Excellent location. We strolled back from the theatre and had a couple of drinks in the roof garden which appears to be open 24 hours. Oh and it was remarkably noise free for a west end hotel.
Summary
Great location. Fantastic service! Beautiful room. The 24h hot tub was a great added extra.
Summary
This is one on the best hotels we have stayed in for location and style. It is right in the heart of Soho by the blues bar, but on a quiet side street so not to noisy. The concierge dressed in a dapper bowler hat was an absolute joy!! He showed us around, and I must say we were quite blown away for the price we paid for the room! They have a cinema in the basement that you can use anytime... to watch eastenders or whatever takes your fancy, a roof top bar with a heated plunge pool, which turns into a club at night. The hotel only has 30 odd rooms to it is really cosy and intimate, whilst the rooms are luxe and spacious. We had dinner in the restaurant which was divine and very reasonably priced. The drinks were quite pricey, but they were all 50ml (doubles) so we let them off!! All in all a FAB hotel choice and we can't wait to go back. We stay in London an awful lot and would be hard pushed to find a better hotel.
Summary
Lovely hotel ideally located for our needs. The staff were very courteous on reception and a quirky guy in a bowler hat showed me to my room, he gave all the relevent info in an entertaining fashion! We stayed one night and as it was pouring down we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant which turned out to be a good choice. The service, food and the wine was great, plus the prices surprisingly reasonable for a 5 star hotel in central London. We also visited the 24 hour rooftop bar, the barman here was not of the same calibre as the other hotel staff.
Summary
Fantastic!!! What else is there to add? The Staff are very attentive and efficient. The room was great and very well designed. Can't get any closer to the midle of town yet still have peace and quiet. The highlight has to be the rooftop bar and Jacuzzi. Cant wait to come back - Its now the only place to stay when we come to London - Just dont tell anyone else!!!!
Summary
The Hotel was excellent. Very friendly, helpful and courteous.
Room was lovely.
Only drawback for us was that there was no hospitality (Bar but no tea or coffee) in the room.
Breakfast was expensive but so well prepared you didnt mind paying.
We would stay there again. no problem.
This is really an upmarket gues house, fantastic rooms and great ambience.Low on facilities ,but hey you are not here for that, like staying at a cool friends house....not for the business traveller or those wanting Pool and Gym......
Summary
The location of Sanctum is excellent however the room itself was a bit of a let down size wise and bathroom was a bit institutional. The roof top bar a lovely feature but we were disappointed that it stopped serving at 11.30 on a Sunday night, went back up the road to bar on corner called Gem worth a visit.
Summary
I was in London for a quick business trip and needed a hotel in this area. Sanctum was a great solution for the money. Perfect location - within walking distance of great shopping, food and sites to see.... Provided a unique accomodation experience, rather than just staying at a chain hotel. Staff was very nice. Rooms were great.... and my most important criteria was excellent... THE BED! Great choice and not expensive for the area.
Summary
Good points: - Reception staff friendly on arrival, great location, quirky decor gave it personality, we were upgraded to a more expensive room, bar on the roof fantastic to carry on celebrating which is why we were there. Curtains made room amazingly dark so we got to lie in!
Bad points: 1) No coffee making facilites in room. 2) On arrival back to our hotel after a meal out we were told "sorry guys, you can't come in here, guests only"- possibly should have asked if were staying first?! As we were?! 3) Large picture of Judge Jules underwater in reception!!?? Judge Jules?! Might want to contemporise that a bit...
If you book through late.com it's a little misrepresentative as the savings that you think you are making isn't actually a fair representation. I thought I was getting a room worth £300 but in fact I was getting the 'crash room' which is at a standard rate of £180 + vat if you book direct with the hotel anyway. The hotel also informed me that this was a common issue that people had raised with them when booking through this website. Just to warn you the 'crash room' is very very small to the point that your wardrobe is two hooks on a wall! Location is good but I've stayed in hotels near this location and got more value for my money.
Summary
Arrived by car and concierge could not have been more helpful, even moving his own car to leave us a parking space. Junior Suite was fantastic with bath in the room, separate shower and everything that you could ask for. Definitely try the rooftop hot tub even if it is -5 outside. Really relaxed, great location for shopping, bars and restaurants of Soho and West End. Would go back tomorrow!
Summary
Excellent 'crash pad' - location fabulous and room lovely. Small but perfectly formed! Service was efficient & very friendly, had a real 'small hotel' feel in terms of welcoming. Room modern & contemporary, wet room was ideal for our short stay. No complaints at all!
Summary
Great room for the price and ideally located for what I needed. My only issue was that the air conditionaing was not working and so I ended up with a very hot room, managed to open the windows a small amount but then had to deal with the early morning noise / traffic of central London.
Lovely small (only 30 rooms) hotel, on the edge of Soho, I would stay there again, perfect size room, great wet room, overall very comfortable.
I took my 12 year old daughter for a night away in London. She was made vary welcome by the staff and loved the trendy exclusive atmosphere - The location was great - near to theatres and shopping but off the high street. I usually stay at the Sandrson but if I'm looking for a more intimate hotel I would definitely recommend this hotel .
Summary
Reception and concierge very friendly, the room was beautifully presented, clean, well maintained.
Excellent location, service is the restaurant could be improved.
