Correct hotel for a weekend

All the services we expect are provided : en-suite room, free wifi and breakfast included. The breakfast is totally enough for a continental breakfast : there is everything we need, cheese, jams, cereals, fruits...and it is good! Maybe there are hotels that would offer better value for money but in London it hardly seems possible..

Comfortable and very good value

I've stayed in several budget hotels in the Earl's Court area and this was the best value of them. It wasn't fussy but it was clean and comfortable; breakfast was basic but fine. There are no lifts so this could be a problem for some, especially as there are many steps and the flight to the second floor is slightly uneven. Overall I was very happy with my stay and would stay again, especially at the Late Rooms price.

Superb!!!

I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend! I was very surprised at the quality of the hotel for the price we paid. The room had all the hallmarks of a proper hotel room - big screen TV, magazines to read, tea and coffee making facilities. I have absolutely no complaints about the room. Superb. The breakfast was good, a good selection of cereals and unlimited toast, cheese, juice, coffee, tea etc. Definitely would stay there again!! Thank you!

Give this place a miss! Fawlty Towers was at least funny - this place isn't.

Where to start......
Having to climb four flights of stairs with heavy luggage without any offer of help is not the best welcome for your guests.
A double room usually means a room with a double bed which can be accessed from both sides, not a single room with a double bed in it which means I had toi climb over my partner to get into and out of bed. When we asked if we could move the receptionist said that all the doubles were that size. Sheets without holes in would have been a nice touch we thought.
Towels should be provided for two occupants, not one. When a guest asks politely for another towel that request should not be ignored by the surly receptionist so that the guest has to ask again a day later.
Hotels should not lock their front door during the day and put a "back in 5 minutes" notice on the door.
Breakfast starts at 8.00 by which time I would have expected the useless woman to have already been to the Co-op to buy the bread rather than make us go without. Then when she came bvack from shopping she stood upstairs nattering to the receptionist with the bread in her carrier bag! When and if there is any bread available then perhas the owners could invest in a couple of toasters that actually work. Never seen a large bowl of cream crackers at a breakfast buffet before! Massive uncovered bowl of yogurt was a health hazard.
Fellow guests from Australia complained that their toilet cistern wouldn't flush and the hotel had refused to fix it.
Unfortunately most staying here won't read this as they're foreign tourists booked a part of a package, but if you have a choice..... Don't stay here.
One last word.... I have now learnt never ever to pay the bill on arrival before seeing the room. We felt trapped.

One night business stay in London

Similar to reviews written about Trebovir and London Town - clean, pleasant staff and for London at £100 per night ok. Anywhere other than London - tiny room, tiny bathroom, limited breakfast. Had a particularly noisy room - could hear people next door, squeaky floorboards - room in group of 4 cramped together.

Clean, reasonable accommodation handy to Earls Court

A colleague/friend and I stayed at The Rushmore Hotel for two nights. It was absolutely fine - but nothing to get too excited about. Staff were neither helpful or rude, and room was clean but chintzy. Beds were comfortable. Shower was good. There was free wifi.
Best thing about it: handy to Earl's Court tube station and pubs/restaurants
Worst thing about it: no lifts! We were on the third floor and had lots of bags, so it was a complete slog to get things to our rooms. Also the breakfasts didn't start til 8am, which is too late if you are on business as we were - so we didn't have breakfast either day.

Good value - terrific location

For a short stay in Kensington this is a good place. It is around the corner from Earl`s Court Station so you are in Piccadilly in 4 Underground stops.
The hotel is clean. The rooms large. No air conditioning but there are high ceilings and ceiling fans. The hotel has few amenities but it is a great location. So if you will be out and about most of the time this is a good place to lay your head.

Nice Little Hotel in a Great Location

A very attractively furnished hotel in the middle of the Earls Court area, just a three minute walk from Earls Court Underground Station and the high street, which features a number of restaurants and supermarkets. The room and en-suite was very clean and well equipped; we even had our own shared balcony looking out over the backgardens. The bed too was comfy; although the walls did seem a little thin. The hotel is built into a typical Edwardian Street, and looks quite beautiful from the outside. The location is absolutely fantastic, as it's just a short tube ride into central London. Recommended.

