Nice but expensive, would use again
Summary
This is a beautifully situated discreet looking town house hotel. The reception is suitably posh and the room I had was a complete joy. It was very well adapted for purpose but looked and felt like luxury. Even at a reduced price the cost felt hefty but in my view worth it as a treat.
A word of warning; the breakfast (of whatever description) is poor quality and simply not worth it. You will be able to get much more choice - and more breakfast too - in any one of the diverse range of local cafes for about half the price of that on offer in the hotel.
Excellent base for visiting London, central location but nice and quiet. Half price deal on evening meal taken during August was good value. Staff were excellent with nothing too much trouble.
Summary
Really enjoyed my stay here and got the impression that nothing was too much trouble. As a smoker I thought the cigar lounge was fantastic. The staff were friendly and approachable. Only one critisiam was the service charge added to room bill which I have never seen before. If I had wanted to tip the cleaning staff I would've chosen to in the traditional way.
Summary
You would find it difficult to find a better hotel than this one, one of the nicest i have stayed in and the staff were excellent, would recommend every time
Summary
This is a great place to stay with compact but stylish rooms and a small dining room serving very approachable food. I have stayed here a number of times but noticed on my last room account that the hotel is adding a 'service charge' onto the room account when you check out. This is over and above your room rate. It's a pity to spoil such a good hotel with what I consider to be a questionable practise. I hope they see the light.
Summary
This hotel is an excellent location for me but it is generally well placed for most locations in London. The rooms are lovely and beds very very comfortable.
Summary
It was a beautiful hotel, clean and cosy only gripe is that they referred to me as a man twice without even meeting me, strange.
