We enjoyed a very comfortable couple of nights at the hotel. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable. Well situated just off of oxford street and close to hyde park. U/ground just 10 mins or so away. We did eat a snack at the hotel which was very good but nit dinner or breakfast there so cannot comment.

The location of this hotel is excellent, but the room we stayed in was very small with out-dated furniture, not enough closet space, it could do with refurbishment. For a 4 star hotel it was dissapointing, not enough value for money, I thought it to be a very expensive stay.

I stayed in the Radisson SAS Portman last...
I stayed in the Radisson SAS Portman last week-end and overall was happy with my stay as my main requirement was to be very close to the centre of London. Being located just behind Marble Arch, the hotel location is great. However the room we were given had windows on the side of the building which were overlooking massive air con fans and the noise level was high and constant (the windows insulation was very poor). It's ok if you're in for a party week-end but not if you're on a business trip and trying to get some sleep. Also you could see that the room hadn't been revamped for the past few years, decoration was quite tacky and the carpet was a bit decrepit but clean. But again, great location if you're in for a city break.

Nice rooms, small but nice. Booked 2 rooms one for me and one for my parents. Both rooms were small but had all working mod cons and a good shower. The room was warm but quiet. no biscuits with the tea amking facilities upset my parents! Bar was nice but expensive, didn't eat there. Well placed for shopping as it was only 5 minutes from Marble Arch Tube and Oxford St (selfridges end).

At 129 plus VAT and with a free upgrade to a top floor business room, we did well.
Beautifully furnished room with every facility. Really good value - only slight grump was the cost of food and drink in the hotel which was certainly not below average. However very good quality everything. Wonderful position.

Had a lovely stay. The only negative point was that the bedroom (business class) was a little tired looking.

Pluses were the location and free internet access, but the (double) room was in need of redecoration and tiny (even by London standards) made worse by the lack of shelves or drawers: nowhere to store anything apart from the few things I could hang up. So a tiny room with shoes all over the floor because my T-shirts were sitting on the bottom of the wardrobe. Pure claustrophobia. Won't be going back.

We were upgraded to a business class room at no extra charge - although they tried to charge a room rate of 134.50 instead of 114.50 - this was rectified as soon as I pointed this out, staff helpful at check in and very prompt to help with a broken coffee machine. No problems with noise. Room clean and spacious (for London). Very good location - 2 min walk to Oxford Street and lots of lovely shopping.

We arrived at the hotel just after pm...
We arrived at the hotel just after 4pm, we were advised upon booking that we could check in at 3pm. Upon arrival we were informed that there were problems with the system and that we would have to wait. After half an hour of waiting i went to reception to see if i could again check in. We were then informed that there would be a further half an hour wait as our room was not ready! This was now around 2 hours later than the time we should have been checking in! As we had a show booked and needed to leave at 6:30pm, this meant that we were then unable to use the facilties that we had upgraded to use such as the gym and sauna etc. and we had to have room service (which i had to go to reception and order as the room's phone was not working) rather than using the restaurant. My wife was suffering with a bad chest infection and was therefore not really up to waiting in reception for over an hour before we could get in to our room. We were given a complimentary coffee and the price of our meal was taken off our final bill (this was 25.00) but i feel that this was insufficient as we i had booked the business class room to take advantage of the extra facilites that came along with it, which i could not use. Overall the hotel and room itself was excellent but the initial service was not up to standard for the price we paid. I would hope that we would receive some further gesture from the hotel to make up for this.

The staff at this hotel were the best I can remember having stayed with. When I told them my wife and I were there for our 10th Anniversary they gave us a free room upgrade and a tray of fruit. I had asked for some wine and flowers to be placed in the room and the flowers were beautiful and the wine excellent. They were friendly, helpful and extremely considerate. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only slight issue we had was the selection on the menu. I just did not feel there were enough choices.

Although the hotel served it's purpose, in so far as the location went (v.near to the shops/concert we attended), the 'public' areas of the hotel were very smart. Unfortunately the same couldn't be said of our room (854). It was quite 'tired' and could've done with a re-vamp. My husband coulnd't believe it was a 4* hotel!
Overpriced small ''Business Class'' room on fifth floor suffering badly from traffic noice. If light sleeper avoid rooms ending with 16. Handbasin with broken tap and stopper. Changed to room ending with 10 for second night, slightly larger and much, much quieter.
Stay again? Never at over a 1000 Pounds for 3 people in 2 rooms for a two night stay.

The location of the hotel was great. Just 2 minutes walk from Marble Arch underground & cost less than 5 in a taxi from Marylebone station. We stayed in a standard room & our laterooms price was 117 room only. On arrival the receptionist was quite aloof & we weren't "welcomed" or wished a nice stay. Our room was small but clean & nicely decorated. The queen size bed was comfortable & the air conditioning worked well. I don't have anything bad to say about the hotel but nothing particularly brilliant either. It was ok but nothing special. After reading so many good reviews I had high expectations but was left feeling quite disappointed.

Hugely disappointed to learn after my return home that my daughter had telephoned the hotel prior to my arrival to arrange wine or champagne in the room for me as it was a special ocassion. She was told this would be done but there was nothing there at all for me! I was not aware the trouble my daughter had gone to until I came back home.

Very friendly and efficient all round. Received free room upgrade due to some difficulties they were having with the lifts. This was not really an issue for me but it was a nice/thoughtful touch to provide the upgrade. Front desk staff & night porter were friendly and helpful. The minicab firm they use was excellent...a big S-class Merc (!) arrived very soon after ordering the minicab & it got me from the hotel to Stanstead airport in just 40 mins! OK, it was early on Sunday morning but that's still impressive...especially if you're running a bit late & you've just discovered the Stanstead Express trains have been replaced by a bus service that day! Like most hotels, their "rack-rate" is certainly a bit steep but, if I can get booked in for c120 a night in future, I will definitely stay here again - and would happily recommend it.

Had a problem on checking in because the reservation made via Laterooms at about 10.30pm the night before had not reached the hotel so there was in fact no reservation when we arrived at noon the next day. That said there was availability. Also on reserving on the website I specified 2 adults but was never asked for the second name although the booking confirmation specified 2 adults. Despite this they were only expecting 1 for breakfast the next morning.
