Shaftesbury Paddington Hotel Reviews

Good location-close to underground station, convenient to most place in London but a little noisy at night as my room faces to main road. My room is a little small but very clean and tidy. I still think that the price is a little high based on the hotel location and room quality.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Hotel staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. Others could learn a lot about how to manage a hotel by watching how these guys operate! A genuine pleasure to have been there and I would definitely go again

Very good value for money in a central location.
It is difficult to imagine how small the single rooms are, though, and one has to be prepared for the 'cupboard' feeling. Well laid out and bathroom is elegant. Quality of bed isn't great.

Very good location. Staff is friendly. Got a special rate. Just bad luck that the lift was out of service and I was staying on the 5th floor. The room I had is a bit small. The window is not properly sealed so you can hear the traffic and it was a cold day so the cold draft got in. It's Ok to stay one night. If I would come back to this hotel, it would only be for the location and the special rate.

Probably the smallest hotel room in the world... but it was clean and well decorated with a nice shower.
The hotel is very central also conveniently located near public transport.
Fantastic to be able to park your car safely just outside of the hotel building.

Very clean and very small rooms.

I returned to my room late on my first night and found water coming through the ceiling. This was dealt with quickly and efficiently and I was moved to another room.
Car parking had been paid for. THE HOTEL NEED TO CLEARLY MARK THOSE PARKING SPACES THAT BELONG TO THEM!!! Busybody neighbours clearly have an arrangement with clamping companies and report to them within minutes of your arrival. Clamping company attend within twenty minutes to clamp - but take three plus hors to return to release it. BE WARNED!! This is a major failing with the hotel. They should ensure that a space is available - if thety have taken money for such to be provided.

We booked a Club Double room and paid a little extra. The room was a good size with a very large bed and sofa and coffee table as well as a desk. We had a flat screen TV and microwave. The bathroom was small but contemporary with a great bath and very nice bath products. Breakfast was good in a very pleasant dining room. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We just didn't get the promised extras from the upgrade (bed turn down with chocolates, fruit and wine). Overall a very pleasant stay and brilliant location so close to Paddington station and tube. The terrace was quiet and set back from the road.

Tv not working but much more importantly room o/s main entrance and lift - very noisy - woken by each person returning to the hotel overnight and in morning - for £140 per night I would expect better
