Summary
The staff were excellent, the room nice. The hotel is a little tired, could do with new floor coverings and painting with good quality paint. Great location and the room was very quiet.
Summary
Not quite what I would consider 5 star but service, food and location were excellent.
Summary
Very nice hotel centrally based for everything.
Its about time the owners recognised the impractical bedroom designs and backed up what the have as an incredible staff team.
Summary
In terms of customer service, this hotel is about the best I've stayed at in the UK. Aesthetically, the hotel and its rooms are stunning. The bathroom, and especially the shower were fantastic. Only downside is the sound proofing in the rooms. Lots of noise/loud music from the bar downstairs, which travelled up to the 2nd floor where I was staying. And noise from rooms either side of mine was pretty bad. Wouldn't stop me from staying there again, though. This will certainly be my first choice of hotel when I next come to London. Great location, great staff, fantastic restaurant etc etc. But my advice to anyone staying here would be to request a room higher up. Hopefully the music from the bar doesn't travel all the way up the building!
Summary
Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. We left belongings behind and they were returned to us very efficiently. We will return
Summary
Superior room no bigger or better than standard room. For this much cash some semblance of a suite is required -ie sofa, chairs coffee table. However great bed, bathroom and location. Foyer top drawer.
Summary
I have stayed at many hotels in London but in future will always try to stay here.
The bedrooms are immaculate in style, functionality and cleanliness.
Service subliminal but superb.
Location perfect for all trips, tubes, theatres etc.

Summary
Unusual hotel but despite booking through laterooms overpriced for what the room gave us - it was very small. Our room rate did not include breakfast and at £25 per head felt this was also outrageously overpriced - no wonder the dining room was empty the next morning!
However, the room did have all the necessities - except tea/coffee making facilities which would have been nice.
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The service was remarkable. The room was quite small but had everything we needed. Love it here and will definitely stay again.

We loved London & especailly loved the St Martin Lane. The staff was kind & very helpful. The location is amazing!!! Couldn't ask for a better location. Our room was so beautiful, clean & perfect! I highly recommend staying there!
Summary
The hotel location in the heart of London is this hotel's greatest asset - you can walk everywhere.
John the assistant front office manager was welcoming and kindly upgraded us as it was our wedding anniversary.
But there is no getting away from the fact that this hotel is either a place you like or dislike - we found it peculiarly bland and soulless.
It is full of trendy beautiful people but is let down by the basics - absolutely nowhere comfortable to sit down in the bedrooms for instance, and no tea and coffee making facilities. The odd freestanding robot looking unit which holds minibar, TV and DVD takes up a lot of room, and the WC has gaps in the glass so that privacy is an issue when you are in the loo.
The minibar charges £5 for a small bottle of water and £2.95 for a Bounty bar - excessive even by London standards.
Breakfast is £23 pp - we went to Leicester Sq and had a lovely breakfast in Cafe Rouge by the tube station for a fraction of that.
Overall our room only rate of £370.13 seemed very expensive for what was on offer, but the staff we had contact with were nonetheless friendly and informal.
A great hotel, in a very handy location for Covent Garden. Not cheap, and the rooms aren't huge, but the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Minor niggles with the room, such as the catch on the toilet door not working, and the mood lighting switch being so complicated that previous unsuccessful attempts to operate it had presumably broken it.
The price for the room was the same, to the penny, on all of the so-called room discount web sites as well as the hotel's own site. Laterooms is clearly not providing the same sort of service as it used to, which is a disappointment.
From the stylish reception to the trendy all white room I felt very cool! The room was the average size for a Central London hotel. Everything was clean and worked so I was happy.
Summary
I have stayed at this hotel before as well as their hotles in New York on numerous occasions especially the Royalton and it's been excellent. So when i found a delux double normal price £600 for £240 on late rooms for my friend's brithday I was well chuffed. I booked to arrive at 3pm because we were going somewhere. When we got there a male receptionist told us our room was not ready as it was fashion week and their staff are busy. So it's seems because we got a deal on the room we didn't matter at all. We waited in reception for nearly one hour before i had to go and ask what happened as the male said he would tell me straight away. He had either forgotten us or didn't want to say why we couldn't go to the room he ignored the problem all the time with a huge smile on his face. I eventually found the female receptionist i had spoken to earlier in the week, as i had been in to upgrade to a superior studio and paid the extra money. She told me I wasn't getting now the studio I had been promised which i had viewed and she had been told by mangement to give it to someone else. So the reason we had to wait for this other room is that the carpet was being shampooed as we arrived and we couldn't go in it. i eventually said i don;t care if the carpet is wet we need to shower and change so they sent us to the room and it wasn't wet just filthy carpet with ash all over the floor and bits everywhere. In the night the air conditioning went and because of all the widows the room in the sunny morning was like an oven. We eventually got the engineer to come and fix it bit it still wasn't pumping out cold air. For all this trouble and being sent to the bottom of the list bec we were not from fashion week but from late rooms we got a bag of malteasers free and a drink each. Please print this for fellow late room users and i will also be sending this to the hotle.
Summary
Front desk very helpful and both young porters excellent.
Room disappointing for 5 star hotel, lighting whilst may suit some was dim and air conditioning seemed only to reach a low level.
Main disappointment was over bottled water. Now when you book a room for 2 adults in a 5 star hotel i expect 2 bottles of water complimentary each day of the stay. we received 1 and to add insult to injury i was charged £15 for 3 bottles of water that I alledgedly took from the mini bar, i didn't.
I rang them re this was promised a call back which never happened, very poor. To lose a customer who has spent £600 in accomodation and over £250 in the excellent hotel restaraunt (Asia de Cuba) over 3 bottles of water is very very shortsighted indeed.
We had a superiour room; great! nice room, nice service, great stay.
Summary
The hotel was amazing - very modern and beautifully designed interior. Because it was so smart, we expected the staff to be very snooty - but on the contrary, everyone was friendly and helpful, without exception.
Summary
Great location, great room, great staff.
Summary
This is a great hotel. The staff were very attentive and the room was one of the best I have stayed in. The location was so central we barely used the underground!
Summary
Very stylish, comfortable, contemporary hotel in a fantastic location for National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Westminster, Covent Garden etc. The staff made this hotel even more special- the receptionists, porters, consierge staff were so friendly, helpful and chilled out which makes a change from many of the off-hand, snooty staff encountered in some of the more "formal" hotels in London. Would definately stay there again.
