Short Stay Review

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bar snack menu was good value for money for London if you fancied a quick sandwich. The single room was tiny but had everything you needed for a one night stay but you would not want to spend much time in there. Location is excellent and most places a stroll or a quick cab ride away. Good hotel for a base in central london.

A great hotel in the centre of London

You can't get much more central than this and, despite the elevated prices, the service was very friendly and felt genuine. Only stayed one night, but the bar was good (expensive - but aren't they all) and the room was a teensy bit tired (fuzzy analogue TV). However, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, provided a little birthday gift on the spur of the moment and checked that we were settled in ok. Worth it.

Amazing value for a Central London hotel

£127 for one night including afternoon tea, bed and full English breakfast. Excellent value for a central London hotel on Oxford street.
One thing against this hotel for the moment, is that the Cross London Rail Link is currently being built and the Bond Street Station is right next door to the hotel where there are major building works, expect some noise. If possible ask for a room on the Left side of the building away from the building works.

Excellent location and food

We had a seasonal deal which was very good value and included breakfast, afternoon tea and a late check out, however administration at the hotel couldn't cope with this and we kept being challenged about payment and our room cards stopped working at 11am on check out day (have fed this back to the hotel already and they responded well so hopefully this won't happen in future). Having said that, the staff were all very pleasant and friendly and we thought the food was excellent and the location is wonderful for shopping theatre trips. Would stay there again

Good service, great location

Very friendly staff, looked after my luggage while I popped out again. Handy for the shops, over the road from bond street tube. Not the cheapest you can find, but worth the 30 quid more for the location and friendliness. Room a little small, bathroom was really nice.

August stay at the Radisson Edward Berkshire

We stayed Sunday to Monday night. Location was brilliant and easy to find, we came out of Bond Street tube station and to the right was our hotel. Our room was a twin, it was small but adequate and our view from the window was the debenhams building, which is to be expected in a city, but we weren't complaining! Just round the corner was James Street, which had a lot of restaurants which you could sit outside! Amazing!! We didn't eat at the hotel as we had only booked a room, but we stopped in the restaurant while waiting for our taxi to the station and it was lovely. However when you book a taxi from the hotel, do not except anything other than the local black taxis. They organise a private taxi and then the taxi man guesses the charges, always higher than fare taxis!!!!!

Not the high Standard you would expect

We were upgraded to a suite without asking and the hotel tried to charge more than our agreed rate through Laterooms? The reception took ages to check in and out.
The room we had was fantastic, but very very noisy due to poor double glazing on thebalcony door.

Great location

The rooms were fairly small but spotless with good facilities, didn't mind the size as we only stayed for one night and the location more than made up for it. Great base for shopping on Oxford and Regent Street.

Excellent location in Central London & the rooms are nice and comfortable. Only downside is the windows aren't double glazed so if there is a major event on at Hyde Park (which there was when I stayed at the hotel), then you can hear it from your room (it was over by about 10.30pm). Other than that I would definately stay here again.

Cooked breakfast expensive and not the usual Radisson quality
Room clean and tidy, but for an executive room, very small with a tiny bathroom

Very good location right next door to Debenhams on Oxford Street. Lovely hotel.

A couple of things that we found the bed was quite small and the rooms was very warm. We had to sleep with window open in December!
But other than that very good hotel and friendly staff.

Convenient one-night stay

Hotel has a Pleasant 'chic-boutique' style, comfortable beds (we had twin) and all that was necessary in a very compact space! Breakfast was expensive but expansive, however the quality of my watery scrambled eggs and uncooked 'cooked' tomatoes could be improved. Service was chaotic. Brilliant location for the centre.

Short stay in London

I was very impressed by this quality hotel particularly if you need an ideal central location for London. Based opposite Bond Street Tube on Oxford Street, this hotel was just right with a good standard of accommodation and food. It is ideal for a short stay or business meeting.

Very disappointing. Double rooms not big enough for couples, lacking in features and not practical.

The double room we booked (for £195) was simply not big enough! Only one bedside table and no dressing table / desk. We agreed to pay £30 for an upgraded room which included a sofa, a coffee table and a second bedside table in the room. Again too small. No mains sockets or sockets in the wrong places. Bathroom was minute and with dangerous gloss-tiled floors. Breakfast was appalling in quality and when we both got up to go and get some jam the table was cleared !! On the plus side the staff we had dealings with were actually very good, polite and helpful.
On advice from Laterooms we asked to speak to the manager before checkout. He was very polite and understanding and offered to forget the £30 upgrade change and refund £50 of the original charge, which we thought was very good of him and we accepted.
Overall, not a recommended hotel from our point of view.

2nd time we've stayed at this hotel and both times we have been woken before 7am by the laundary lorry loading and unloading, the windows have no soundproofing so if your a light sleeper.... don't worry you'll be able to get up early for breakfast which was v.good if a little erratic as to what was available and when. otherwise a good hotel in a great location, we will stay here again but at the front of the building next time.

Room type!

Although I requested a twin room through laterooms the hotel said they had no such request and put my self and my 16 year old son in a double room. He was not impressed! I asked for a twin room at reception but was told there was not one available even when I pointed out the sex/age difference. The room itself was well appointed over Oxford Street but was very quiet as well insulated. Very close to Selfridges and all the shops.
