On arrival there was nowhere to park and on a very hot day this was very frustrating having to lug bags accross London. We were upgraded on arrival to a suit which was fantastic but we found the room had not been cleaned properly, the finish to a lot of the room was not up to standard, the TV's kept loosing their picture, the shower was a multihead great looking shower but some of the heads did not work. The staff on reception talked between themselves and you had to interupt them to request anything, not a smile to be seen. I was really looking forward to this break but this hotel let us down!

Wonderful experience overall. We booked overnight, opting to have breakfast outside.
We were greeted with warm towels by very hospitibal staff, and shown to a most luxurious room on the 5th floor.
Comfortable bed was complemented by good bathroom and coffee making facilities, all adding to a wonderful experience.
Two minor criticisms, the TV was very hit and miss with poor reception, and also the heat in the room, despite air conditioning, was at times uncomfortable.
We will rtuurn to london again some time, and would have no hesitation in returning to the Bollmsbury Hotel.

I found this hotel an oasis of calm in the centre of a metropolis. The staff were charming, discreet, thoughtfull and efficient. I particularly liked the hot freshen up towel at Reception as I had arrived obviously looking hot and bothered. I would have preferred wifi in my room and not just in the public areas.

Centrally located close to the british museum. Tried to check in at 1230 as were going to a concert in the afternoon but told to come back at 1400 as their rooms weren't ready, even though the couple in front checked in. Rooms of a good standard and modern though bathroom rather full of greenfly as the maid had left the bathroom window open. Would probably stay here again.

Was disappointed that there was no mini bar. Tea and coffee stuff a little sparse as was the biscuit count, for a couple, one packet - shame on you! Most outrageous thing when I requested more they sent a lady up with one packet, v funny!
Room service a little lacking in that it was not as efficient as I would have expected in spite of the late hour it was requested. Bed was exactly as advertised on the site, well done, bathroom was delightful.

The hotel is well located for access to Oxford Street & Regent Street and on the doorstep of the British Museum. It is surrounded by cafes to sit outside and enjoy a nice lunch or breakfast. The hotel itself was very smart and spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was modern, spotlessly clean and air conditioned. However, it was very small. We booked a deluxe double and although the room was lovely it did feel cramped with little room to move around. Saying this I would definitely stay here again on business or leisure as this did not spoil our stay. It just would have been nice to have a bigger room.

We stayed in this hotel for the bank...
We stayed in this hotel for the bank holiday weekend, we wanted a central location so we picked the bloomsbury. The location was excellent, 2 mins walk from tottenham court rd tube station and walking distance from covent garden and leicester sq. As we arrived we where impressed by the lovely reception, and the stay seemed promising. we where on the second floor so we got in the lift with our case. We saw the room and it was so small there was hardly any space to walk past each other, so ironing a shirt whilst my girlfriend drying her hair was an impossibility. my girlfriend also noticed there is very little storage apart from a wardrobe which was ok, but there was no room for pants, socks etc...
The room was beautifully decorated though as it was one of the refurbished rooms, but the normal rate of 300+ a night is very expensive for the type of room you get. If you are offered breakfast on check in you will be told that it is 21 but if you book it then it is 15 but there is a couple of great little breakfast cafes nearby that are much, much cheaper.
Over-all a great weekend, but if you just have the standard double room, then don't expect much space
Hope this helps.

We stayed at the Bloomsbury for one night to go to the theatre. The hotel is lovely and doesn't have too much of that chain feel about it. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Be careful though when checking out that they don't try and charge you the full room rate. Thankfully I had my Lateroom booking confirmation with me and it was sorted out quickly. We didn't have any food at the hotel so cannot comment. We had breakfast in Covent Garden, lovely at 9:30 on a sunny sunday morning. Apart from that it was an excellent stay and would recommend for anyone wishing to stay in London.

I found this hotel centrally located with the tube a short walk away. The room was nice, could have been a bit bigger but that is not a complaint. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. one issue i had was on ringing the hotel to confirm my reservation they were not able to find this, one quick call to late rooms and this was resolved, the person I spoke to had spelt my surname incorrectly. This provided only a moments panic. Other than this i would highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, excellent room.
Normally, when staying at the posher hotels, we've found that we're treated like second class guests, tucked away in a broom cupboard and ignored by staff simply because we've booked through a website. There often seems to be an air of grudging resentment that we're getting the room at a discounted rate and we've often found that the room we've originally booked mysteriously 'has a problem' and we get bumped to another.
That certainly wasn't the case here, everything was first class and the staff were fantastic. Highly reccomended.

