We had said to the hotel that we arrived late because our flight had been changed. And, the same day, we suffered a delaiy in the flight of almost 90 minutes. That's why we arrived at 2.30AM. I phoned to the hotel when we were leaving the Luton Airport to explain our situation. At the end, we paid 16 pounds more for this and for me it's completely unfair. We shoould have paid 302 pouns instead of 318.

The room was below the standard advertised. For the cost, I was disappointed. The heating was poor and the bathroom so small that bathing was difficult. Internet was not present as advertised. I was told that reception was poor in the rooms and one had to use the restuarant.

Did exactly what I wanted. Much more character and friendliness than the impersonal Travelodge type alternatives. Very comfy bed; only quibble was the shower could have been warmer in the morning.

Friendly and helpful staff. The room was large and airy, despite being at the top of the building. It was clean but the decor was a little tired and needed minor maintenance. The bathroom was bright and shiny.Only negative thing was cooking smells (even on third floor) on arrival and late evening.

Lovely little hotel, friendly reception, great location for west end. The only downside was trying to get the shower to give a temperature other that scolding or freezing, but this was a minor point as the room was a good size and very clean (they even came and cleaned the room/made the beds during the day). Would definately stay there again.

For the price it was fine but it is a very simple place with a lot of stairs. The room was clean but the bed spread was dusty and/or impregnated with paint.

First time at this hotel. Basement room which I don't like but at least it was a double bed unlike my previous hotel booking... and three other single beds to chose from. Heating excellent.Standard London fare. Well used, not maintained, not solid at all. Also no way to lock the door on the inside which was a bit worrying especially as the door, under lock, moved a good 1/4-1/2inch when locked.

Situated in Bloomsbury, just 5 minutes walk from the British Museam this hotel is in a great central location and is really good value for money - we paid £90 a night for two including breakfast - in central London this is difficult to beat. Oxford Street and the West End are about 15 minutes walk and the Underground is close by. Breakfast was very good and all the staff and owners are really friendly and helpful. The bedroom was fine, the bed comfy and there was plent of hot water. My only comment - and this isn't a complaint - is that the place could do with a bit of a repaint to freshen it up and a bit of a refurb of the carpets - it's a bit tired. Otherwise I'd certainly recommend that you consider this hotel for your stay in London.

Very friendly, clean, comfortable hotel. Room fairly basic, but fine for a single businessman needing little more than somewhere to lay his head, shower and shave.Good breakfast too!

Nice hotel, friendly staff and clean including the bedding, towels etc. The hotel was warm and comfortable. If I had any criticism at all it is that the room I stayed in is getting ready for refurbishment but I would stay again.

A clean and recently decorated room, with comfortable bed and fully refurbished shower room, was waiting when I checked in. It was a bit cool, but that was because sensibly the radiator thermostat had been turned down to save energy while the room was empty - moving the radiotor valve to a higher setting soon warmed the room to a cosy temperature . The staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was freshly cooked. If you want somewhere warm, clean and friendly without frills or pretensions, and at a reasonable price for London, this is a place to consider seriously.

Very friendly management at this budget London hotel. Excellent location - loads to see and do nearby. Very good breakfast. The only drawback is that some of the (16) rooms have not yet been renovated. My first night was in a sad, dingy little room on the top floor (room 11). Very uncomfortable single bed - pokey little bathroom. In the morning I asked to be moved and was given a clean, bright, small renovated room on the first floor (room 3). Overall very good - but choose your room carefully.

Very convenient location, attractive building, good breakfast. Bedding rather uncomfortable because the blankets were too small. Other than that, would recommend this hotel at the price.

Excellently located in the heart of Bloomsbury, this is a small town house hotel. I stayed in the 'single room for single person' - and it is. At the top of the three storey building it was a garret room with a tiny shower and single bed. Having said this, it was clean, warm and comfortable, and reasonable value - though could do with a little refreshing - wallpaper starting to peel and cracked sink. Service was great.

Great location. Clean and tidy with a comfortable bed and adequate bathroom. Shower was a bit small and the floorboards creaked but it was good enough. Fairly expensive but the location made up for it. Some parking outside and a big very secure carpark within walking distance.

Great value hotel in central London. Approx 5 minutes walk from Tottenham Court Road station, in a road with plenty of similar townhouse hotels. I stayed in room 17 in the basement (it had a window though!!). The only small complaint was that I could hear the rumblings of a tube train beneath the hotel. I expect this wouldn't be a problem on other floors. Not a big deal though. Room was clean and spacious, but not as modern as a Travelodge-type hotel - perfectly OK for the price though. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order. Would stay again, particularly for the location.

I had a large room on the ground floor, good shower, nice clean room, comfy bed, no traffic noise at all. There are plenty of good restaurants within 5 mins walk.It was also good to get a radiator where you can adjust to the right temperature - all the way from cold to boiling hot as required. The only downer for me was that breakfast did not officially start until 07:45. You could get cereal and a drink from 7:30ish, but not a cooked breakfast until later. As I had a long journey I was making an early start. I will definitely stop here again as long as I don't have to leave too early in the morning.

I let the hotel know that I would arrive late they advised they shut up shop for the night at midnight. As I could not get there at that time the receptionist offered to wait, kind of him. I kept him informed as midnight approached and he helped me unload my very large amount of kit from my car for safe storage even though it was almost 00.30 hrs. He helped me carry luggage to my room up three flights of stairs. There is no lift. The room was very small and basic but clean and the single bed was fairly comfortable. London hotel prices are crazy so with that as a reference bench mark the price was low. The breakfast was pretty good and included in the price. I was helped with my huge amount of kit when leaving. The hotel is fairly central so will be convenient for lots of visitors. The hotel does not have secure parking although I gather there is a NCP locally, Street parking seems to be residents only. All in all a good experience.
