Good location if shopping. As expected for the Capital, expensive but in line with other hotels.
Used on this occassion for its close proximity to the US Embassy. Pleasant and helpful staff.

I stayed on a Saturday evening with my girlfriend.
The room was very tidy and clean just a little small.
The bathroom and overall bedroom furnishings were first class and the food was great.
Very pleasant staff.
Really liked the hotel. The only thing I never liked was the noisey air con. Kept me up a few times.

Good place and comfortable
Summary
Considering we were very close to Oxford Street, my room was very quiet. The rooms were small, but it's the centre of London! Great little find - I'd definitely use this hotel again!
Summary
Fantastic!
Summary
We had a great weekend in London with friends, took in a show, had a special event at Vinopolis. had the smallest room in London at Hotel, did receive complimentary bottle of wine plus £20 voucher per couple from Hotel in their restaurant. Good food served and quality wine. Pity the room size was not mentioned when booking, would not have accepted it at the price even with the complimentary food voucher and wine. Great location for shopping, NOT for theatres tho.
Summary
I had a short but enjoyable stay
The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful
My Single room was small but adequate and contained all I needed
I would definately stay there again when in London
This was an overnight for a business dinner which was just as well, as the room was like a shoe-box! Same shape, just scaled up with just enough room for a bed and a table. It had a window which looked into the central stairwell which was full of pipes - would have been much better if it was frosted! The tiny shower room was Ok, the shower was a nice size, bigger than the standing room in the rest of it! I don't think I'll go there again though. Friendly staff.
Summary
Good value and an excellent location, close to shops and restaurants. Excellent breakfast. My only complaint was that the lift was out of order - which I guess happens sometime
Summary
We had booked in and were on the way to the lift before being told the lift was out of order - as we were on the 4th floor I felt this was a bit naughty, even if we were on a good discounted rate. It should have been pointed out online when we booked or at least when we got to reception.
The other annoying thing was the maid service crashing around with crockery and slamming doors at 8am on a Sunday morning. A v clean and upmarket venue otherwise.
Having stayed in this hotel the week prior I was looking forward to another relaxing stay to break up a business trip. However, the hotel seems to have had something of a transformation in that short space of time.
Check in was fine. I had been upgraded to a double room on the ground floor the week before, but this was not offered, but then I only paid for a single so no worries there. The room was on the second floor and the lift was out of order. i was offered complimentarty breakfast for this inconvinience, which was a nice touch, and I headed off up the stairs to my room.
Wow. Room 212. The smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. It seemed to have been shoehorned in on the staircase. A single room, indeed, but a very small single at best.
I later asked for a glass of ice at the bar. This seemed to be lost in translation. The poor chap didn't have a clue what I was on about - but said he would send one up to the room. Half an hour later - nothing. I went down again and spoke to another chap who shook his head at his colleague and oblidged with the ice. In the morning I left for breakfast. The newspaper I ordered was noehere to be seen - and on enquiry this had not been ordered despite aa request on check in. The complimentary breakfast turned out to be more trouble than it was worth as well. It had not been noted on any paperwork and the whole thing was quite embarsassing in the end.
Not a great experience.
The bathroom is way too small, you cannot wash your face in the sink as the shelf is too low and you bang your head on the shelf.
The glass shower screen opens out and hits the sink which then restricts you getting out of the shower which is dangerous
The lift was out of operation all weekend and we was not informed of this until our arrival we had to use the stairways which are really narrow making it difficult to carry your luggage. The one stairway had a smell which was hard to describe but not pleasant.
We had a discount on our evening meal upon making the booking, this was not automatically deducted on check out, we had to wait 15 minutes for reception to sort it out with the restaurant.
This next point is not the hotel's fault but all we heard during the night was vehicles driving over a loose manhole cover in the adjacent street which made a load clatter keeping us awake.
Friendly staff, we arrived early to see if there was any chance we could check in earlier. The room was ready within 10 mins. It was clean & tidy. The only thing was the 24hr TV screen which stayed on advertising the hotel chain. Not very environmentally friendly & annoying when trying to sleep!! Didn't eat at the hotel as too expensive!!
Summary
Beautiful hotel in fantastic location
Summary
Excellent hotel, convenienently located right off Oxford Street, near Marble Arch Underground station. Got upgraded from a single to a double. Rooms not huge but have everything you need.
Summary
EXPENSIVE FOR b&b BUT ADEQUATE AND CONVENIENT
Summary
Arrived in good time - 6pm - but hotel tried to shunt me to one of two other hotels without any real explanation.
After reluctantly accepting a transfer, then found that there were no rooms at that one either. Refused the third alternative.
Was finally given a room. Good news for me, bad news for the next poor punter who turned up only to find there was no room available.
I've experienced this before in London but never before from such a respected brand as Raddison.
Ended up with a double instead of a single, and a free breakfast, but still left a sour taste.
