Summary
Location very convenient for enjoying London.
Room spacious, clean with loads of magazines and papers. Love having self catering facilities.
Fine preferred alternative to the larger hotels in the area
Summary
The room was clean and tidy - the furnishing felt a little basic though
Summary
The customer service was of very high standard. The room was very spacious with a brilliant en suite.
The only quarm, that the breakfast was very expensive £21 per person so we chose to eat elsewhere.
For the money(£126) this hotel was very good. The staff are very friendly and the hotel gas a nice intimate atmosphere. We had a studio room with kitchenette and I have to say for London, the room size was big. The bed was big and very comfortable which for my 6'4" husband, is a crucial detail. It was about a 10-15min walk to Covent Garden which is ideal. The rooms could do with an update and attention needs to be paid to certain things(e.g there was a broken tile in the bathroom which was hanging precariously and one shower door had come off the bottom railings) but all in all, this is well worth the money and we would definitely stay here again.
When we checked in we were told we had been upgraded to their sister hotel next door, The Clarendon. This wasn't a problem, the room we had was enormous with a super king size bed and a large living area. There wasn't a kitchen area which we were a bit disappointed about as this was one of the reasons why we selected the Buckingham but for one night this wasn't a disaster. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was expensive at £20 each so we chose to go to one of the pavement coffee shops just down the road opposite the British Museum which was lovely. Would use this hotel again, location was excellent and also very quiet.
Summary
We were first drawn to this hotel as the price of the room for the loaction was excellent! I was nervous that this would mean that the room was no good, however this was not the case. This has to be the biggest hotle room i have ever had, it included a kitchenette, lovely big bathroom and a very comfy bed! Very quiet loaction, no noise at all from outside or in the hotel. The hotel itself is a bit dated in decor, and very basic, no bar or resturant, but the location and value for money was excellent! Would definately stay there again.
Summary
The "suite" comprised very large double room, sofa, desk and a kitchenette area with small table; also a comfortable ensuite. For London a huge and very confortable room well appointed with good quality furnishings. Just 10 minutes walk from Euston station and a further 10 minutes walk into the West End. Breakfast was good but expensive. Staff very friendly and helpful. As anywhere in London streets are noisy at night with windows open, the one downside is no airconditioning. There are no other facilities to speak of.... but if you are planning to eat out and see a Show ....it has all the facilities you need. Nearest Tube Russell Square on Piccadilly line
Summary
A good hotel away from the hustle and bustle yet near to resturants and tube station.
Summary
I have to say I was really impressed with this hotel. The room was excellent, clean, large and although a basement room, plenty of natural light. This trip was for leisure, but on business I have stayed at London hotels over double this price, and had a vastly inferior room. This was a real gem of a hotel. We were only saying on the drive home how we would defiantly stay here again next time we were in London. The only down side was the bar, which could be improved. Also breakfast was £25 + each…. Expensive by anyone’s standards. We abstained and walked up the road for our “full English”. We paid £126 and it was worth every penny.
Summary
Having read some negative reviews on basement rooms in the hotels in this area, my heart sank when I was allocated such a room. However I was pleasently surprised. As others have stated the room was massive with a large and small double, microwave, fridge and sink as well as bathroom. The room was at the back of the hotel, so was particularly quiet, and I had an comfortable nights sleep. These rooms are particularly suited to families, but would also be happy to stay again if here on business. breakfast is expensive, so would suggest having breakfast in one of the many nearly cafes.
Summary
When in London I have made my priority to stay at this hotel after staying before and having a good experience. I had the same room , and executive double, as before and it certainly met my standards more than adequately. There was only one problem and that was there was no microwave installed in the room as stated on the brochure. Other than that the staff were very helpful in allowing me to check in earlier than 2.00pm.
The Hotel was superb. Clean large room, excellent facilities and helpful friendly staff warm and welcoming. Cost was just right as well considering the location, near the station and the venue we needed. We shall use the hotel again when we are next in the city and we have already recommended it to friends.

I had a room booked for sat nite and was told I could check in at 2 in the afternoon after parking near the hotel and walking into Leicester square I got a call at 8 o clock at nite telling me my room was no longer available, rubbish service
Summary
Firstly I was impressed with the location of the hotel, very close to Covent Garden and generally most things that you would want to do including rail stations and underground. I before my partner and was allowed an early check in which was very helpful as I had a lot of baggage. The staff were very helpful and informative. When I entered my room I was really impressed with not only the size but the facilities and the cleanliness. The room was spotless and the bathroom also. There was an iron, board and of all things a kitchenette with microwave !! What a result I thought. Overall I was very impressed with all aspects of the hotel and would definitely return soon.

Summary
This hotel, at £99 for a double room is easily the best hotel in London I have stayed in, even better than some more expensive ones.
The main reasons for this being the room we had was very spacious and open, with a nice bathroom.
It also had a fridge, which was excellent. Nothing worse than waking up in the morning with nothing to drink but a warm bottle of water. There was also a microwave and a sink in the main room.
The hotel is based on a quiet road, Russell Square and Bloomsbury Gardens are close by. The tube stop is a short distance away as are a series of shops and restaurants so all in all, ideal for an over night stay.
Will definitely be staying at the Buckingham when returning to London.
