Smart boutique hotel with central location

A fantastic hotel with a good central location. The staff were extremely helpful and smartly presented. The room was compact but well designed with all the requisite facilities. The room was clean, this was slightly marred by a couple of stains on the bed linen, however it was obvious these were old smears and it had been well laundered. A cracking place to stay and would be more than happy to stay again if we could get a similar deal.

Lovely hotel but very noisy!

Great accommodation for the price we paid on laterooms, nicely maintained rooms and decor but we were given a basement room and were awoken around 5am by some very noisy and heavy footsteps back and forth above our room in what we think was the reception or breakfast area. It was impossible to sleep or relax through it and was enough to ruin the experience since we only managed to get around 4hrs sleep before the noise began. No what we needed before a long day of intense business meetings! Would stay agin, but not below ground floor!

Beauchamp hotel

My stay at the Beauchamp hotel was very pleasant. The room was spacious, clean and airy. The beds were generous and comfortable providing a good night's sleep. The bathroom was adequate in size and the shower was invigorating and refreshing. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to other travellers offering good value for money in a central London location.

Creature comforts

We had a night to spend in London before catching the Eurostar, and the Beauchamp was the perfect place to do it. This was a late-offer, bargain price at which to drift from the comforts of the bathroom to the comforts of mindless telly, to the comforts of the bed. And in the morning, it was an easy walk through Russell Square to St Pancras. Buying into the extras (breakfast at £20 a pop) would have spoiled it, but if you bring your own chocolates and whiskey, this is a bargain treat.

Breakfast had not been an option when booking and went to eat elsewhere due to the prices. We were in a basement room, although the room very nice, it would not take much to tidy up the outside and make it more pleasant. Did not sleep well due to the constant footsteps which I assume was the reception overhead.

Nice hotel!- highly recommended

I didn't use many of their services but the two main ones were spot-on. The reception staff (all of them) were friendly, competent and professional. We should be able to take this for granted but all too often, sadly, we can't. The Beauchamp front office desk were great.
And my room was first rate; well appointed, clean, classy.

Spacious?

I have never stayed in so small a 'double' room. Quality was ok, but size was definitely not what it said on the tin! To be fair, we asked for a quiet room, and it was, with a view over gardens at the back. It had a glass exterior door leading to steps down to the garden , spoilt by the fact it was screwed closed, and shut off with a roller shutter, which the curtains didn't quite hide. Overall, it was enough not to ask for it to be changed, but for the money I expected better, even in this part of London.

Great value London hotel, reservation a mess

We stayed here for one night. We got upgraded to a suite which was a great bonus. Great value for this location and room standard. Our only issue was their reservation process - we got 3 seperate emails over 24 hours asking us to reconfirm our room or it would be cancelled - despite confirming it each time via email and a call. Nevertheless, great hotel, we'd stay again.
Location is great for British Museum - and about a 10 mins walk from Russel Square tube through the nice park.

Superb location

The Beauchamp (pronounced Beach-am, btw) was clean and attractive although our room was very small. However, the staff worked very hard to help us and make us happy; we were told initially that the wifi was by room rather than by device and when we were charged per device they disappeared those charges without delay. They were helpful with maps and directions to restaurants as well. The location is ideal--two blocks form the British Museum and within walking distance of the British Library and three tube stops. If you're interested in the egg-head tour of London, this is an excellent place to do it from.

A really delightful hotel in a fantastic central location but also very quiet as located in a quiet street. Our first floor room far exceeded expectation. was spacious and had a lovely view of the central communal garden. Very close to the British Museum, Covent Garden, theatre land and main shopping areas. A lot of small independent restaurants close by offering all types of cuisine at affordable prices. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and if returning to London would certainly stay here again.

An excellent hotel in a quiet location but within 5 mins in a taxi to Piccdilly Circus

We booked this hotel for a short break with two young children (9 & 4) It was in a quiet street with a lovely park. Took only 5 minutes in a taxi to get to Piccadilly Circus or Leicester Sqaure but you could prob walk it in about 10 - 15 mins. We had a family room which was very spacious with two double beds and a sofa bed if it was needed, spotlessly clean. Only downside was the price of the breakfast, but McDonalds is never far away (5 mins walk).

