Great customer service provided by reception

I felt very comfortable due to the fact that we were treated very kindly by young receptionist who was very professional and always solved any of our problems. E.g. we wanted to pay in three parts, needed another sleep cover, late breakfast... but thanks to him we over stepped this little issues with quick resolution with always our 100 percent satisfaction.

Very pleasant & would recommend. Will stay again.

We actually had a booking elsewhere but found this at the last minute, very pleased we did. Most pleasant & friendly welcome then shown to our room. Room & en suite good size for London/budget & really well equipped. To our surprise, we found a mini kitchen in the room which was very subtly integrated, good quality & very well done. Shower water pressure excellent, good wifi connection (free), good selection of tv channels, comfortable bed, & air con. The hotel is freshly decorated with good quality furnishings & was very very clean. Difficult to fault though beware if you ask Reception to call you a cab - they use a very expensive, very unpleasant mini-cab firm! All in all though this is a really nice, reasonably priced London hotel & we won't hesitate to stay again if in that area. Would definitely recommend it for both a business or personal stay.

One night stay

A well equipped and very clean room with shower room recently decorated and furnished with a tiny kitchen hidden in a cupboard. As a room for one night and at a reduced price this was good value. But this was Room No.4 in the basement and beneath the tiled floor of the entrance hall so that the noise of people walking above was prevalent and interrupted our sleep. Apart from this one rather obvious drawback this is a quiet and convenient location. One other minor irritation was the motor noise from the fridge in the cupboard kitchen which was situated close to the bed. We will certainly stay again if we have a choice of room location.

Very comfortable bed for the night!

The Clevehand Hotel was a really good choice for an overnight stay; the staff were friendly and the room was lovely and comfortable. Please be aware that this an apartment hotel, so there is no room service etc. However, the room did have a lovely little kitchenette with all the essential equipment for knocking together a quick meal if necessary. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is a short walk from Lancaster Gate tube and initial impressions were good in that it was once a grand house and the entrance hall looks original. Very well positioned hotel for access to central London. Only a short walk from Bayswater tube. The staff were very polite and helpfull and our room was very nice - it had a little kitchen with a kettle, toaster, hob, fridge and microwave. If you were stopping there for a few days you could easily cook youself up a meal or two.
I chose this hotel for its proximity to the Royal Albert Hall as we were going to see a concert there, it was a very pleasant walk.
If I were going to this part of London again I would definatley use this hotel again.

Health and Safety

The room was very clean and the customer service was very good with the exception of being given a second electronic door key which did not work which was really annoying when we left the original key in the room and the room was on the fourth floor. Although there was a lift to the third floor, the last floor could only be reached via a narrow staircase via two flights of stairs. This staircase did not have a hand rail around the top section and then for the rest only on one side. I would say that this might not meet health and safetly regulations.

Well placed and value for money

The hotel is set in a quiet area a short distance from Bayswater Road and handy to Paddington. 5 minute walk to Queensway underground. An unusual hotel with self catering facilities in each room. No comunal facilities (bar, dining room etc) and showers not baths are provided. It appears to have had a refit not long ago and is in good order. Our room was adequate in size and had a resonable quality of bed and soft furnishings. I would say this was a good 3* quality but if you want higher (and will pay for it) look elsewhere. I would visit again if value for money were the main issue

Hotel good, surrounding area not.

Hotel is clean and comfortable ( if a little basic - no curtains = very light mornings ) staff are lovely - very helpful.
As is typical with London - no rooms are quiet - although I didnt try the basement.
Major issue was the car being broken into during the night - hotel has no CCTV or securoty and we lost our work bags from the boot of a 4 x 4 with a lift up back door... be warned.

Best on LateRooms in London

It's simple - you want a quiet, clean, well equipped room in a friendly hotel, well here is perfection. No noisy bar, no lager lads, no dodgy quick fix feel. Its in a lovely quiet location - easy walk to Paddington and has trustworthy staff. After booking 10 rooms over a period of 6 months in London via LateRooms, at last, one that isn't a hostel when you go under £150 a night.

