New Owners, rubbish customer care. Broken Shower door, broken toilet seat, old room decour and then decided to switch off the water without anyone knowing. Beoken phone in the room and only bothered about getting guests to now pay for a £7 breakfast, which was once free. I was promised an upgrade on my next stay, as I was leaving?

I realise its London and space is at a premium but this was a poor Hotel. Where do I start...Upon arrival we were given a room in the basement, far too noisey and very tiny, it was also near the kitchen and staff frequently walked past the room. We objected and were given a 'better' room. This new room was still tiny (I could easily go to the toilet, clean my teeth and have a shower all at the same time!); it had lots of faulty or failing items (showers, cupboard doors etc) and it was simply quite unclean. You can easily hear the neighbors throughout the night so if u choose this hotel I hope you wont get the noisy snorer next door! And to Top this off we also wanted to leave our luggage with the Hotel for a few hours after checkout, they do not offer this basic facility and recommend leaving it at the station for 8 pounds per bag. What an end to our stay in the UK.

For the price (I paid £52 for the night) this hotel represented exceptional value for money. Location was excellent, room neat and tidy and the shower was fab. It was basic but the right experience for the price.

When we arrived we were given a "basement" level room. A bright blue halogen light shone through our window all night. We could hear and feel the trains travelling below us until midnight and beginning again at 5am. Very small television, no sky. The bathroom smelled like cigarettes.

Service was great and the hotel was in a good location. Our room was much smaller than we expected and smelled quite badly (awful bathroom odour).Walls were very thin as we could hear everyone that walked down the hallway quite loudly. Also, the next door room's toilet could be heard loudly through the wall. The bedroom arrangement could have been better. Only one bedside table for a double bed. Not a lot of floor space.. Tele was very small (could have had a 22" or so flat tele mounted to the wall which would have saved on floor space). Everything just seemed a little bit cramped.Bathroom was very modern and worked great!I can't stress enough how good the service was though. The team were very polite and helpful :-)

Easy to find. Small twin room with a little traffic noise. Clean and warm. Reception manned 24h - useful if train delayed. Some refurbishment ongoing so could be noisy during the day for a few weeks. Will stay again.

I thought the Royal Eagle Hotel was truly dreadful. The room was infinitesimal -- so much so, that I had to move the furniture around in order to move around the room. It was also extremely noisy: every time other customers walked down the corridor past the room, all the furniture shook. As a result, I was constantly woken during the night. The room was roasting hot as well. But perhaps the worst thing was that there as no hot water in the bathroom tap, so that I could not wash my face except by getting in the shower. I know you don't get much in London for £40, but this was like staying in a hotel in a third-world country. Appalling! I don't know how Late Rooms can class this as a 3* hotel.

I found this hotel through LateRooms and was delighted at finding a hotel in a good area close to where my graduation ceremony was being held. Although it was convenient, I would only stay at this hotel again if I found a deal like I did with LateRooms and my stay was no longer than 2 nights. The room was extremely small, the TV did not work and the shower stall overflowed within 1-2 minutes after turning on the tap. I would not have paid the original 175 pounds a night that LateRooms quoted as the hotel's normal prices. However, the staff were very friendly and they did have a service available to call a local restaurant and order for you as a replacement for not having room service.

The 3 of us stayed on the top floor in a room for 3, for 1 night. It was a little compact but the location and cleanliness of the hotel more than compensated. The only problem was a dripping ceiling directly outside of our door. The water leaked from a small hole in the ceiling and the flow varied from a drip to a duluge. The carpet was soaked and we alerted the porter who seemed unconcerned. We put our waste bin underneath to catch the water. It was very noisy at times. Other than this our stay was enjoyable.

We booked a 2 night mid week break at the Royal Eagle, London. While the room was very small, it was clean, comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. Check in was simple and hassle free - much appreciated after any flight and early start!

Booked through late rooms - i suspect that is why we got a very small room at the very top of the hotel. However for central London it was good value. It was clean but a little shabby as the building was old. Nevertheless really convenient.

I will never stay their again. Walls are paperthin, rooms are tiny, in my double room you could not even walk round the bed. Shower and toilet are tiny. Shower very difficult to get and out of. Ordered an iron and ironboard but could not expand it as room is too small. Also room was on the street side and was extremely noisy. Result I did not sleep all night!

On the plus side the shower was really good!!

Great central location. We were happy with the value for money although I wouldn't have been paying the full rate. It is a basic hotel thats great as a base for exploring London. My only complaints would be the shower was cold and the fire alarm went off for a short time in the morning.

Room and ensuite shower room were both very clean. We had three single beds in the room, which was perfect for myself and the children. The mattresses seemed new and of good quality, and were firm. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel's luggage room on both the days we arrived and left which was a big bonus.
