Can't fault the service or the room

Couldn't fault the service or the room. About the only thing that could be said is perhaps they need to sort the lift door that thinks it's in a comedy show taking 6 attempts to close fully!

Poor customer service

We were rung and told on the morning of our overnight stay that we had been charged as a no show even though we were in our room in the hotel ! it further transpired when we checked out that not only were we a no show but we had been charged for someone elses booking that the lady on customer services didn't think was a problem and at first wasn't prepared to do anything about

The twin room was on the small side but very clean and proved to be fine as we only needed a room for 1 night. The hotel is in a perfect position for the theatre as it literally just round the corner. The staff were friendly and efficient. i would definately stay again.

Slightly disappointing

Very good location but the room smelled slightly smoky and opening a window exposed me to loud noise from external air-conditioning or similar - which was on the loud side even with the window closed. Room was unpleasantly hot

Review of St Giles Hotel

Room was small and basic.
Functional for just one overnight stay, just about put up with it.
No point for electric shaver (basic requirement for a male business traveller who cannot take a wet razor on the flight to London!) - but keen to sell me an adaptor for £4

St Giles Hotel

Very small room next to Tottemham court road. It was very noisy until about 3.00am with pedestrians shouting. Terrific location though.

Charmless but well-located hotel with an amazing restaurant!

Receptionist ignored me for several minutes then sighed and beckoned me over, felt like being processed for a stay on remand rather than checking in to a 4* hotel. Room was poky, overwarm with no means of cooling, TV jammed into a cupboard on the wall, at an angle which made viewing impossible to all but contortionists - the screen was visible but could not be viewed from below so standing up was about the only option. Shower cubicle possibly the smallest I have ever been in, so much so it did make washing difficult. No curtains on room but aq (broken) blind in the middle of the two panes of double glazing which didn't keep out the blue floodlights they bathe the hotel with.
Restaurant Hakuba was a different proposition entirely - past a rather sad and decidedly low-rent chinese is an amazing Japanese Fusion restaurant - calming and beautifully decorated with private booths the sushi was made to order and reasonably priced and like nothing I've ever tasted. After 20 years of living in and visiting London this would easily make my top 3 restaurants. Stay elsewhere and try the food here !