The Cleveland Hotel.

Easy to miss as you walk in to Cleveland Gardens area. Very intimate and 'boutique' feel. Pleasant staff who show you to your room.
At first we were a little unsure as we were led downstairs, but there was a window, with natural daylight thank goodness! The view was dreadful, a tiny, v cluttered smokers area, but as we were only staying for one night, we weren't too worried.
Very pleasant, modern room. Clean, comfortable with a surprise kitchenette in the 'wardrobe'! A very nice touch and great for those not wanting to spend a fortune on food.
Would definitely recommend this for a reasonably-priced, upmarket hotel.

Exceptional value

Thoroughly enjoyed our night here, and wish it had been for longer. Travelled from the Westcountry to visit Royal Albert Hall, and this hotel had the perfect location, being 10 minutes from Paddington Station and 15/20 minutes from Royal Albert - and a pleasant/scenic walk!
The room was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed - all 6foot of it....massive! The kitchen area and lounge with flatscreen tv was separated from the sleepng area by a dressing-table/mirror, and this area with its sofa, dining table and chairs cooking facilities would make staying here even more economic if you were here for a few days because it is expensive to eat out all of the time!
Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and look forward to returning in the future. We booked through late-rooms and paid £99.00 for a double room for the night (without breakfast), for this rather attractive area of London I reckon thats very good value

The apartment was spacious, clean and of excellent quality with no issues with noise level from other occupants. The hotel is within walking distance of a variety of restaurants and also the tube but is off the main road so is generally quiet. Nice hotel, nice location, not perfect, but good value for money

Arrived about 5pm, easy friendly check-in, was walked to the room by a pleasant receptionist. Shown how to use safe etc. Building nice and clean mews house style with a great feel to it.
Room was small - had to lean to pass the TV at the end of the bed to get to the other side. Nice bed, comfortable pillows. Soft furnishings starting to tire. Carpet somewhat marked in places. One window wouldn't open until thumped (!). A/C didn't seem to work - never figured it out, but weather wasn't hot so didn't bother. Large Cupboard held a full kitchen! Kettle, sink etc - apparently you can cook but it didn't look like anyone ever had. Very nice and clean. Also bathroom - pretty spotless and nice.
Shower head was loose - as soon as it went on it rotated back to spray the ceiling - fixed loose screw with a knife from the kitchen (handy!). Soaps absolutely tiny! No soap dish, had to keep bending down to put stuff on the shower floor., which I hate. Huge fluffy towels.
Late (1:30am) return to the hotel room, friendly security let me in. Check out friendly next day, and a taxi arranged.
So generally good, let down by some minor stuff that really should be noticed by cleaners and fixed, but nothing that was going to seriously ruin the stay. It looks like a refresh will be due soon, but not so much as to look tatty yet.

Good value through laterooms

Booked a night here as a family in February half term. Room was very spacious and beds good. Some signs that perhaps hadn't been maintained as well as it should have been, threadbare patches on carpet, pull across curtains that didn't meet (so late daylight in), shower door that leaked. But at the price paid (£109) through late rooms very satisfied with the standard of accommodation. Good location for Hyde Park.

Great short stay hotel for young families.

We (2 adults + 2 6 yr olds) stayed just the one night but we were very impressed. 6 year olds tell it like it is and one of my daughters immediately said "nice and clean". I had booked a family room and it was huge. Again my daughetrs thought the sofa bed in a seperated sitting room was the beez kneez.
Very friendly reception from Barbara too.
The room had it's own kitchenette in which you can prep your own food. Breakfast is a little unusual in that is brought to your room and you make your own tea/coffee/toast (all supplied). The pastries are made on site and were wonderful.
We used a lift to get to the first floor lthough there are still 4 or 5 steps to negotiate this was never a problem.
I do a great deal of business travel in 5 star hotals and our holidays are never budget affairs and I can say that the main bed was quality, room was quiet and overall the experience was very pleasant.
Thouroughly recommended.
