadium the hotel staff organised taxis for us and also looked after our baggage after until we could collect it later on. Booking through Laterooms provided excellent value for money and the Fox and Goose was a welcome change from the "chain hotel" experience.

Ideal location for the underground

Stayed the Saturday night when the hotel was full, however, we were given a lovely ground floor room overlooking the secure carpark. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially in ordering a taxi for the following morning and in giving directions. The only negative comment was the breakfast which was lukewarm. The Hanger Lane Underground which is on the Central Line is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Wembley Stadium is 20-30 minutes walk, or £10 by taxi which we took due to the terrible weather ! Would definately stay here again.

Poor experiance

We arrived and were shown to our room. Tiny with a tiny double bed. Im 6" 3 so would have ment my wife sleeping on the floor, ( this for £110) The staff were very good though and changed our room to a superior one which is what we would have expected in the 1st place. Bed very comfortable. We had a bar meal in the pub which was very acceptable. Later we chose to eat in the restaurant. Big mistake. It was just pub food at 3 times the price and worse my mixed grill was cold. Changed for prawns chips and a lousy salad of which one prawn of the 5 was cold. All this for £17 Rubbish avoid the restaurant like the plague. We were offered a brandy and liquor coffee as recompense, but really we should not have been charged or at least just been charged bar prices. We spent £250 and the last time we spent that we were at the Hilton Brum. Hotel is ok, but pub and rest best avoided

Very Good Position and Value

The hotel is very well-placed: easy to get to and out again to the motorways. Very easy to take the tube into London, so avoiding all the hassle (and cost) of driving in and parking in town. Our room was large and well presented and the pub a good-value place to eat. Recommended.

Good value for money

Exallent location for wembely, a straight forward walk only 2.9 miles and the bar staff helpfully pointed out that we could catch the number 83 bus if we wished. The room was a standard hotel room which was clean and tidy. The shower was one of the best I've experienced from a hotel. Overall I thought the location and standard of hotel was good value for money.

A lot of money for a tired room that smelled musty

I had stayed here before with my wife so went back. This time the room smelled from a musty bathroom which had broken wall tiles ,mould around the bath.slow emptying dirty bath plug outlet.broken toilet roll holder,auto-lift basin stopper replaced with an old rubber plug on a chain.
entrance light broken and difficult to see the hanging clothes area.
Final straw was to be woken up at 7.40 am on my final morning.
we were there for my mother-in-laws funeral....bad enough without paying top money for rubbish room.I WILL NOT BE BACK NOR WOULD I ADVISE ANYONE TO STAY IN THIS TIRED HOTEL.

Very good for the price

The rooms are starting to get a little tired, e.g. cigarette burns on the bathroom trim, but they're clean and nice enough. There's tea and and coffee facilities in the room, and even a few biscuits, which is very desirable in my book! We paid £65 for a double room, no breakfast, okay for the area I suppose. Check in was efficient and friendly. There's a bar menu and a proper little restaurant room at the back, which we tried. The food there was very good indeed, service was a wee bit on the slow side but pleasant. The staff all seem quite helpful.
I have stayed here before and I would stay here again. 5 out of 6.

Good location and fair value

On arrival I checked into room only to find that they had given us a doble bedded room instead of a Twin which was important as my wife has a thigh problem due to recent operation and is on crutches.Luckily we arrived early and were able to change rooms.
We then found in the evening after retiring that two of the lights in the Bathroom were defective. One flasing on and off and the other was not working.
This was rectified the next day.
The refreshments in room ie beverages were a little mean...only one hot choclate 2 coffees 2 decafs 4 milk and 4 tea (the latter fine). And one single pack of 2 biscuits.
They are obviously hard times.
The bathroom was adequatte with good shampoo bath gel moisturiser and sewing kit as well as head cover for hair water protection and good towels but only one tiny soap.
Telivision control had back cover missing and batteries tended to fall out.
Old crt telivision was a bit low for viewing from bed.Need lcd tvs and a better range of channels hardly sattelite tv.
Parking is rxcellent.
I would go back but hope they will get their bookings right and check on lights and services in room.

Very clean rooms and curteous staff (good value for a quick one night stay only)

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were curteous and accomodating to requests.
However, the walls let sound travel through very easily. I could easily hear people in the next room talking even though they were communicating at normal volume levels.
Beds were clean but the springs were heavily fatigued making the beds uneven and too soft.

The hotel was good value with secure parking. The pub itself was very nice and the breakfast we had was good, although my husband balked at paying 9.95 for a cooked breakfast - that is not unusual however, he hates paying extra for anything.
The rooms were in a building out the back of the pub away from the road, so there was no road noise. The only negative thing about the room was that the bed was extremely soft and springy, that said we still slept well. I had asked for a room that wasn't far from the reception on booking and the room we had was directly off the reception, which was perfect.
Location wise it is just off the A40 which for us was perfect as we were in Ealing the next day.
All in all I'd recommend this hotel as a good value option if you don't need to be in central London and you're driving.
