Very friendly and polite staff, free wi-fi in the room, clean, tidy and right in the heart of London. I'll definitely be staying there again. The food was excellent, if you're looking for somewhere central to stay for a good price, I would highly recommend this one.

Second stay here, good value, rooms very clean, great for lone females as plenty of places to eat inside the hotel and on the doorstep.

Staff were pleasant and efficient and apologised for wait as huge queue when we arrived
Had usual query over payment as room had been booked through an agency and no one seemed to know if they had taken payment or if we had to but receptionist sorted it out next morning.

The Strand Palace Hotel was an excellent choice for ourselves because this was our first trip to London and not being sure where everything is situated we could not have picked a better situated hotel for the train station for tubes for theaters for landmarks. From this base we were able to walk around Covent Garden, Trafalgar and Leicester Squares,Embankment, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben St Paul's, Fleet St, Chinatown,and even Buckingham Palace .
The service was outstanding, we arrived for check in behind a group of Asian tourists, this was noticed immediately and we were moved to a new line to be booked in as single bookings. The Room was of medium size, not small and not huge but plenty of room and the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. Tea and Coffee making facilities were replenished within a minute of asking for more milk and we were on the eighth floor! There was also a very handy Ironing Room on our floor too. We booked breakfast as well as the room and again 10/10 there was everything you could have wanted from a buffet style cooked breakfast plus toast and croissants, fresh fruit and much more. Our One and only criticism would be the Carvery Restaurant, the staff again were excellent but the food was not of a standard to call it a carvery it was a real disappointment, the pudding was lovely we both had different things one the crumble the other Eton mess and both were delicious. We would completely and without hesitation recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again ourselves.

The rooms are comfortable and well appointed and the hotel is ideally placed for visits to the theatre and opera houses.
There was small issue with cleanliness of the bathroom but this was a housekeeping issue which I am sure they will address..

Booked accommnodation for New Years Eve as close to several viewing points for fireworks. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Good hotel with excellent facilities - comfortable room and beds. 12.00 checkout very welcome! Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as those at hotel. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.

Only criticism I have is the "Pyrex " glasses used in the restaurant for cocktails. They would not look out of place in a school but not what you would expect in a London hotel. If I had ordered a cocktail it would have been sent back. Everything else I couldn't find fault with. Perfect location for New Year's eve and excellent value for money. Hope to visit again soon.

We had an enjoyable stay in a great hotel and brilliant location. We booked a meal in the Strand carvery which was excellent value and would recommend. We also booked breakfast which was well organised and there was plenty of choice. Would definitely stay there again.

I booked last minute for New Years Eve and expected a grotty room for the amount I paid. However the room was immaculate and the linen crisp and clean. A nice selection of soaps etc in the bathroom too. I was very surprised and certainly would stay here again without hesitation.

Beautifully clean. Would have liked a chain and spyhole on the door (lone female). Whilst not, in anyway essential, a hair-dryer with a diffuser would have been nice! Maybe teabags aswell as coffee in room, if possible? And a spare towel or a heated towel rail so the wet towel from evening shower would be dry for the morning shower? Thank-you