Understated luxury

Great location and handy to so many services.
Lots of competition but beats them hands down on price and value for money.
Obliging staff and everything happens with a minimum of fuss.
Comfortable room with all you could want (perhaps too many cushions for decoration?)
Good hot shower over bath with clear panels instead of shower curtain.
Enjoyed my continental breakfast.

Theatre Trip

We booked this hotel for a theatre trip (Chicago at the Cambridge) and were very pleased with our choice. Upon arrival we received a free upgrade to a junior suite. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were at the front of the building; if you are a light sleeper, traffic noise could wake you up in the morning. Having said that; overnight it was very quiet. The hotel was within easy walking distance of the tube and Covent Garden. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. All in all, a very enjoyable stay :-)

Quiet And Secluded

The hotel is nice, its location is excellent and we had a garden facing room so it was very quiet as bedford place (the road its on) is quite busy so we are glad we didnt get a road side room. The staff were attentive, polite and courteous I was more than impressed with the service. However the room was disappointing. The bathroom was tiny tiny tiny, the toilet didnt work correctly, the bed just had enough room to walk around it and the tv remote didnt work (and took 2 days to sort) they promised a paper each morning but we never got it even though they said they had given us one, the room was never cleaned on the first day of our stay so we ended up making the bed ourselves. Oh and if you are unfortunate and get room 207 take some earplugs because if the couple in the room above were at it you would definately know about it, sunday morning 7:30, thankfully he didnt last for long. In summary, nice hotel, room disappointing so take my advice and go for the next up from a superior, it will pay dividends trust me.

If all you want is a room, it's OK I guess!

After seeing the pictures and the description as a deluxe double we thought we had hit on a bargain for our 3 night stay. It was pretty easy to get to and looked OK from the outside. Hotel staff were friendly enough but that was all. We are both over 6" and hung off the edge of the bed. The room was nothing like the pictures as there was very little room to get round the bed. Shower on 2 of the 3 mornings was luke warm water. However was clean and if all your looking for is some where to lay your head it was OK, but not for us!

Lovely room but available for a reason!

We visited the hotel during a short weekend visit to London. The hotel is ideally situated for the West end and the centre of town. The hotel is clean and tidy and the rooms well apportioned. The room we were allocated was located directly below the reception which has a wooden floor the receptionists in hig heels csan easily be heard in this room (room 12) however with a set of earplugs we slept superbly. Alll in a very pleasant experience and a good price considering the position.

Great Long Weekend

We stayed from Friday to Monday and basically used the room as a base for our trips around London, so we did not actually eat at the hotel (there is so much choice for food in town). The hotel was in a good location for walking to from Euston Station, close to Russel Square tube station and walkable to Oxford Street for shopping. The room was comfortable, air conditioned and very tidy but a little small.

Pleasant and convenient

Location was convenient to most areas (Russell Sq) and a short walk from the tube. Receptionist checked me in early, with a witty Bond quip (room 007). Small leak in the hotel meant I had a complimentary upgrade to a suite (or option to take a single with breafast). Room was spacious and equipped, with a good shower and suitable working space. Internet was £10 of 24 hours, which was a little steep, however it was quicker than others. All in all, I would stay here again at the sub £100 I paid.

Quality room, plenty of space, good clean hotel, and very friendly and helpful staff. As a seasoned business traveller always looking for bargins to sit in the magic £100-130 region in London (to sit within expenses policy) I can say this was another excellent find. The hotel was well situated and central for our weekend trip to London.
The family rooms are all on the lower ground floor, slightly below pavement level, so the room views were limited but the facilities were all well maintained and clean.

A good base, recommended for central London trip, if you have a small family.
We didn't have any food there. Cheaper alternatives were available locally, which was our plan anyway.
