Not good

I stay almost exclusivly at Raddison SAS hotels, this was not to the level of Raddison.. No mini bars in ANY rooms, not even a bottle of water.. Very noisy rooms, windows leaked air and was cold. Complained to the manager in the morning, promiced me he would take care of it, when I returned in the evening after meetings all day, new shift manager knew nothing about it, so I had to do it all again resulting being late for dinner meeting.. I had delux king size room, and it was very small, and even smaller bathroom.. Maids walked into room at 8.10am without knocking.. I could go on!!! Totaly overpriced.. Not to Raddison standards in my view. Bed was comfortable, bathroom small, no bath, but this was the only place I was happy with.. Staff were courtious and tried to help, but you cant turn a sows ear into a silk purse.. Very dissapointed...

Superior Double Rooms

We booked a superior double, and whilst the room was very nice I don't think it really could be classed as superior. The room was interior and over looked an external staircase that was used by the cleaners and kitchen staff so we had to keep the blinds closed. Whilst we would stay at the hotel again (the staff were excellent) next time I would check the status of the room before checking in. Also we got back to the hotel relatively early and the bar area was closed, which may bare thinking about as well.

Not a Superior Room

We had a wonderful stay and everything was first class except the room. We booked a superior room and it was beautifully furnished and decorated but it was a corner room and very small, hence the clothes rail, drawers, tea and coffee tray plus the only mirror's in the room were all situated in the bathroom and that just didn't work. This room would be ideal as a single superior but not a double superior. This would not deter me from staying at this hotel again because in every other way it was excellent.

Good Central Location

The reception and public areas are nicely decorated and welcoming upon arrival. Our room would be best described as a small double with an en-suite shower-room. It was also well decorated and functional. However it was close to the lift (room 404) and therefore noisy. If I stayed in the hotel again, I would request a different room. It might be worth paying more for a larger room.
The staff were pleasant.

The hotel was fine for an overnight stay in the centre of London. It was a shame that they have building work going on outside the front door as it detracts from the hotels kurb appeal but it certainlt didn't interfer with the smooth running of the hotel or my nights sleep. All in all a good package with top marks for staff enthusiasm.

Disappointed

A very poor second to its 5* neighbour hotel of the same name actually in Leicester Square into which I thought I had booked. The bar is dismal at night, empty of customers when I got back from the theatre. Breakfast on tiny tables OK but very average by any standard.
Sorry, but well below Radisson Edwardian normal standards

Felt like honored guests

My 16 year old son and I switched from the My Hotel in Bloomsbury to this establishment and boy were we happy about that! The staff of this hotel could not have been more helpful and efficient. Every question was answered, maps printed out for us and things looked up on their computers and printed out for us. They made restaurant reservations, walked us to locations, hailed cabs and hauled cases. It was just a pleasure. The ONLY thing that was not perfect was the temp of the room which was a tad hot, but we solved that by opening the window. Great location and perfect for theatre.

Businessman

Well run hotel with a friendly staff but small room and breakfasts poor for a hotel of this quality. Reasonably quiet for its location which is brilliant for restaurants and theatre. Hard to find if you don't know it's off the SOUTH side of Leicester Square.

Expectations

Excellent location, 400 yards from Trafalgar Square, and the Tube Station, 2 x Weatherspoon pubs very close by too,
hotel kept secure, very clean and tidy, key code entry to landing area to get to your room, room a bit small but ok, bathroom floor tiled, but no radiator or underfloor heating, the "heated" tower rail did not work very well, so bathroom always cold, for £165 room only you expect more, plus the cleaning trolley was parked outside our room, not put away !!

Accommodation

We were reserved a room in the annexe of the hotel (rather than the main complex) which was clean and tidy but felt more like a large guest house than a top quality west-end hotel. The room was clean but very small. It had no bath which was surprising given that we were upgraded on arrival. Really disappointing television choices. Location of the hotel is first-class which, i guess, is what we really paid for ? Finally, breakfast not included in the price which, again, for the money spent seemed really rich.

Stayed 9th October 2010

Location of this Hotel was excellent.
General helpfullness of staff was very good.
What was poor is that for a coffee after 5pm or a drink post theatre at 11pm you have to go to the Radisson opposite (The Hampshire). A which point you then get the inquisition as to who you are and proving that you are indeed staying at their Sister Hotel before they will serve you.
I stayed at the radisson Kenilworth recently and felt it far better value for money and will probably stay there mext time.

Spendy but great location

This hotel is right on leicester square and near the tickets kiosk, and has recently been remodeled. The rooms are quite small but nicely done and the new air conditioning is why i came back. Love the location but it's still expensive.