The hotel, if they let you stay there, is very good.
The Radisson Edwardian Sussex is in a brilliant location just off oxford street and well placed for public transport. I booked a single room but was 'upgraded' to a twin on arrival. The room was clean and well presented (with lots of mirrors - bonus marks!) but was possibly the smallest room I have ever stayed in. There was barely room for one person, never mind two, and I would have been very upset had I paid for a twin.
Room service...what can I say. On the first night they made a mistake with my order and it took around 1 hour to bring me the correct order by which point my desert had congealed and the sides (which were obviously the ones i had sent back originally) were cold. A complimentary diet coke didn't do much to make me any happier! On the second night I was brought something different to what I ordered which I was happy enough to accept for an easy life however then discovered that I had been brought a house wine and charged for a rather more expensive one...
I gave up on room service after that.
However I have to say all the staff were very friendly and welcoming and helpful, despite the mistakes and it wasn't an overall unpleasant stay.
Location was excellent just off Oxford Street and only a few minutes walk from Marble Arch tube station. The staff made the stay even more enjoyable nothing was too much trouble.
Summary
hotel room a little small but in central london more than acceptable.
One negative note that the bathroom had a step up to it and was difficult for my wife who had damaged her knee. Other than that extreemly good value for the rate that we paid. Would not pay full rate.
We stayed here for my Boyfriend's Birthday, and I coudn't have asked for a better hotel. The service was excellent, everytime we left our room we came back to a made-bed, and complimentary chocolate strawberries!! The staff were very accomodating, and the location was brilliant, literally just off oxford street!
Although our room was reasonably simple, it was extremely clean, and included everything you needed.
I will definately be visiting again and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit the westend shops or restaurants etc.
Great location for shoppping but if you do stay here make sure you ask for a room at the rear. We were in room 210 which was at the front and were woken by around 330 in the morning with the bins being emptied followed by wagons reversing so they could deliver. Did complain at recption and were told they would make a note of it!
Summary
Having stayed at many London hotels over the years, we wanted to find a good quality hotel near Marble Arch and Oxford st. This is what we found at a very reasonable price just by Marble Arch tube station.
Staff were friendly, and the room is what we expected for the price. The accomodation was clean and of good quality. The breakfast was great, and our stay went without hitch.
Well done, we would stay again.
Lovely hotel,a stone throw from Oxford street, tube is a 2 minute walk. The food was fantastic as were the staff. The only negative was the room, it was extremely small and window opened to an alcove. Wouldn't recommend for a romantic weekend.
Summary
Accomodation more than adequate. Bathrooms a bit small but acceptable. Staff at reception and in the dining were excellent. Welcoming, friendly and attentive.
Pity all hotels in London are so expensive!!
Hotel is expensive for poor quality rooms. For a Radisson this is a very expensive hotel and should either close, which I believe it may, or price against budget hotels, who would do a better job.
Summary
I found the hotel friendly and comfortable. It is in an ideal location close to Marble Arch and Bond Street. Beware much of Oxford Street is restricted to trafic and on \saturday morning the Jubilee line was closed. The room (upgraded to a twin) was very modern, not huge, but very adequate and clean. The breakfast was excellent.
Summary
Excellent staff and location. Breakfast good with lots of variety if you are staying for a few days. Room compact but luxurious with everything you need. We were on the ground floor at the back. There was no view but that was more than compensated for by it being beautifully quiet. Would return.
Summary
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The single room was a bit too small however I was upgraded to twin room.
Summary
Ideal place for shoppers, but not for a romantic retreat. The hotel has smoking rooms though, so as a heavy smoker I appreciate it.
Summary
Also described as a single room, it was absolutely tiny. Barely bigger than the single bed it contained. Not sure how they can claim it is four star. Perfect location tho, just off Oxford Street.
Summary
A lovely hotel with great staff and the rooms are so comfortable and cosy. I will definitely stay there again.
Summary
Very slow check in servicetook quite some time to get a room key. Room was adeeqate but 'bijou'
Summary
Great value for money alternative to a Park Lane Hotel.
Summary
Overall nice stay-was given a room initially which was on the ground floor and noisy but the staff were very understanding and changed it immediately to a 4th floor quiet room-

Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Great location too. Wonderful!
Summary
Convenient location....for oxford street shopping - not the usual standard I would expect from the Radisson Group, complained about the room being very tiny....only upgraded as friend staying 3 nights...very expensive have stayed in far better 4 star hotels in London for much less
Summary
THe hotel is centrally located for the West End but in a quiet location behind Oxford Street. There is only one lift which can mean moving round the hotel can be slow. The room I was in, upgraded to a twicn from a single was smaller than most single rooms I have been in. but overall the room was suitable for my requirements and very well presented and outfitted. Overall, for the price and location, better than expected.
