They upgraded us to a Club room for free!
Awesome hotel! Definately stay at again, staff were nice and room was great. Really clean and they upgraded us for free to a club room which has a bedroom and living room across 2 floors! Great stay :)

Great location decent sized room
Overall the stay at the shaftsbury was a good one, we had a good sized room and a very comfortable bed, also the shower was humongous and washing condiments were lovely. we only had single glazed windows and the heating did not work so it was a very cold night late January. but as we were happy with the room we did not make a fuss for fear of downgrading. the staff were very welcoming and happy to help.

A Little Disappointed!
No way should this be rated as a four star hotel. The room and bathroom were tiny. The desk was worn out. The window was draughty. The shower was cold on two occasions. The bedspread was stained and grubby. A good location though.

Pleasant hotel but strange room layout
A small but pleasant executive room on two floors, but the bedroom floor and bathroom were very compact. Layout strange for business use - with desk & chair etc on a different floor to the internet access point, so not workable for business use. Could be easily solved by making wireless available in rooms or by moving the internet access point. Good value for money in London and close to railway station and restaurants in Notting Hill.

Was originally allocated a room on 6th floor but lift out of action so relocated to ground floor. Room spacious but noisy in early morning, located behind reception area and must have been near kitchen. Good location for Paddington and Lancaster Gate Tube Stations.
