We had a junior suite, which although more expensive included free wi-fi, free soft drinks from mini-bar, use of Club Millesime with drinks & canapés, & inclusive light breakfast; all in all good value for money. All staff were excellent-we couldn't connect our DVD player to the TV & someone came to help us within 3 minutes! Vivre restaurant had good choice for our family (2 teens; 12 & 14) and the service was great. Got up at 7.00, were checking in at terminal 5 by 8.00. Great way to start a holiday without tired, grumpy kids!

A wonderful nights sleep in a most comfortable bed. This was just what we needed the
night before our long haul flight. A great start to our holiday. We had a lovely meal and
very courteous attention from all hotel and restaurant staff.

A beautiful hotel and connected to Terminal 5 making this a very convenient location. There is no hotel shuttle to the terminals however and the Taxi is very expensive.

The hotel is of a high standard in every regard. The decor and facilities are first class as they should be in this cliss of hotel. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Prices are not cheap But as far as I know on a par with similar hoptels. I would certainly stay there again, but I don't normally reccomend to other people because tastes can be so different.

If you appreciate a heavenly bed, great egyptian cotton bedding and a hotel room that truly works, then this is the perfect hotel. Pity I only get to use it when I occassionaly pass by Heathrow terminal 5! Great staff and service also!

Best airport hotel I've stayed at

This is our 3rd stay at Sofitel heathrow. We absolutely love it. Everything is so clean & modern. All the staff are friendly & helpful. Perfect if your flying from terminal 5.

I booked a suite and was given a pretty basic one on the first floor; however, upon asking for a room on a higher floor with a view (to entertain my kids), we were upgraded to a very spacious and even more luxurious corner suite on the 3rd floor with the most fantastic view!!
I had to extend our stay from 2 nights to 4 and we stayed in the same lovely suite.
The cleaner spent a lot of time getting the suite cleaned just right and she would arrange the children's toys all neatly as well.
The bed was huge - all 3 of us could fit very comfortably with teddies and pillows inbetween us to avoid kicks!
The food in La Vivre at dinner was really delicious; breakfast was standard.
The business lounge was also great for snacks and for some quiet reading.
Overall, a great place to stay prior to catching a flight - it was quite easy to get to London for day trips as well.
Wish it was a little cheaper but then five star doesn't come cheap......

It's pricey, but then Terminal 5 passengers don't have a lot of choice if they want to be round the corner. Having said that it's well run and the rooms are nicely done. The beds are very comfortable with good linen. La Vivre restaurant was surprisingly good - both service and quality of the food well above expectations.

When my husband was leaving and requested car park exit the receptionist expressed shock that my husband was staying in the hotel when he was dressed for his line of work. People should be treated with respect regardless of their profession. This individual spoilt the rating for this review. If this hotel was not in such a convenient location I would not stop here again in fear of how may be treated someday

Sofitel Heathrow provided an excellent breathing space during European trip. Bonus was the spa facility and also the outstanding French Brasserie (Albert Roux endorsed). Location is linked with Terminal 5 so best to organise a taxi to connections from other terminals.

Well situated hotel, luxury room ,well presented and excellent customer service. would definately visit again .

Although very expensive the convenience outweighed the cost and we decided to stay the night before our flight.
We were both pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The service outstanding and overall a very enjoyable stay. All other English hotels could learn a lot from this hotel on how to provide customer service.
Then again this hotel cost as much for one night as my hotel abroad did for 3 nights !

Hotel couldn't be more convenient for T5. Staff friendly, breakfast excellent, nice ambience.

I find the Sofitel at T 5 very good and conveinent especially if passing thru T 5 and breaking a flight.

I always stay here on the way off somewhere, as then I don't have to worry about traffic/delays. You are right there in the airport, ready to go. The rooms are of a very high standard and the bathrooms have a tub and also a walk in shower. Once, my bathroom even had a tv in it!! Flat screen tv of course and a little area for making tea or coffee. It's a shame breakfast isn't included because it would be good to grab a quick bite before check-in and the lounges. Would still stay there though!

Service and attention is un matched, food quality at times was of concern and availability of a good coffee was questionable otherwise briliant service 9/10

On holiday in Austria i called the hotel to confirm the booking,they said i had to ring back at 7am the following morning and speak to Reservations. I called the next morning and it took some time for my booking to be confirmed. I said that i had booked through 3rd party and had paid for Breakfast which she confirmed. When we went for Breakfast we were not on the Breakfast list and were told that we would have to pay. Eventually the Supervisor came and apologised and said that this had been sorted out with Reception. When we went to Reception to check out we were still informed that Breakfast was not included in the Booking. After some time and disagreements and after showing the Reception Supervisor the Reservation Booking on my Blackberry which included Breakfast she still was not happy,even after i had explained and went and got the Breakfast supervisor who had told us that everything had been sorted. I still am not certain if we will have to pay for Breakfast as i have received in the post a Baclaycard receipt for £204.72.

Great hotel when you're traveling internationally and don't have much time in London.

Fantastic - just glad I wasn't paying the full price!
