This really is an excellent hotel with fantastic...
This really is an excellent hotel with fantastic staff. Every meal we ate at the hotel was exceptional. The roast beef we ate one night was the best we have ever tasted.

Wonderful personal service and a good room but...
Wonderful personal service and a good room, but as expected in London the room was on the small side. Great location as well.

We booked for day Festive package and received...
We booked for 2 day Festive package, and received an Executive Room with Breakfast, which was brilliant. Package included afternoon tea on one of the days!We also successfuly extended our stay for another night...31/12/09....at same rate, and management were fantastic in the way they made us feel so welcome! Plan to use this hotel on future visits to London.

We stayed here on New years eve this...
We stayed here on New years eve this year. Hotel staff were slow to serve, however punctual once you got their attention.The communal areas e.g. bar and reception are really nice and clean and represent the hotel nicely. However, we went to our 'non-smoking' room on a 'non-smoking' floor and as soon as we opened the door wanted to walk back out again. Room smelt like a smokers room and was really dusty/stuffy smelling. There was no escaping the smell either and I continued to wake up with the smell on the sheets etc throughout the night. We wanted to move rooms however due to the occasion they were fully-booked and we needed somewhere to stay.I would not recommend this hotel as I feel it is extremely over priced for the quality of room you get!

Lovely old fashioned individual hotel.Staff were pleasant and helpful,breakfast and afternoon tea excellent, bed comfortable and room and bathroom well stocked.( Tea tray and kettle are hidden in the wardrobe in case you think you haven't got one). We had to stress we had booked a late check out as our booking couldn't be found on our arrival. However that was not a problem . We were locked out of our room after 12 on the day of departure and had to ask for a new key. Apparently this happens automatically but we hadn't been warned. We were charged for the "tea" but it was immediately deducted when we showed them our booking which stated "free tea"!. We'd stay here again.

Check in was flexible on timing and service...

Although I only stayed for one night with...
Although I only stayed for one night with my father, I found the hotel and service met my expectations, which is not usually the case. I selected it for its location to Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace, and was not disappointed. It is also very close to the main theatre area which could also be a major advantage to many visiting London. Most importantly though was the service. All the staff were very friendly and put themselves out,which is very important to me, especially as my father is 84. Quite expensive, but you get what you pay for. Would go again.