My wife and I stayed here to go to a show in the West End and then Wembley on the Sunday to watch Everton beat Man Utd in the FA Cup semi!!! We arrived early and were checked in quickly but they had assumed that I was someone else with the same name - so check your details carefully. Half the building seemed to be undergoing a major refurbishment although this didn't affect our stay at all. No noise from the workers or from outside, which was surprising. Rooms are small but well equipped, furnished and newly decorated. Bed was comfy but sagged in the middle, much to the annoyance of my wife who reckons I take up too much bed as it is! Staff were friendly and efficient. The nice tolietries were not stocked up for our second night though, despite us stashing the first lot in our bag! Be aware that breakfast was 21 per head, scandalous when there are so many little eateries around. therefore didn't try the food.

We had a lovely room. We loved the underfloor heating in the Bathroom, it made it very cosy. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and itall had a modern feel. It was a small thing but we loved the light in the closet! Tea and Coffee making facilities were excellent with a good selection of teas/coffees and biscuits. Drinking chocolate for late at night would have been nice. We thought the public areas were a little dark, mainly because of the battleship grey paintwork, but the room was fine and we slept very well with no adjacent noises anywhere. The large flat screen TV on the wall was superb and gave us more room on the dressing table. We would come again.

My husband run me a bath with the tap on the coldest it would go and I still couldn't get in it without scaulding myself. So onto plan two I emptied the bath and tried for a shower, manageable but still rather too hot for me, I'm not adverse to a hot bath but not scalding hot. If i'd had a child or been pregnant this would have been a very serious problem.

We stayed for one night at the Jury's Inn after going to the theatre. We checked in late because of this and if I had any complaints it would be that the reception staff at that time of the evening were a little bit obnoxious, but not blatantly rude. Otherwise it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. All the other staff we encountered were friendly and were quite happy to just let you meander around with out interference. The room was modern in design and very clean. With all the usual amenities you would expect to find in such accommodation. It was a tad expensive for an over night stay, but in my opinion was worth every penny due to the location. It's on the door step of everything you could possibly want to do in the west end. So if you are going to the theatre and then intend to do some shopping in town or go clubbing then this is a excellent choice of stay.

When we first arrived at our room the heating was not working very well and we were moved immediately to another room after one telelphone call to reception. We managed to get a deal on the breakfast rate, which made it good value for a hotel of this standard in central London.
We orderded two sandwiches from room service one night that were pretty awful, so when checking out I complained about this and was given a refund. First impressions of the hotel room excellent, so close to Oxford st.
Lovely room, soft bed with excellent quality pillow and duvet, clean and well decorated. Good bathroom with excellent shower and toiletries. Nice large flat screen TV, sitting area, ironing board - iron, safe, mini bar, hairdryer and a selection of Magazines.

Closing impressions of the hotel:-
Very disappointed in that I was not made aware there would be refurbishment work taking place literally outside my room. The second night was more expensive then the first and yet I was woken up very early due to the renovations. The noise was defining when the outside lift shaft passed my window, if the Blind was not pulled all the way down the contractors would have been able to see in. When I paid I said I was not happy about being woken up so early and they should inform customers before booking or at least place a note within the rooms. The Hotel employee smiled and said its on our website! No apologies. It has left a bad taste which is a shame as it is very convenient for me and a nice hotel. Would I stay there again? No.
We arrived to be told that our room had been upgraded to a newly refurbished room - what they should have said was that we were to trial the room as we soon found that whoever they had used to do the refurbishment were very shoddy workers! The shower door did not close and so flooded the bathroom, the temperature tap in the shower came off in my hand, the sink filled up with water extremely quickly (without the plug in), and all night there were banging noises like a dodgy air con system from overhead. The window in our room looked out into someoneelses room! When we told reception about these problems on checking out as well as the maid walking in at 9am, she said we should have complained earlier but realised that getting up at 3am to tell her about the noises overhead may have been pointless seeming we were only staying one night. A nice hotel but customer service seems a little inadequate and they should invest more in employing able people to refurbish - quite a lot of money for an okish room!