A warm welcome

Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was warm and comfortable. TV remote did not work (no back on it and batteries held in with selotape) and had to work the TV off the set. Told the staff it did not work and they said it had to be pointed at the set and held (which I had tried), they did say someone would come up and show me, but could not be bothered with that. Picture bad on some channels. Nice hot shower. Breakfast adequate. Hotel in quiet back street off main road, lots of shops and places to get food nearby. Comfortable stay, staff very friendly.

Good quiet hotel for short stopover

The hotel is well located being very close to Earls Court tube station but in a quiet street. The rooms are very clean, fairly small but adequate for an overnight stay and the key point had a very comfortable bed. The ensuite shower was miniscule - around 600mm square so it is not easy to get showered properly but at least the shower was very clean and fully tiled as was the rest of the ensuite. The breakfast room in the airy rear garden glass roofed extension was very pleasant and the contintental breakfast was buffet style with a good choice of cereals, fruit, baguette, bread, cheese, madeira cake, fruit juices etc.

A very pleasant experience

Nice size elegantly furnished room with a squeaky clean all tiled bathroom, good sound isolation. Looking outside from my window made me feel as if I am looking to the contemporary world from one of the rooms of my century old mansion. Breakfast was okey but not special. Staff was helpful and location was 3 mins to District &Central line in Zone 1 (last station though). On the negative side it didnt have a lift(I dont know if any other hotels on the either side of the Earls Court has) I really enjoyed my staying in here.

The staff in this hotel were so friendly and helpful and are definitely the reason why I would come back.
The hotel is in an excellent location, 2 minutes walk from earls court station. The room was good, it was for a single and so was small but definitely very clean and well equipped and perfect as a stopping destination. The shower was very small though and even I at a tiny 5ft bumped my elbows a few times. The breakfast was also very good serving a variety of cold options such as cereals and fruit and was definitely all very fresh.
For the price and the location of this hotel I would definitely recommend for business travellers and couples (assuming the double rooms are a bit bigger).

Highly recommended

For £40 this was fantastic value. Very friendly staff and the room was great - large double bed, nice desk for my laptop, strong wifi signal and a great shower. My only negative was the TV was ancient and only came with the four channels - not having Freeview seemed a little strange.
Breakfast was continental and self-service, but decent enough with a nice spread.
Enjoyed my stay.

Nice little hotel - would definitely recommend

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and although it was quite small, it was comfortable and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was continental style so don't expect hot food, although what was provided was good quality. The hotel itself is handily situated near to the high street and Earls Court tube. There are also plenty of eateries nearby for lunch and dinner. Compared with other London hotels, the price was very reasonable.

We won't be staying here again, cheap and nasty!

Maybe it was just room number 22 but the shower sprayed out over the shower screen (more water on the floor than body!), the lamp in the room didn't work, the television in the room didn't work (basic commodities in a hotel room me thinks!), the carpert was filthy, the bed was rock hard and the bed cover looked like it could do with a good wash. We booked this last minute and it was cheap (for London) but it was not like the pictures and the worst hotel/B&B i've stayed in for quality and cleanliness of fixtures and fittings. Next time i'll definitely pay more to guarantee a comfortable stay and I would suggest the same to those reading this!!

Friendly hotel offering good value for money

Priced at the cheaper end of accommodation for central London I would be very surprised to find anything better value. The room was an adequate size and clean and comfortable for what I paid. Free wifi worked well, always a bonus at this price. The breakfast was plentiful, comprised of economic ingredients, again very good value for what I would expect in this budget. The staff were superb, professional and friendly, making this somewhere I would love to return to and exceeding my expectations.

Good value for money

Check-in was quick and hassle free. Room was clean and spacious (twin room) and the bathroom was huge compared to many other hotels in the same price band. Breakfast was included and well worth having, my only comments being that the buffet table got very busy/congested and it was open from 8.00am, would have preferred 7.30. We only stayed for one night (business trip) but would have been happy to stay all week.
