Average

Just an average airport hotel with a high price tag ... There are many other hotels in the area which would offer more bang for your buck. Did the job, however (an overnight hotel connection at Heathrow). Would explore cheaper alternatives next time.

Prepare to queue

Have stayed here twice within past few weeks. Comments there fore based upon both.
On the first visit despite being advised otherwise at reception, my initial room strongly smelled of smoke. The room was tired and dated. I was then moved to a superior room. Checking out the following morning involved a long wait.
The second visit started with having to join a queue of something like 20 x guests checking in. There was also a mix up over the amount charged the following morning. Same old queue to check out the following morning. This then followed with an out of order parking machine. So, another wait at reception to pay an exit fee (in retrospect not aware I could have paid it here on the first place). So, altogether it took around half an hour to fully check out.
Heathrow hotels are often ridiculously expensive and this hotel obviously takes the initiative to be a little more competitive. Overall, I would say an "okay" sort of hotel.

Excellent Lateroom deal for Radisson Edwardian - Heathrow

Arrived at midnight. Staff were very courteous. Room was excellently furnished, with comfortable bed and a luxurious bathroom. The only drawback was the noisy air-conditioning, required because the hotel was so warm. Breakfast was good quality and fresh. Service from one waiter was perfunctory but this was an exception. Checkout staff were all smiles and I left feeling very positive about the stay.

Excellent as always

I've stayed at this hotel a few times now in fact anytime I am flying in or out of heathrow I will always stay at the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow. I can't commend the staff enough for thier kindness, helpfulness and friendliness, they really are a great bunch but a special thank you for this stay has to go to Sidharth for giving me an upgrade to a superior Queen room. As I was travelling with my 3 year old son he really could'nt have been more helpful and more to the point my son had a whale of a time and anyone with a young family will understand the need to keep your children happy when travelling. Thank you Sidharth, I really appreciate your assistance.
10/10.
As a very frequent traveller on business I am moving closer and closer to staying with Radisson on more or less all of my business trips, the staff really are fantastic but more to the point with Radisson there is not so much of this money grabbing which is becoming more frequent with hotels nowadays, I stayed at another large hotel chain over this weekend and everything had to be paid in advance, parking, food, a bottle of water, everything, even although they had already swiped my card it was like dealing with robots, we need to swipe your card again sir, you have to pay in advance for that sir, It really is annoying. As a business man myself I understant the needs of business and payment is essential but some humanity has to be shown as well.
Anyway, good on Radisson for still having the human touch and I can only assume that this comes down from management so keep up the good work looking after your guests but more to the point make sure you look after the wonderful staff you have at the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow, from the barstaff to the cleaners, concierges and front of house, all fantastic.
Many Thanks
Alex

Overall a good and effecient hotel , but keep in mind the shuttle to airport cost 6 gbp per person and if you are 2 or more would recommend to book a taxi, which was 16 gbp but then you get straight to the airport and not stopping at various hotels to pick up other people.

Confusing Car Park...

Great location for hotel for airport etc....I had a nice room which was quiet and at the end of the hallway, and must have been newly updated?
Car park was huge so was confusing but the security man was very kind and helped with the car parking. Very nice young lady at reception desk also.
PS....Swansea is in Wales...not England.

Public transport ovr the road from the hotel is quick and free to and from the airport. Hotel is vert convenent for heathrow and we left the car there for fairly reasonable charge. Hotel was quite epmty because we were there over a public holiday so don't know what it would be like duing the week if there were lots of conferences going on.

Leisure Break

I booked 2x rooms at a very low price for two couples. We used the hotel as a base for travelling into London centre. The hotel exceeded my expectations and the staff were particularly friendly and professional. We had the buffet menu in the Brasserie which was OK but nothing special. The shuttle to the terminal costs £4.50/person which we thought was expensive since we could have shared a taxi cheaper than that (£10). However if you cross the road you can get a service bus which was free for some reason. Getting into London took about 1hr 15mins although on the way back, there was a fire in the tube and it took us 2 hours, so this is a risk.
Overall I think it was a really good hotel to use as a base and I would stay again if the price was right.

Could do better....

The free wifi internet service in all rooms didn't work in my room, and this was a problem which was ongoing in that particular area of the hotel, albeit intermittent - which seemed to be the excuse for not having done anything to fix this pre-existing problem. In fairness I was offered a room change - but who wants that kind of hassle once you've already settled in? I settled for going down to the wifi lounge - but I would have preferred to have remained in my room.
Very long, poorly lit and identically decorated corridors made for my getting lost - along with various other hotel guests- so better signing - maybe even a couple of maps ("you are here" style), would help.

4 hour queue to check in........

Arrived in the afternoon to a lobby full of people waiting to check in. Apparently they had overbooked in the previous 24 hours leaving lots of guests without a room. These guests were put up in a neighbouring hotel and transport provided. Although this was good customer service and the problem not seemingly being at the fault of the hotel I feel it could have been dealt with much more efficicently. With only 2 members of staff at check in for most of the wait and no organised queue I was stood queueing for 4 hours (longer than my journey from Yorkshire!). 3 hours in it was decided by a member of staff (manager?) to organise the queue, which then meant I went from being near the front to being at the back again! By this point having not eaten all day (although of course not the hotels fault but I was planning to eat when checked in) and standing in what seemed like the exact same spot for a very long period of time I felt nauseous and faint. I asked a member of staff where the toilets were as I thought I was going to faint I was told in a very short manner they were up the stairs and he just walked away. As I wouldn't have made it up the stairs I managed with the help of the wall to walk to an empty room and sat on the floor. Totally ignored by any passer by (probably best though to be honest as I was quite embarrassed but still!) Anyway eventually got checked in by 7.30pm. Room clean but very old fashioned which I guess is reflected in the price so not a problem. All in all nothing what I expected from the Radisson. I also usually never ever complain but comparing it to waits due to snow at Heathrow and Paris airport it seems ridiculous to have waited almost as long to simply check into a room.

Great- apart from long queues at reception and the bistro

It was a chaotic night we stayed on, when Heathrow was shut because of the snow and fortunately we arrived early (and were let into the room early which was a godsend). Had we arrived any later the queue in reception was huge and people were telling us they had queued for more than 2 hours even if they had a reservation. Separate queues for those with/ without reservations would have been a really good idea.
We booked to eat in the bistro and again it was a good job we did. The tables were never full but people were constantly being turned away because they were "full" which seemed rediculous. The service was generally poor, with the salt celler on the table being completely empty and long waits at every stage. The food was average.