In its defence, this hotel was going through some renovation at the time of my stay so the fact that the rooms were a little on the shabby side could be forgiven. However, when I requested a different room after being put in a one the size of a horse trailer it was apparent that the receptionist found me nothing more than an inconvenience. My biggest complaint about this hotel was the food which I found to be appalling. After scanning the usual bar type menue which was extremely dreary I decided to treat myself to something from the restaurant menu. The food to be found on this menu was basically a bar menue written in French which I felt somewhat insulted the intelligence of the guest. I chose the deep fried fillet of seabass, with twice cooked chips and crushed peas. This is to the usual consumer, fish and chips - and not very good ones either. By stacking the chips they seemed to think this could justify charging 17 or so. The fish I suspect was not the freshest, and crushed peas are mushy peas. Pomme Pont neuf, for anyone having the misfortune of viewing this menu are french fries so I suppose at least I learnt something from my stay here.
Not impressed with this hotel at all. Paid 200 bed only. Fist room was fine quality wise but discovered when I went to close the curtains that one of the curtains was hanging off it's rail and couldn't be closed, also the mini bar was out of order. I planned to have something of a lie in and not wanting to be woken by light streaming into the room at 6am I went to reception to ask for it to be fixed or to be moved. The provided me with another room no quibble but it transpired to be a smoking room and I am not a smoker. Resigned to this I realised that I hd left a shirt in my old room. I went and retrieved it but on my return I couldn't get back in to my new room. Back to the reception. Had to explain the whole thing and since I was there asked for a non smoking room. I was then offered a twin room - again no quibble. This was OK but when I went to the mini bar for a wine - guess what - it was out of order. Room service provided a glass but at a cost over the mini bar price. All in I was not impressed and a carry on like this when you have had a long day is not good. I also noted that the bathroom floors in two of the rooms were quite dirty. Personally after this I would not use again.

It has an iron in the room which is a great bonus when you have packed linen clothes! Room service didn't get back to me about a request. Very polite ,professional and friendly staff at reception. No problems with bill through last minute.com. Very easy to get a good value breakfast within area of hotel-Would stay again mainly because of its convenient location and relaxed atmosphere.

The great thing about his hotel is it's location in terms of closeness to the west end. I have stayed in it a few times now but this time was disappointed with the standard of furnishings/cleanliness of the rooms. When I spoke to the guy at check out he said that they were starting their refurbishment on 26th July - not a moment too soon, I may go back and pay the money to stay here if the rooms have been freshened up.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is excellent - right around the corner from Tottenham Court Road tube, but away from the main road so traffic noise was never a factor. The room was smallish and the bath very small! However having a huge suite is not particularly important if you're out and about all day. Eat in the restaurant at least one of the nights: it is not especially expensive for what you are getting and the choices are more than adequate (two 3 course meals and wine for well under 100 is pretty good value for a top meal experience in London). Women be advised: if you're booking a romantic stay, the hotel has sky sports 1,2 and 3 - though no other satelite channels...pity that!

Took my credit card, which is usual, but promptly charged 130 to it without telling me or explaining why. When I queried I was told it was just incase I had any extras. I objected and they cancelled. Reception area a bit boring. Too grand and uninviting with the decor. It is possible to do grand and cheerful but it did not have it. The restaurant we had breakfast in was more like an old library. Everyone speaking in hushed tones. Needed better atmosphere and a bit of lively music and decor.Good food though but not worth 32 charges. Location made up for it.

Having been a frequent Laterooms user in the past, I often felt that hotels 'dumped' their worst rooms on the site at low rates. All my old feelings were confirmed when I checked into room 319. Avoid this like the plague, it sounded like the power plant for the whole of London's air conditioning systems was housed in an adjacent corridor! The receptionist didn't bat an eyelid when I complained & clearly knew about that room! However, I was relocated to a much nicer and quieter room on the 4th floor which was excellent value for 79 pounds - if only they had put me there in the first place the whole experience would have been so much better.

The size of the room was small but this was fine for a busy weekend - not so great if you want to spend a bit more time in your room. The breakfast is so expensive for what it is so steer clear particularly as there is a shop across the road which does a good breakfast for less than a fiver - don't be fooled by the exterior - it looks shabby and is called a sandwich shop but did a fine breakfast. I would definitely go to Jurys again.

