Breakfast was very poor. All self service. No table service at all not even for drinks. Was suppopsed to be Continental but the choice was sparse. Toast and croissants, corn flakes and rice crispies, jam and butter,,,no margarine or marmite...no eggs....cheese...ham or pastries...no fruit except for tinned (proper continental). 3 days of exactly the same boring breakfast choice not very appealing or appetising.
Location great for a city break but quite a noisey building so if you are a quiet sleeper take ear plugs
If you just expecting basic accommodation which is clean then this is ok. There was no trouser press in our rooms. 2 of the rooms we booked were reasonable size, but ours was very small which made it warm. Had to have window open as a result and was kept awake by the noise from the hostel opposite on the first night.
However, the position of the hotel was excellent - close to parking and a tube station. Also, access to the hotel was fine.
All in all you get what you pay for.

This is a very practical hotel for a short stay. The staff are helpful although the room staff have very little English. There has been a refurbishment which is still in generally good condition but will shortly need to be refreshed in some areas, particularly the Reception area.
I would reccoment this hotel for its practical location, near to tubes and bus services, the friendly staff and the more facilities sufficient for a short stay. Excellent value.

Where to start Firsly the rooms to not...
Where to start! Firsly the rooms to not have trouser presses as advertised. When I discovered that there wasn't one in my room I asked for an iron, 8 times in two day! They couldn't provide me with one in the duration of my stay. Several note were left behind rececption but they seemed to have dissapeared everytime I next asked. The manager ensured me that there was a trouser press in every room so after visiting several empty rooms to try and locate one we couldn't! Therefore I had to spend the duration of my stay in heavily creased clothes which looked good when I travelled to work the following day.
The room was tiny. Not big enought for two people to get changed at the same time. The bed was uncomfortable and we found hairs in the bed from the previous occupiers. When we complained about this and asked to be moved to a different room because the sheets had not been changed we were told that this was not possible and the maid would be around shortly yo change which she didn't. The TV in the room was unwatchable for two reason. Firstly it was mounted to high to it strained your neck even when I laid down in bed. Secondly the picture was so bad it was unwatchable any way.
The bathroom was ting also, the shower was blocked and flooded when used and the towels were like sand paper.
Customer service was appauling, the maid were aggressive, the manager was useless and the rececptionist's were rude.
The food was (when I say food I mean breakfast because the resturant/bar wasn't open at any other time altought there were menus posted on the walls!) rubbish. Stale bread and turning milk to accompany two choices of cereals is not my idea of continental breakfast.
I can safely say as a frequent traveller that this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Safe to say this completely ruined my trip. Many thanks to all the staff and the owner/directors of this hell hole. Much appreciated. No wonder they took payment on avival rather than departure.

we were looking forward to a couple of days stay in London in a small and good hotel. Well, there was nothing good about it. The rooms were small and dirty. there were stains on the walls, the bed and blankets. there were holes in the wall and carpet. It was unpersonal and pettifull. In the middle of the night, some kind of alarm went of in the room, which we got no explanation for, and it was a constant nois from the bathroom. The location of the hotel was like we expected, but the "quiet" street it was in, got very noisy late at night, and in the morning constructianworkers were at it just outside making a lot of noise. The hotell itself were old, and the hallways were very small, and the floors were squiking.
The breakfast were poorly and not at all what we were accspecting, frankly the hotell was NOTHING like the pictures! The whole weekend we assured to be out sightseeing, avoiding any unnessosary time inside the hotel, we went only back to sleep. We will NEVER stay here again, and will not recommend it to anyone!! Pay a little more money and stay in a better hotel, you will not regret it. Stay way!

Don't be misled by the debatable 3* self-rating of this hotel. The interior has seen much better days, the room we stayed in (and in fact the whole 5th floor) smelt of cigarettes and the "Continental Breakfast" led a lot to be desired. The room was cramped and roastingly hot, even for a cool May weekend, so goodness knows what travellers who stop in mid-summer must experience. My advice - pay that 30-40 more for a more established hotel and leave feeling refreshed and relaxed, rather than grubby and annoyed!
The one good point of the hotel was it's location - right next to Regents Park - and easy access to the attractions of London through a short taxi or tube ride. Such a shame the beautiful exterior of this hotel is spoilt by what lies beneath!

Although I didn't eat breakfast, I could see that the breakfast room was full and would not have been able to sit anywhere to eat anyway. I would stay here again however, I would ask for a room that was not in the basement.

Bathroom was very small, couldnt swing a cat! and i could reach from one side to the other without stretching!! Tea making facilities was a plus although it was cream not milk so made tea taste of cream. was quite noisy with the traffic and work men in early hours of morning. But our window was open wide due to the heat in the room. No air conditioning which would have made our stay much better as the day was around 26c so didnt drop much at night. We had pre-booked full english breakfast, had trouble in the morning as we were only down for continental so this caused a little bit of delay, but they sorted it out brilliantly. Closest tube is Queens way, it took about 4 minutes to walk if that. Would recommend if your on a budget as only paid 55 for two people with full english breakfast.

This hotel should not be listed by Late Rooms - it is of such poor quality it devalues the rating given. It is in a terrible state of repair and every guest seems to be unhappy with the quality of their room. The bedding was covered in human hair and the carpets not vacuumed. It was unbearably hot and there are no temperature valves. The breakfast is minimal and serving staff rude in not wanting to help guests in any way. A very unpleasant experience for a seasoned traveller who was only looking for a simple clean bed for the night at a reasonable price.

Very good value for Central London and area with good access to several tube lines. Rooms quite small (double bed of 140 cm width right next to wall), but reasonable size of bathroom. Good service, helpful staff. Perhaps you could require room facing the garden, as there is a hostel right across the street where they partied good part of Friday and Saturday night.

While we thought it was very economical and the service was good, the problem was that the hotel was so HOT. There was no air going through. it was stuffy and therefore we had to have the window open all night, and were kept awake by the heat and noise. It was May - not a heatwave. I can't imagine what it would be like in summer with no air conditioning.

the worst hotel i have ever stayed in in my life. there was building work going on literally straight across the hall from us, the shower didnt work and the staff politics within the hotel were entertaining to say the least (arguing, pettiness etc). when we arrived at the hotel we were TWICE put in the wrong room (a single, as opposed to the booked double), we were treated horribly by the uncaring, unproffesional staff and the breakfast considered of little more than bread and butter (we even had to toast our own bread!). all in all it was a horrific establishment, and i will never return, nor would i recommend it, the sole saving grace being that the state of the hotel encouraged us to do as much sight-seeing as possible.

Restaurant doesn't exist. Small breakfast area - not what i imagined before I went. Breakfast choice is cereal, toast, bread rolls, croissants, tinned fruit salad, tea, coffee, orange. Whole place definately basic. Would need a refurb. Just about clean but as it was old it looked shoddy and dingy. Bed really uncomfortable. Walls paper thin - kept awake by man next door snoring! Good location, bus stop 1 minute walk from hotel door. Staff very helpful and friendly. OK as a very basic base but couldn't honestly recommend or plan to return. Paid 215 for 3 nights, barely worth this and definately not worth the 420 quoted directly by hotel.

We paid for superior rooms - I dread to know what the standard rooms were like. Also we booked with full english breakfast but had to ask at reception as the breakfast staff said we could not have it. The reception staff rectified this and gave us a 15 refund for our inconvenience which we appreciated.
