I booked this hotel as it was close to the theatre that we were going to as a treat for my wife for our anniversary. We arrived early and they were more than helpful to park our car store our luggage until the room was ready, as it happened the room was ready and we were upgraded to a mini suite with garden views. They brought our luggage up for us and sorted out a taxi to take us to the theatre. They were there with umbrellas as it was raining and when we checked out the car was brought round and the luggage was loaded in the car for us and they then opened the car door for my wife which she was very impressed with ( I think she would like this 5 star treatment all the time)

At £23.50 for a buffet breakfast i would have liked the food to be hot and not dried up. The coffee was also cold. £37 for parking overnight on a Saturday come on .

Having stayed in hotels worldwide for over years...
Having stayed in hotels worldwide for over 25 years it was really refreshing to stay in a London hotel that I rank as one of the best I have stayed in. An upgrade to a suite was really nice but it was the attitude and friendly efficiency of the staff that made the difference. Typically Swiss efficiency with a friendly 'want to help' approach.

Booked the Howard as part of a surprise for my wife. I contacted the hotel the day before to explain the occassion and see if there was anything they could do in way of an upgrade etc. On arrival and whole stay all the staff were excellent and very curteous. When checking in, the girl on reception said we had been upgraded to the Presidents suite overlooking the Thames(Very nice!!) and wished us happy anniversary. As well as that, we were presented with a plate by room service which had delicious chocolates and a hand made Happy Anniversay note made in chocolate. We had an excellent experience at the Howard and they did some lovely things (room upgrade, chocolates) which were not expected and which they did not have to do. It made it even more special. Many thanks to all the staff at the Howard. Also the bar is very relaxing for late drinks!!!!

Really good location, amazing views across the Thames. My only gripe is that for the price it should really include a continental breakfast! Other than that, lovely and would recommend for location and views alone.

i was disappointed when my colleague informed me that the hotel did not have his name in the reservation (both rooms which I booked at the same time via laterooms website.) THe problem was solved because there were sufficient rooms available. Hope this will not happen again.

We were given a room with a shower but no bath initially, but on calling reception and asking for a different room and my husband explaining that it was my birthday and I desperately wanted a relaxing bath, they managed to find us an alternative room with a bath. We were pleasantly surprised to be given a complimentary voucher for a cocktail or champagne in the bar for our inconvenience! We had a great stay here. We slept like logs in the enormous comfy bed and will definitely be back for a future visit as soon as we can.

The standard and comfort of the room was outstanding. We had a room overlooking the river and the view addd to the experience. Staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Good location. A premium price but worth every penny and as such I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We only stayed for one night, but the hotel was excellent in all respects. Reception are highly professional and helpful (thanks Renate). Rooms were great quality. This hotel is a class better than a lot of London hotels that we have used in the past few years, but was cheaper than the rest.

The room was ample with good amenities and very comfortable bed. It was the view of the Thames that really made the stay sensational.Upon arrival staff were friendly but not particularly knowledgable about the local area and a late night drink seemed to flumox the concierge who wasn't even sure what lager was??Overall a great place to stay with good access to some great London sites.