Not impressed. We were first placed in a room that must have had a direct ventillation connection to the adjoining room. Could hear normal conversation clearly. Then we were switched to a room that had the maid service Laundry Chute right in the middle of the outside wall of the room. Starting at 7:45 am, could hear banging, crashing, various Eastern European languages as they planned their day. We asked that they not do that the following day, and guess what? No change. To top it off, there are no service elevators in the hotel so on several occasions we had to forgo a lift becuase it was full of laundry/staff and on one occasion, rotting garbage bags of last nights fish entrees!! Be forwarned! Great location for Soho, Covent Gardens; impressive Lobby, and to be fair, they did deduct internet charges for all of the problems ...The Jurys on Welbeck is a much better value.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, just off Tottenham Court Road, and the furnishings and decor are of a high standard. Generally, the staff were friendly and professional. However, and this is my only negative comment, I asked the receptionist in the lobby if I could order food there. He said yes, and that he would send someone over to take my order. I waited for 25 minutes, and though he wasn't busy, and could clearly see me sitting with a menu in my hand, nobody ever arrived to take my order! I resorted to going to the sandwich shop next door, where the food was half the price, and the standard of service much better. This is unacceptable for a four star hotel in London. Otherwise, very good value for money, and I would recommend this hotel to someone who wants a very centrally located base in London.

Having stayed here 10 years ago and thought it very good I was extremely disappointed with the whole experience. I am sure however it is only typical of the way the service industry in the UK has deteriorated in general with, on a scale of 1- 10, mediocrity being 10 and 1 being unimaginably poor. One of the most frustrating thihgs was that most of the staff did not speak or understand enough English so there were several wire crossing incidents but I am sure I am probably not allowed to voice that opinion for fear of being branded a racist! I do hope you pass these comments onto the hotel as I feel very sure that better staff training would greatly improve standards. I do not need to be told to have a nice day- I want things to run so smoothly that I will have a nice day - actions speak louder than words!!

The reception staff are possibly a little over-worked at key check-in /check-out times - the two who were on on Saturday Morning could certainly have done with an extra pair of hands to deal with the queue of people who were trying to check out (Management please note!) - but they were both very professional and courteous.
The bar is lovely but at 7.15 for a bacardi and coke I would recommend one of the local pubs or wine bars if you are planning a "session" Other than that Jury's is just perfect - I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Excellent stay. All staff efficient and helpful. Room small but had everything in it we needed. Was booked as a champagne break, unfortunately never did receive the champagne!! Full breakfast was excellent, but a little confusing on the first day we had to order what cooked breakfast you wanted from the waitress ,and the next day was a hot buffet to help yourself - some people who were on continental breakfast got charged for helping themselves to the hot buffet, system needs to be clarified. Was perfect location for We Will Rock You, Dominian Theatre - literally just around the corner. Would stay here again.

We stayed a Saturday night in December, the room was of a high quality and value for money. The hotel itselt looked very inviting and professional; a stunning building. A 3 min walk from Tottenham Court Rd tube, therefore very easy to get to and in a great location to view that part of London. Would stay there again.

This is the best hotel I've stayed in during a trip to London. It was literally a 3 minute walk to tottenham tube station, therefore easy access to all the main sites. Very good standard of accomadation and will definately be staying there again.
Did not eat at the hotel, but just to give you a quick guide an Irish coffee was 7, a little steep I thought even for London.

Nice hotel in a great location. Breakfast at 16 however was overpriced and there are plenty of alternative places to eat nearby.

We paid 79 for a room on Sunday night. Great Value and excellent location. But very expensive breakfast (16!). Instead eat in the Cafe across the the road for 3.90.

Excellent Location, friendly staff and brilliant building make this a great hotel. The bedroom was excellent - well equipped, good size, clean and smart. Prices are very reasonable for a hotel of this quality and location. Even the mini bar wasn't a rip off!!

Stayed at other Jury,s hotels but for the first time at Great Russell Street. We were very pleasantly surprised at the building and decor and the room itself was excellent. Would, and have, recommend this hotel to many of or friends as it is excellent value for money and very conveniently situated for theatres.
