Correct hotel for a weekend

All the services we expect are provided : en-suite room, free wifi and breakfast included. The breakfast is totally enough for a continental breakfast : there is everything we need, cheese, jams, cereals, fruits...and it is good! Maybe there are hotels that would offer better value for money but in London it hardly seems possible..

Comfortable and very good value

I've stayed in several budget hotels in the Earl's Court area and this was the best value of them. It wasn't fussy but it was clean and comfortable; breakfast was basic but fine. There are no lifts so this could be a problem for some, especially as there are many steps and the flight to the second floor is slightly uneven. Overall I was very happy with my stay and would stay again, especially at the Late Rooms price.

Superb!!!

I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend! I was very surprised at the quality of the hotel for the price we paid. The room had all the hallmarks of a proper hotel room - big screen TV, magazines to read, tea and coffee making facilities. I have absolutely no complaints about the room. Superb. The breakfast was good, a good selection of cereals and unlimited toast, cheese, juice, coffee, tea etc. Definitely would stay there again!! Thank you!

Give this place a miss! Fawlty Towers was at least funny - this place isn't.

Where to start......
Having to climb four flights of stairs with heavy luggage without any offer of help is not the best welcome for your guests.
A double room usually means a room with a double bed which can be accessed from both sides, not a single room with a double bed in it which means I had toi climb over my partner to get into and out of bed. When we asked if we could move the receptionist said that all the doubles were that size. Sheets without holes in would have been a nice touch we thought.
Towels should be provided for two occupants, not one. When a guest asks politely for another towel that request should not be ignored by the surly receptionist so that the guest has to ask again a day later.
Hotels should not lock their front door during the day and put a "back in 5 minutes" notice on the door.
Breakfast starts at 8.00 by which time I would have expected the useless woman to have already been to the Co-op to buy the bread rather than make us go without. Then when she came bvack from shopping she stood upstairs nattering to the receptionist with the bread in her carrier bag! When and if there is any bread available then perhas the owners could invest in a couple of toasters that actually work. Never seen a large bowl of cream crackers at a breakfast buffet before! Massive uncovered bowl of yogurt was a health hazard.
Fellow guests from Australia complained that their toilet cistern wouldn't flush and the hotel had refused to fix it.
Unfortunately most staying here won't read this as they're foreign tourists booked a part of a package, but if you have a choice..... Don't stay here.
One last word.... I have now learnt never ever to pay the bill on arrival before seeing the room. We felt trapped.

One night business stay in London

Similar to reviews written about Trebovir and London Town - clean, pleasant staff and for London at £100 per night ok. Anywhere other than London - tiny room, tiny bathroom, limited breakfast. Had a particularly noisy room - could hear people next door, squeaky floorboards - room in group of 4 cramped together.

Late Booking - Chelsea Flower Show caused high demand in area

The Room was well over-priced due to local demand. Room was high up on steep stairs with no lift. Actually it was a double room, which would have been unbearable, it was cramped for 1. OK for a quick stop over and location.
