The St George Hotel is a privately owned establishment situated barely 500 yards north of Marble Arch on Gloucester Place. The road itself is a glorious confection of Georgian townhouses, with many like the St George, converted into B&B’s. The hotel is grade II listed which means that it retains a lot of period detail due to its architectural importance. But that doesn’t mean that modern comforts are forsaken. All the usual amenities and conveniences you would expect are in the rooms or available on request. Not that you would be spending much time in your room given the delights available to explore in the immediate area.
